What goes wrong
An empty rack at six is the Hainault complaint you hear about
Almost nobody around IG6 changes towel supplier to save money. They change because the same thing went wrong three weeks running.
-
Running out at the evening peak
Towel demand stacks into roughly two hours rather than spreading across opening. A par count set on a daily average leaves the Hainault rack empty exactly when the floor is busiest.
-
Towels that come back smelling
Sweat and body oil build up in the fibre and a general wash does not shift them. The towel smells clean cold, then smells again once it is warm and damp — which a member notices before you do.
-
Stock that never quite balances
Towels walk. Every Hainault club loses some, and an account that does not plan for shrinkage turns into a monthly argument about counts.
How it works
Four steps to a Hainault club on the round
Most of the work happens before the first collection. Get the peak-hour count right and the towel rack stops being something the duty manager thinks about.
-
The count
We count against your peak rather than your average — a Monday evening and a Sunday morning in Hainault are different businesses, and the par level has to survive both.
An hour, at peak
-
The round
The van is already in IG6. Joining that round is what keeps a single studio priced as a stop rather than a journey.

The switch
You are never between suppliers, and no evening is covered by rationing towels.
No gap in service
-
The account
One name, who has seen your floor at peak. Changes get made on a call rather than logged as a ticket.
One name, not a queue
Running more than one club around Redbridge? The same account manager covers all of them, on staggered days so no site is left short.
How it is processed
Your Hainault stock, washed by us and nobody else
There are two buildings between your towels and ours, and we own both. Hainault collections run 16.5 miles to our Wembley plant. Nothing is passed to a third party in between.
Gym towelling is its own classification. Sweat and body oil need a different wash to bed linen or table linen — get it wrong and the towel smells clean until it warms up.

Changing supplier is not the January risk Hainault clubs think
Most Hainault clubs stay with a supplier they have stopped rating, because changing one feels like a risk in the week membership is highest. It is not.
- Before you commit
We count your peak, not your average
We count the Hainault floor between five and seven rather than take a number off your last invoice — the invoice records what you were sold, not what the rack needed.
- The handover
Stock lands before the old supplier stops
The two contracts overlap on purpose, so no Hainault evening is covered by rationing what is left on the rack.
- After
Par counts adjust once we have seen a month
First counts are an estimate. After four weeks we set them against what you actually used, including what walked out of the door.
Nothing here needs you to be out of contract first — the count and the quote cost nothing.
The week you switch is the week nobody notices.

Whether we are catering a wedding or a corporate launch, linen presentation has to be immaculate. We get crisp, vacuum-sealed table linens and pristine chef jackets every time — a genuine operational ally.
Julian Bennett Executive Director of Operations · Catering & event production -
Our membership expects discretion and immaculate standards. Dining room linens and guest suites are laundered to a bespoke standard, and the discretion around our account has been absolute.
Alistair Finch Club Secretary & General Manager · Private members' club -
Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa -
Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio -
We rely on clean bolster covers, fleece blankets and eye pillows. Delicate fabrics are treated with care while still getting a deep, hypoallergenic sanitisation, and everything comes back beautifully presented.
Hannah Sterling Studio Coordinator · Yoga & pilates studio -
LP Laundry has been an absolute game-changer for our 45-room boutique hotel. Turnaround on our bed linens and heavy plush towels is inside 24 hours without a single delay. We could not be happier with the crisp, immaculate finish.
Charlotte Vance Front of House & Accommodation Manager · 45-room boutique hotel -
For high-end short-stay apartments, guest reviews live and die by linen quality. We get hotel-grade crispness that consistently earns us five-star cleanliness ratings, and the communication lines are short when something needs resolving.
Beatrice Dupont Head of Housekeeping · Luxury serviced apartments -
Table presentation is everything in Mayfair. They handle our heavy cotton damask tablecloths and chef whites with real precision — stains vanish and the starch finish is always spot on. The daily collection has never let us down.

