Cafe Linen Clean Every Opening
Aprons, tea towels, glass cloths and barista cloths collected and returned on a fixed round, so the first coffee of the day is not poured with yesterday’s cloth.

What goes wrong
A cafe runs on cloths nobody wants to think about
Cafes rarely leave a supplier over price. They leave after a run of mornings that started badly — a delivery that came after opening, aprons that came back grey, or a box that arrived short on the one day the second machine was on.
-
Deliveries that land after opening
A cafe opens earlier than almost anything else on the street. A drop timed for mid-morning is a drop that missed the shift it was for.
-
Cloths that come back grey
Coffee, milk and syrup are not the same soil as food service. Washed on a general cycle, whites go dull in weeks and the counter shows it.
-
Running short on the busy day
Par counts set on a quiet Tuesday leave you short on Saturday. Most cafes are not short of linen overall — they are short of it twice a week.
How it works
Four steps from first call to first collection
Most of the work happens before the first collection. Get the count and the timing right and the service stops being something you manage.
-
The count
We look at a real week: covers on a Saturday, how many aprons a shift actually gets through, and what is still in the wash when you open.
Half an hour, on site
-
The round
Your area already has a collection day. We fit you to it and agree a time that lands before opening rather than during it.
Fixed days, agreed
-
The switch
Stock arrives before the old supplier is stood down, so there is never a morning with nothing clean on the shelf.
No gap in service
-
The account
A named account manager who knows your site — not a ticket number and a call centre.
One name, not a queue
Running more than one site? The same account manager covers all of them, on staggered days so no site is left short.
How it is processed
Your cloths are not subcontracted
There are two buildings between your linen and ours, and we own both: a production plant in Wembley and our Harrow site. Nothing is passed to a third party in between.
Cafe soil is its own problem. Coffee oil, milk protein and syrup need a different wash to food-service linen, so aprons and cloths run on their own classification rather than whatever the machine was doing before.

Switching supplier without missing an opening
Most cafes stay with a supplier they have stopped rating, because changing one feels like a risk on the one morning you cannot afford it. It is not.
- Before you commit
We count a real week, not an average one
Half an hour on site: what goes out on a Saturday, what is still in the wash on Monday, and where you run short.
- The handover
Stock lands before the old supplier stops
You are never between suppliers. The new stock is on the shelf before the last collection of the old contract.
- After
Par counts adjust once we have seen a month
First counts are an estimate. After four weeks we set them against what you actually used.
Nothing here needs you to be out of contract first — the count and the quote cost nothing.
The week you switch is the week nobody notices.
What London businesses actually say
-
Table presentation is everything in Mayfair. They handle our heavy cotton damask tablecloths and chef whites with real precision — stains vanish and the starch finish is always spot on. The daily collection has never let us down.
Mateo Rossi Restaurant General Manager · Fine dining restaurant -
Running a busy dining room alongside eight letting rooms needs a versatile laundry partner. Kitchen aprons, table runners and bed sheets all go in one collection, and the seven-day pickup schedule flexes around us.
Liam Gallagher Operations & Pub Manager · Gastro pub with rooms -
Whether we are catering a wedding or a corporate launch, linen presentation has to be immaculate. We get crisp, vacuum-sealed table linens and pristine chef jackets every time — a genuine operational ally.
Julian Bennett Executive Director of Operations · Catering & event production -
Our membership expects discretion and immaculate standards. Dining room linens and guest suites are laundered to a bespoke standard, and the discretion around our account has been absolute.
Alistair Finch Club Secretary & General Manager · Private members' club -
LP Laundry has been an absolute game-changer for our 45-room boutique hotel. Turnaround on our bed linens and heavy plush towels is inside 24 hours without a single delay. We could not be happier with the crisp, immaculate finish.
Charlotte Vance Front of House & Accommodation Manager · 45-room boutique hotel -
Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa -
Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio -
In clinical and aesthetic practice, hygiene standards have to meet rigorous compliance. High-temperature sanitised gowns, drapes and bed covers arrive reliably every week. I trust their quality control completely.

Cafe laundry — the questions we get most
Do you cover my area?
We run fixed rounds across London and the Home Counties — 1,034 areas in all, up to roughly 100 miles from our plants.
- Your area already has a collection day. We fit you to the round that already passes rather than adding a separate journey, which is why a small cafe costs the same to serve as a large one.
- Every area has its own page with that area's collection days, the distance from our plant and the venues already on that round.
- Outside the ring? Tell us where — if a round already passes near you it is usually still workable.
Can you deliver before we open?
Yes — that is the point of putting you on your area round rather than a separate trip. Cafes open earlier than almost anything else we serve.
- The time is agreed when the account opens, not left to whenever the van reaches you.
- A drop timed for mid-morning is a drop that missed the shift it was for — so we schedule against your opening time, not ours.
- If a drop is missed it is recovered on the next round rather than the next week.
Why do our whites go grey with other suppliers?
Because coffee oil, milk protein and syrup are not the same soil as food-service linen. Washed on a general cycle they build up, and whites dull within weeks.
- Cafe cloths and aprons run on their own classification here, rather than whatever the machine was doing before.
- Milk protein needs the right temperature, not just a hotter one — too hot sets it into the fibre.
- Grey whites are usually a wash problem, not an age problem. If stock is being replaced every few months, the cycle is wrong.
Are we tied into a long contract?
No long-term tie-in and no exit fee.
- Terms flex with seasonal demand rather than locking you into a winter volume you do not use in August.
- Nothing here needs you to be out of your current contract first — the count and the quote cost nothing and commit you to nothing.
- Stock arrives before the old supplier is stood down, so there is never a morning with nothing clean on the shelf.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum, on any line. A single-site independent cafe is an ordinary account for us.
- Small sites go on the same round as everyone else in the area, so you are not paying for a dedicated trip.
- A dozen aprons and a bundle of tea towels is a real account, not something we turn away or surcharge.
- Volume changes are expected. Quiet January, busy July — the account flexes rather than holding you to a floor.
Do you hire aprons and cloths, or only launder ours?
Both, and mixed accounts are normal. One collection covers whichever way each line is set up.
- Hire means we own the stock, replace it when it wears out and keep the par count topped up.
- Wash-only means your own branded aprons and tea towels come back to you, same items, not pooled.
- Plenty of cafes do both — hired glass cloths and tea towels, own-branded aprons on wash-only.
What happens if we run short on a busy weekend?
Tell your account manager and it is recovered on the next round rather than the next week.
- If it happens twice, the par count is wrong. We reset it against what you actually used, not what was estimated at setup.
- Most cafes are not short of linen overall — they are short of it on two predictable days, which is a counting problem rather than a volume one.
- Seasonal swings are planned in rather than handled as emergencies.
We serve food as well as coffee — is that a different account?
No. Kitchen cloths and table linen go on the same collection and the same invoice.
- No second supplier and no second delivery day just because the menu grew.
- Chef whites, oven cloths and table linen are all available on the same account, hire or wash-only.
- If the kitchen is the bigger half, our restaurant laundry page covers how we price on covers.
Something specific to your cafe?
Ask us directlyThe greenest wash is the one you do not repeat
Most of the environmental cost of cafe linen is rewashing and replacing it. Getting the classification right the first time does more than any claim on a van.
- Fixed rounds mean shared journeys rather than a separate trip per site.
- Cafe cloths washed on their own classification last longer before replacement.
- Hire stock is repaired and rotated rather than binned at the first mark.
