Industrial workwear

Workwear that comes back still doing its job

Boilersuits, hi-vis and technical garments for engineering and manufacturing sites. Washed to remove industrial soiling rather than to look clean, counted in and out, and replaced when they stop performing — not when someone complains.

What goes wrong

Industrial soiling is not ordinary dirt

Oil, grease and metal particulate do not come out on a domestic programme, and a garment that looks clean can still be carrying enough oil to matter.

  • Oil left in the cloth

Residual oil and grease in a garment is a hazard around heat and a reason technical fabrics stop performing. Removing it takes a programme built for it, not a hotter domestic wash.

  • Stock disappears

Workwear that is not counted in and out goes missing steadily rather than dramatically — a few garments a month until someone notices the reorder bill.

  • Nothing fits anybody

Pooled workwear washed and returned as a heap means people wear what fits rather than what was issued. Named and sized garments come back to the same person.

How it runs

Five steps, and two of them are counting

The same sequence whether we own the garments or you do.

On rental We replace it Worn-out stock is our cost, not yours
  1. Survey

We look at what you hold, what it is used for and how often it changes. That sets the wash programme and the stock level, not a standard package.

    Before anything moves

  2. Collection and count in

Collected on our own van and counted at the plant against what left. Discrepancies are reported the same day, not at month end.

    On the round

  3. Programme wash

Oil and grease loads run separately from general workwear, on a programme built to remove industrial soiling rather than to whiten.

    Matched to the soiling

  4. Inspect and repair

Checked for damage, seam failure and wear. Repairable garments are repaired; garments past it are pulled and replaced on rental.

    Before it goes back

  5. Count out and deliver

Returned to the person and the site they came from, on the same round.

    Named and sized

Priced per contract on headcount, change frequency and garment type. There is no published per-item rate for this service.

Standards

One plant, ours, and you can walk it

Workwear runs at our own Wembley site, on the same floor as the commercial linen and under the same checks. Nothing is sub-contracted, which is why the count-in and count-out figures are ours to produce rather than someone else's to promise.

If compliance documentation matters to your site, tell us what your auditor asks for before you sign — we would rather scope it properly than claim it on a web page.

What we handle

Garment types we run regularly. If yours is not listed, ask — the question is the fabric and the soiling, not the name.

Rent or wash
Both models
Named
Per person, per site

Flame-retardant and other protective garments are handled under PPE — different programme, different checks.

Rent or wash-only

Two models, and the right one depends on who should carry the replacement cost.

  1. Rental

    We own the stock

We supply, launder, repair and replace. Fixed cost per person per week, and worn-out garments are our problem.

  2. Wash-only

    You own the stock

You buy the garments, we launder and return them. Cheaper per wash, but replacement is your cost when they wear out.

  3. Mixed

    Common in practice

Most sites rent the high-turnover items and own the rest. There is no rule that it has to be one or the other.

Both are priced per contract on headcount and change frequency.

What accounts say

  • Back-to-back conferences and galas mean huge quantities of table skirts, stage linens and catering napkins at short notice. They have never missed a deadline on any of it.
Danielle Moreau Events Logistics Manager · Corporate event venue
  • LP Laundry has been an absolute game-changer for our 45-room boutique hotel. Turnaround on our bed linens and heavy plush towels is inside 24 hours without a single delay. We could not be happier with the crisp, immaculate finish.
Charlotte Vance Front of House & Accommodation Manager · 45-room boutique hotel
  • Table presentation is everything in Mayfair. They handle our heavy cotton damask tablecloths and chef whites with real precision — stains vanish and the starch finish is always spot on. The daily collection has never let us down.
Mateo Rossi Restaurant General Manager · Fine dining restaurant
  • Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa
  • Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio
  • In clinical and aesthetic practice, hygiene standards have to meet rigorous compliance. High-temperature sanitised gowns, drapes and bed covers arrive reliably every week. I trust their quality control completely.

Liam Gallagher Operations & Pub Manager · Gastro pub with rooms
  • For high-end short-stay apartments, guest reviews live and die by linen quality. We get hotel-grade crispness that consistently earns us five-star cleanliness ratings, and the communication lines are short when something needs resolving.

Industrial workwear, answered

Do you rent workwear or only launder it?

Both.

On rental we supply, launder, repair and replace — worn-out garments are our cost. On wash-only you own the garments and we launder them, which is cheaper per wash but leaves replacement with you.

Most sites rent the high-turnover items and own the rest.

Can you remove heavy oil and grease?

Yes. Oil and grease loads run separately, on a programme built to remove industrial soiling.

Running a domestic-style wash hotter does not achieve the same thing — it sets some soiling and damages the cloth.

Do garments come back to the right person?

Yes — named and sized, returned to the individual.

Pooled workwear returned as a heap is how people end up wearing what fits rather than what was issued to them.

Do you repair damaged workwear?

Yes. Every garment is inspected before it goes back, and repairable damage is repaired rather than returned.

On rental, anything past repair is pulled and replaced at our cost. On wash-only we tell you and you decide.

How is it priced?

Per contract — on headcount, how often garments change and what they are.

Unlike dry cleaning there is no published per-item list for this, because two sites with the same headcount can differ by a factor of three on soiling alone. Send the numbers and we price it.

How do you stop garments going missing?

Counted in, counted out, logged per person and per site.

A shortfall becomes a number the same day rather than a suspicion that surfaces on a reorder bill three months later.

What about flame-retardant or protective garments?

Those belong on the PPE service: different programme, different inspection regime.

Tell us if protective garments are in scope before you sign a general workwear contract, because they should not run in the same load.

How often do you collect?

Whatever the site needs, on our own vans, inside the 06:00–01:00 window Monday to Saturday.

Most industrial sites run weekly or twice weekly. Multi-site groups get one collection schedule and one invoice.

Rental is the circular option

A garment repaired and kept in service is the one that did not have to be made.

  • Garments are inspected and repaired rather than replaced at the first seam failure.
  • Rental pools keep garments in service until they genuinely stop performing.
  • Workwear rides existing rounds — no separate vehicle for it.
  • Washing at the plant uses less water and power per garment than on-site machines.
