Floor Mat Rental
Mats stop working long before they look worn
We supply the mats, swap them on a fixed round and deep-clean them at the plant. A saturated mat is not a clean floor with a dirty mat on it — it is a mat that has stopped doing anything and started moving dirt around.
- We own them
- No capital outlay, no disposal
- Fixed round
- Swapped on a schedule, not on request
- Per contract
- Priced on mat count, size and frequency

What goes wrong
A saturated mat moves dirt, it does not trap it
Matting has a working capacity. Past it, the mat is a transfer surface — and it looks fine right up until someone slips on it.
-
It fills up and nobody notices
A mat holds a finite amount of grit and water. Once full it stops absorbing and starts redistributing, and there is no visual cue at the moment it crosses over.
-
Wet matting is a slip risk
A saturated mat in an entrance in London in February is the single most likely place in a building for someone to go over. Swapping on a schedule is the control.
-
Bought mats never get cleaned properly
Vacuuming lifts surface debris and leaves the embedded grit that wears the pile out. Once a bought mat degrades, it sits there because replacing it is a capital decision nobody wants to make.
How it runs
Four steps, and you do none of them
The whole service is designed so nobody at your site has to think about matting.
-
Survey the entrances
Traffic, door width, weather exposure and what is being walked in. That sets mat type, size and swap frequency — a back-of-house kitchen mat and a main entrance are different problems.
Before anything is supplied
-
We supply the mats
No capital outlay and no disposal cost at end of life. Sizes and types are chosen for the entrance, not from a two-option catalogue.
Ours, not yours
-
Swap on the round
Clean mats in, used mats out, on our own van and on a schedule agreed up front. Nobody has to notice a mat is saturated and ring someone.
Fixed schedule
-
Deep clean at the plant
Industrial washing removes embedded grit that vacuuming leaves behind, which is what restores absorbency rather than just appearance.
Not vacuumed on site
Priced per contract on mat count, size and swap frequency.
Standards
The mats are ours to keep working
On rental we own the matting, so a mat that has stopped performing is our cost to replace rather than a capital request that sits in someone's inbox. That is the actual difference between renting and buying — not the monthly figure.
Mats are cleaned at our own Wembley plant on the same site as the commercial linen. Nothing is sub-contracted and nothing is cleaned on your premises.

Mats are one part of an entrance. If you also need washroom towels or workwear, they run on the same account and the same round.
Rent or buy
The arithmetic is not really about the monthly figure.
- Buying
Cheap once, then never maintained
A bought mat is a one-off cost and then a maintenance problem nobody owns. Most bought matting is replaced years after it stopped working.
- Renting
Fixed cost, condition guaranteed
Supply, swap, cleaning and replacement in one figure. The mat is always working because keeping it working is our cost, not a decision you have to make.
- Honestly
Buy if it is a low-traffic door
A back office with two people through it a day does not need a rental contract. We will say so.
We will tell you if renting is not worth it for your site.
Collected and returned on our own vans, on a fixed round.

Floor mat rental, answered
How does floor mat rental work?
We survey the entrances, supply the matting, and swap clean for used on a fixed round. Used mats go back to Wembley for industrial cleaning.
You own nothing, store nothing and dispose of nothing.
Can I just buy mats instead?
You can, and for a quiet back door we will say so rather than sell you a contract.
The problem with bought matting is not the purchase — it is that nobody owns its upkeep. It degrades quietly until replacement becomes a capital request that sits in an inbox.
How is it priced?
Per contract — mat count, size and swap frequency.
No published per-mat rate, because a main entrance mat swapped weekly and a back-office mat swapped monthly are not the same product. Send the entrance list and we price it.
What happens when a mat wears out?
We replace it, at our cost.
Mat condition being our problem rather than yours is the main reason to rent rather than buy.
How often are mats swapped?
On a schedule agreed at survey: typically weekly or fortnightly, more often for exposed entrances in winter.
The point is that it happens whether or not anyone at your site notices. A mat that only gets swapped when someone complains is a mat that spends most of its life saturated.
Do you do logo mats?
Yes — printed with your branding, and swapped and cleaned on the same round as everything else.
Worth knowing: a logo mat at a main entrance wears faster than a plain one is expected to, because it is usually placed where the traffic is.
Are the mats cleaned on site?
No — they go to the Wembley plant and are washed industrially.
On-site vacuuming lifts surface debris and leaves embedded grit, which is what actually wears the pile out and kills absorbency.
Can you cover multiple sites?
Yes — one schedule, one account manager, one invoice.
Collections run in the 06:00–01:00 window Monday to Saturday across 1,034 areas.

Not replaced early, and not left down long after it stopped working.
- Mats are cleaned and returned to service rather than replaced at the first sign of wear.
- Industrial cleaning restores absorbency, so a mat reaches its real service life instead of being thrown out saturated.
- Swaps ride existing rounds — no dedicated vehicle for matting.
- End-of-life mats are ours to dispose of, which means they are disposed of properly.
