What goes wrong
You cannot see a failed garment
A protective garment that has lost its performance looks exactly like one that has not. That is why the process matters more here than anywhere else we launder.

The wrong wash strips the garment
Aggressive detergents and excessive heat degrade protective treatments and weaken fibres. The garment survives the wash looking fine; what it was bought for does not.

Cross-contamination between loads
PPE carrying chemical or industrial residue batched with other garments spreads that residue. Protective clothing runs on its own loads for the same reason food and healthcare linen do.

Nobody inspects it
A punctured glove or a failed seam is a garment still in service and no longer protecting anyone. Inspection on return is the only point where that gets caught.

We will tell you what we can evidence
PPE laundering is a regulated area and the honest position is this: we run protective garments on dedicated, segregated loads at controlled temperatures, and we inspect every garment on return. What we do not do is claim a certification we cannot produce.
If your auditor requires specific documentation — validated wash records, traceability, conformance to a named standard — tell us before you sign so we can scope it properly or tell you we are not the right supplier. That conversation is cheaper before a contract than after an audit.

Why it is not cheaper to buy new
The argument for laundering PPE rather than replacing it — and where that argument stops.

Technical garments are expensive
Replacing FR clothing and cut-resistant gloves on a fixed cycle costs far more than laundering them, provided the laundering does not damage them.

Correct washing extends service life
The right programme and detergent remove contamination without stripping the garment, so it reaches its designed service life instead of failing early.

But there is an end point
Every protective garment has one, and no laundry process resets it. We flag garments at that point rather than returning them.
We would rather lose the item from the contract than return PPE we would not wear ourselves.

Can you launder flame-retardant clothing?
Yes — on dedicated, segregated loads at controlled temperatures, with detergents chosen for the fabric.
FR garments never run in the general workwear programme. Tell us the fabric when you enquire; it changes the process.
What happens if a garment has failed?
It is flagged to you and held back, not folded into the delivery.
The decision to withdraw a garment is yours — but you cannot make it if nobody tells you.
How is PPE laundry priced?
Per contract — garment type, headcount and how often the cycle runs.
There is no published per-item rate, because the spread between an FR coverall and a pair of cut-resistant gloves is too wide for a list to be honest.
How often should PPE be laundered?
That is your policy's call, driven by the contaminant — not ours.
Any supplier proposing a standard frequency before asking what the garments are exposed to is selling a package, not a service.
Are you certified for PPE laundering?
The honest answer: we run protective garments on dedicated segregated loads at controlled temperatures and inspect every garment on return. We do not claim a certification we cannot produce on request.

Can you handle gloves as well as clothing?
Yes. Cut-resistant and chemical-resistant gloves are laundered and then inspected for punctures, thinning and seam failure.
On gloves the inspection matters more than the wash: a pinhole is invisible in a pile and total in use.
Do you collect from multiple sites?
Yes — one schedule, one account manager, one invoice, however many sites.
Collections run in the 06:00–01:00 window Monday to Saturday across 1,034 areas.