Gym & spa towels in Hainault — what operators ask
Can you reach Hainault 7 days?
Yes — Hainault sits on the IG6 round, 7 days, 16.5 miles from our Wembley plant.
- Shared with Fullwell Cross, Clayhall and Aldborough Hatch — one van, one run, which is what keeps a single studio sensible to price.
- The driver knows the streets around Fairlop, Grange Hill and Hainault — which matters when the drop has to land before the evening rush.
- A missed window here is picked up on the next round rather than the next week, because Hainault is only 16.5 miles out.
- 11 clubs and spas around IG6 are already on this round — so the vehicle is sized for towel volume rather than adapted to it.
Is there a price list for towel hire?
Priced on your peak and your member numbers, not off a rate card. Towel volume depends on member numbers and how hard the floor turns over, so a published list would be wrong for most clubs.
- We count a real week in Hainault before quoting — rather than pricing off your last invoice.
- The count includes January — a Hainault club quoted off an August week runs short in the month that matters.
- No minimum order — so a boutique studio is an ordinary account and is priced per item like any other.
- The count and the quote cost nothing — and commit you to nothing.
How is the par count set for a Hainault club?
We count at peak, because that is the only hour the count has to survive. Every other hour looks fine on any count, which is why averages keep passing and racks keep emptying.
- We count on site at the time it matters — not from a figure on your last invoice.
- A Monday evening and a Sunday morning are different businesses — the par level has to survive both, so it is set against the worse of the two.
- January is planned in — the one spike everyone knows is coming is the one worth building into the count.
- If you run short twice, the count is wrong — we reset it against real usage rather than the opening estimate.
What is the difference between hire and wash-only in IG6?
Both, and mixed accounts are normal. Plenty of Hainault clubs run half and half.
- Hire — the rack is maintained for you, including the towels that fail first.
- Wash-only — item for item, never substituted.
- Most clubs split it — hired gym towels where nobody reads a label, own-branded robes in the spa where the branding is the point.
- You can move a line between the two later — clubs often start on hire and move the spa side across once branding is settled.
Can wet-area mats go on the same collection?
Yes — a gym floor and a spa want opposite things from a towel. A gym floor wants volume and absorbency; a spa wants handle and appearance.
- Robes are laundered to keep their handle — a robe that feels like a gym towel has been washed like one.
- Bath mats run on a heavier classification — and they are counted separately for the same reason.
- One collection, one invoice — the split is in the classification, not in the account.
- Hotel spas are a normal account — and the hotel laundry page covers how the rooms side is priced.
Are we tied into a long contract?
No long-term tie-in and no exit fee. The account should hold because it works, not because leaving is expensive.
- Terms flex with seasonal demand — rather than holding you to a January volume through a quiet August.
- Nothing needs you to be out of your current contract first — there is no cost to finding out.
- Stock arrives before the old supplier is stood down — you are never between suppliers.
- If it is not working, say so — most problems are a wrong par count or a wrong delivery window, and both are fixable without changing supplier.
Why do towels smell clean but go damp-smelling later?
It is oil left in the fibre, not the towel being old. Cold it is fine; warm and damp it is not, and that is after it has reached a member.
- Gym towelling runs on its own classification — the programme is chosen for body oil rather than inherited from whatever ran before.
- Oil needs a different temperature from sweat — and softener makes it worse by coating the fibre, which is why we do not use it on gym stock.
- Towels that stop absorbing are usually over-softened, not worn out — which means you are replacing stock that had life left in it.
- Every load is temperature logged — which matters if you are ever asked to show how stock is handled.
How do you handle shrinkage?
Shrinkage is normal and predictable. We plan for it rather than dispute it.
- Expected loss is built into the par count at setup — rather than discovered in month three.
- You get the actual numbers each cycle — in and out, per collection, so the figure is checkable.
- A sudden jump in loss is worth knowing about — a step change in shrinkage is information, not an invoice line.
- On hire, fair wear is our cost — not a charge back to you.
Something specific to your Hainault club?
Ask us directlyRewashing Hainault linen is the real environmental cost
Most of the environmental cost of gym towelling is rewashing and replacing it. Getting the classification right the first time does more than any claim on a van.
- Hainault is a stop on a round that was already running, not a van dispatched for one club.
- Most towels retired early are over-softened rather than worn out.
- A greying towel moves to the back of the rotation rather than into a skip.
