Restaurant Laundry · London & the Home Counties

Restaurant Linen & Chef Whites Back Before Service

Tablecloths, napkins, aprons and chef whites collected on a fixed round and returned pressed, counted and sorted — the same standard for a 24-cover bistro as for a 300-cover brasserie.

What goes wrong

Linen should be the one thing you never think about

Kitchens rarely change supplier over price. They change after a Friday when the cloths arrived late, came back marked, or ran out entirely.

  • Deliveries that miss service

A late drop means the team lays up with whatever was left in the cupboard, ten minutes before the doors open.

  • Grease that never lifts

Wine, oil and candle wax each need their own temperature and chemistry. One programme for everything returns cloths you cannot put on a table.

  • Par levels set for a quiet week

Stock built around a Tuesday does not survive a full Saturday, and chef whites are the first thing to run short.

How it works

Four steps from first call to first collection

Most of the work happens before the first collection, and most of it is ours.

Serving London Since 2009
  1. The count

We look at a real week of service — covers midweek, covers at the weekend, and what a turn actually costs you in cloths.

    An hour, on site

  2. Par levels that flex

Par is set to your busiest day, not your average one, so a full Saturday does not empty the cupboard by Sunday lunch.

    Reviewed after a full month

  3. A fixed slot

Collections settle into a window that sits outside service — not a two-hour promise that lands mid-lunch.

    Agreed, then kept

  4. Back before the doors

Table linen pressed and counted, chef whites on hangers, kitchen cloths bagged by type. Nothing needs sorting on arrival.

    One invoice, one contact

Running more than one site? The same account manager covers all of them, on one invoice and one collection round.

How it is processed

Your linen is not subcontracted

There is one building between your linen and ours: a plant in Wembley that we own and run.

It also means kitchen soil is treated as kitchen soil — grease, wine and wax on the right programme, not whatever the machine was already running.

Switching supplier without missing a service

Most operators stay with a supplier they have stopped rating, because changing one feels like risking a service. It is the objection we hear most, so here is exactly how it runs.

  1. Before you commit

We count a real week, not an average one

An hour on site: what goes out on a Saturday, what is still in the wash, what is past saving. You keep every item you own — nothing is bought back or written off to make a contract look neater.

  2. The changeover

    Both suppliers run at once

Your current supplier finishes their cycle while our round starts delivering. For that week you are holding more than you need, which is the point — there is no service you lay up short for.

  3. From then on

    One round, one contact

Collections settle to a fixed day and window, processed at one plant in Wembley. It becomes a delivery you stop noticing.

Nothing here needs you to be out of contract first — the count and the plan cost you nothing either way.

The week you switch is the week nobody notices.

What London businesses actually say

4.7/5

  • Table presentation is everything in Mayfair. They handle our heavy cotton damask tablecloths and chef whites with real precision — stains vanish and the starch finish is always spot on. The daily collection has never let us down.
Mateo Rossi Restaurant General Manager · Fine dining restaurant
  • Whether we are catering a wedding or a corporate launch, linen presentation has to be immaculate. We get crisp, vacuum-sealed table linens and pristine chef jackets every time — a genuine operational ally.
Julian Bennett Executive Director of Operations · Catering & event production
  • Our membership expects discretion and immaculate standards. Dining room linens and guest suites are laundered to a bespoke standard, and the discretion around our account has been absolute.
Alistair Finch Club Secretary & General Manager · Private members' club
  • Running a busy dining room alongside eight letting rooms needs a versatile laundry partner. Kitchen aprons, table runners and bed sheets all go in one collection, and the seven-day pickup schedule flexes around us.
Liam Gallagher Operations & Pub Manager · Gastro pub with rooms
  • LP Laundry has been an absolute game-changer for our 45-room boutique hotel. Turnaround on our bed linens and heavy plush towels is inside 24 hours without a single delay. We could not be happier with the crisp, immaculate finish.
Charlotte Vance Front of House & Accommodation Manager · 45-room boutique hotel
  • Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa
  • Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio
  • In clinical and aesthetic practice, hygiene standards have to meet rigorous compliance. High-temperature sanitised gowns, drapes and bed covers arrive reliably every week. I trust their quality control completely.
Dr Elena Rostova Clinic Director · Private healthcare clinic

Restaurant laundry — the questions we get most

Do you cover my area?

