• Down carries natural oils that a synthetic detergent strips, and once they are gone the duvet never gets its loft back.
• Feather needs a longer, gentler dry at a lower temperature, and it needs agitating during it so the clusters separate rather than clump.
• The drum has to be big enough for the duvet to move. A packed drum is how filling ends up permanently at one end.
• Tell us which it is when you book — if you are not sure, we check before it goes anywhere near a machine.

Yes, and the topper is the item most people do not realise can be cleaned.

• Protectors, single to king, from £15.26 — this is the layer that has actually absorbed everything, so it is the one worth doing most often.
• Toppers, single to super king, from £27.00, including double-layer.
• No domestic machine takes a king topper, which is why they tend to get thrown away rather than cleaned.
• Memory foam is the exception — it cannot be wet-washed, and we will tell you that rather than take the booking.

Yes. Trade bedding is quoted per bed, not per item. Counting a twenty-bed guest house item by item would be both expensive and unmanageable.

• A rotating set means one duvet per bed is always clean, so a changeover never waits on a laundry return.
• A fixed proportion of stock cycles each month rather than everything at once, which keeps the whole estate in date without a shutdown.
• Staggered collection days across sites, and a named account manager rather than a queue.
• Care homes and hostels run the same way, on their own classifications.

Three to five days, and the drying is what takes the time. Anyone promising a bulky duvet back same-day is not drying it to the core.

• A duvet dried only on the outside smells within a fortnight and the filling clumps — that damage is not reversible by washing it again.
• Toppers take longest because they are the densest thing on the list.
• Pillows are the quickest and can come back ahead of the rest if you would rather not wait.
• Tell us if there is a deadline when you book rather than after, and we will say honestly whether it is possible.

We collect, and it is in the price. Bedding is bulky, and carrying a super king duvet to a shop is most of the reason people never do this.

• Memory foam toppers cannot be wet-washed. Nothing changes that, and anyone who says otherwise is about to ruin one.
• Anything with a split seam has to be repaired first — a seam that opens in a commercial drum empties the duvet into the machine.
• Electric blankets, for the obvious reason.
• Dry-clean-only bedspreads are fine but are quoted separately, because they do not go through the bedding process at all.
