What goes wrong
The Fingest morning goes wrong before the first coffee
Cafes in Fingest rarely leave a supplier over price. They leave after a run of mornings that started badly.
-
Deliveries that land after opening
A cafe opens earlier than almost anything else on the street. A drop timed for mid-morning is a drop that missed the shift it was for, and in Fingest that means serving the first hours on yesterday's cloths.
-
Cloths that come back grey
Coffee oil, milk protein and syrup are not the same soil as food service. Washed on a general cycle they build up, whites go dull within weeks, and the counter is where it shows.
-
Running short on the busy day
Par counts set on a quiet Tuesday leave you short on Saturday. Most Fingest cafes are not short of linen overall — they are short of it twice a week.
How it works
Four steps to a Fingest cafe on the round
Most of the work happens before the first collection. Get the count and the timing right and the service stops being something you manage.
-
The count
Half an hour on the counter in Fingest tells us more than a form: the apron change rate, the cloth turnover and the day the shelf empties.
Half an hour, on site
-
The round
The van is already in RG9. Joining that round is what keeps a single-site cafe priced as a stop rather than a journey.
RG9 · 7 days
-
The switch
You are never between suppliers. The first delivery arrives before the last collection of the old agreement.
No gap in service
-
The account
One name, who has seen your counter and knows the RG9 driver. Problems get solved on a call rather than logged.
One name, not a queue
Running more than one site around Buckinghamshire? The same account manager covers all of them, on staggered days so no site is left short.
How it is processed
No third party touches Fingest cafe linen
There are two buildings between your linen and ours, and we own both. Fingest collections run 25.5 miles to our Wembley plant. Nothing is passed to a third party in between.
Cafe soil is its own problem. Coffee oil, milk protein and syrup need a different wash to food-service linen, so aprons and cloths run on their own classification rather than whatever the machine was doing before.

Changing supplier is not the risk Fingest operators think
Most Fingest cafes stay with a supplier they have stopped rating, because changing one feels like a risk on the one morning you cannot afford it. It is not.
- Before you commit
We count a real week, not an average one
Saturday out, Monday back, and the gap in between. That gap is where every shortage on the account comes from.
- The handover
Stock lands before the old supplier stops
The two contracts overlap on purpose. Fingest gets its first delivery while the old supplier is still collecting, so there is no morning in between.
- After
Par counts adjust once we have seen a month
Any first count is a guess. The difference is whether anyone comes back and corrects it — after four weeks, we do.
Nothing here needs you to be out of contract first — the count and the quote cost nothing.
The week you switch is the week nobody notices.

Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa -
Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio -
In clinical and aesthetic practice, hygiene standards have to meet rigorous compliance. High-temperature sanitised gowns, drapes and bed covers arrive reliably every week. I trust their quality control completely.
Dr Elena Rostova Clinic Director · Private healthcare clinic -
For high-end short-stay apartments, guest reviews live and die by linen quality. We get hotel-grade crispness that consistently earns us five-star cleanliness ratings, and the communication lines are short when something needs resolving.
Beatrice Dupont Head of Housekeeping · Luxury serviced apartments -
We use dozens of salon towels and client gowns every day. Stubborn hair dye and product stains come out effortlessly and our capes still look new. They are an indispensable part of the daily flow here.
Chloe St. Laurent Salon Owner & Manager · Hair & beauty salon -
We rely on clean bolster covers, fleece blankets and eye pillows. Delicate fabrics are treated with care while still getting a deep, hypoallergenic sanitisation, and everything comes back beautifully presented.
Hannah Sterling Studio Coordinator · Yoga & pilates studio -
From velvet seat throws to staff aprons and heavy bar towels, our eclectic mix of textiles is handled without fuss. The turnaround times and the account management are what stand out.
Kieran Davies Venue & Hospitality Manager · Boutique cinema & lounge -
As a family-run Victorian B&B we need a partner who understands traditional hospitality. Our heritage cotton sheets are treated with real care, the drivers are friendly and the weekly delivery is consistent.

Cafe laundry in Fingest — what operators ask
Is Fingest on a collection round?
Yes — Fingest sits on the RG9 round, 7 days, 25.5 miles from our Wembley plant.
- Shared with Turville, Lane End and Hambleden — adding you changes the schedule, not the route.
- Collections here run to scheduled days, agreed when the account opens, because Fingest is only 25.5 miles out.
How quickly can you top us up in Fingest?
Tell your account manager and collections here run to scheduled days, agreed when the account opens.
- If it happens twice, the par count is wrong — a second shortage is a counting error, and we correct it.
- Most Fingest cafes are not short of linen overall — they are short of it on two predictable days, which is a counting problem rather than a volume one.
- Seasonal swings are planned in — Fingest in December is not Fingest in February, and the par count should know that.
Is the food side priced separately?
No. Kitchen cloths and table linen go on the same RG9 collection and the same invoice.
- No second supplier and no second delivery day — one account covers both sides of the counter.
- Chef whites, oven cloths and table linen — priced per item on the account you already have.
- If the kitchen is the bigger half — the restaurant page explains pricing by covers rather than by counter.
Is the Fingest delivery before or after opening?
Before you open, because that is how the RG9 round is ordered. Cafes open earlier than almost anything else we serve.
- The time is agreed when the account opens — it goes on the round sheet, not into a delivery window.
- A mid-morning drop missed the shift it was for. We schedule against your opening time, not ours.
- If a drop is missed, collections here run to scheduled days, agreed when the account opens.
Is there a reason our Fingest whites do not stay white?
Coffee oil, milk protein and syrup are not the same soil as food-service linen. Run on the wrong programme they accumulate rather than lift.
- Cafe cloths and aprons run on their own classification — rather than whatever the machine was doing before.
- Milk protein needs the right temperature, not just a hotter one — past a point, heat bonds the protein to the cloth.
- Grey whites are usually a wash problem, not an age problem — a Fingest cafe buying aprons three times a year is paying for a bad cycle, not for wear.
Are we tied into a long contract?
No long-term tie-in and no exit fee.
- Terms flex with seasonal demand — Fingest in February and Fingest in July are different businesses, and the account should say so.
- Nothing needs you to be out of your current contract first — there is no cost to finding out what it would look like.
- Stock arrives before the old supplier is stood down — the two overlap by design.
Is there a minimum order for a Fingest cafe?
No minimum, on any line. A single-site independent cafe in Fingest is an ordinary account for us.
- Small sites go on the same RG9 round — which is why size barely moves the per-item price.
- A dozen aprons and a bundle of tea towels is a real account — not something we surcharge.
- Volume changes are expected — we adjust rather than hold you to a winter figure.
Can we keep our own branded aprons in Fingest?
Both, and mixed accounts are normal. Plenty of Fingest accounts run half and half.
- Hire — the count is maintained for you, including the items that wear out first.
- Wash-only — your own branded aprons come back to you, the same items, not pooled.
- Plenty of cafes do both — branding matters on the apron, rarely on the tea towel behind the counter.
Something specific to your Fingest cafe?
Ask us directlyThe cheapest wash for Fingest is the second one you avoid
Most of the environmental cost of cafe linen is rewashing and replacing it. Getting the classification right the first time does more than any claim on a van.
- The RG9 round is a shared journey rather than a separate trip to Fingest.
- Cloths that keep their colour get replaced on wear, not on appearance.
- Hire stock is mended and rotated through its full life rather than discarded early.