We run fixed rounds across London and the Home Counties — 1,034 areas in all, from a single plant in Wembley.

  • Every area has its own page with the collection days, the plant distance and the venues already on that round.
  • Coverage extends to around 100 miles, so a kitchen well outside the M25 is on a scheduled day rather than turned away.
How do you deal with grease, wine and wax?

Kitchen soil is treated as kitchen soil. Grease, red wine, oil and candle wax each need a different combination of temperature, dwell time and chemistry, and no single programme gets all four out.

  • Items are sorted before washing, not after. A tablecloth and an oven cloth never share a load — that is how cloths come back grey.
  • Marked items are pulled at the check stage and re-treated before they go back out. Most recover.
  • Wax is lifted before wash, not melted through the fabric by a hot cycle, which is what sets it permanently.
Do you do chef whites as well as table linen?

Same round, same invoice. Chef jackets, aprons, trousers, oven cloths and kitchen cloths are collected with the table linen — no second supplier, no second delivery day.

  • Whites come back on hangers, sized and named where you want them named.
  • Cloths are bagged by type — glass, oven, waiter — so nothing needs sorting at the pass.
  • Sizes are held in stock, so a new starter on Monday is not waiting a week for a jacket that fits.
We run more than one site — can they share an account?

One account manager, one invoice. Multi-site operators are the norm rather than the exception, and the round does not change — only the drop list does.

  • Each site keeps its own par level. A 30-cover bistro and a 200-cover brasserie should not carry the same stock.
  • Consolidated billing with a per-site breakdown, so head office sees one number and each kitchen still sees its own.
When do you collect — will it clash with service?

Outside service, both ways. Your slot is agreed before the account opens and does not move week to week — it is a fixed place on a round, not a two-hour window that lands mid-lunch.

  • Deliveries land before the doors open, so the team lays up with what arrived that morning.
  • If a run is disrupted, the recovery is a second trip that day rather than a note on next week's schedule.
We are quiet midweek and full at weekends — does that work?

Par is set to your busiest service, not your average one. A stock level built around a Tuesday fails on a Saturday, which is the night it matters.

  • We count a real week — covers midweek, covers at the weekend, and how many cloths a turn actually costs you.
  • Reviewed after a full month of live usage and adjusted, with no renegotiation and no change fee.
Do we have to hire, or can you wash our own?

Either, and mixed accounts are normal. Hire from us, or we launder stock you already own — the round collects both the same way and on the same docket.

  • Owned stock stays yours. Nothing is bought back or written off to make a contract look tidier.
  • Hire covers replacement — wear, loss and staining are ours to carry rather than a quarterly line on your invoice.
Is there a minimum order?

No minimum order and no tie-in. If your area is already on a round, a small account costs us a stop rather than a journey — which is why some suppliers quote a minimum and we do not.

  • Cafés and bars sit alongside restaurants on the same run, priced on what they actually use.
  • No volume threshold to keep the price you were quoted, and growing later is a par-level change rather than a renegotiation.

Something specific to your kitchen?

The greenest wash is the one you do not repeat

Most of the environmental cost of restaurant linen is rewashing and early replacement, not the wash itself — a cloth retired at the first oil mark has cost more than one washed twice.

  • Fixed rounds mean shared journeys rather than a separate trip for every account.
  • Routing matters more than detergent: the miles are the largest line in the footprint.
  • Rinse water is recovered and feeds the next wash rather than the drain.
  • Oil and wine marks are re-treated before an item is retired. Most recover.
