Industrial Wipers
Rags you throw away are a cost, not a saving
A managed supply of reusable cloths: we deliver clean, collect soiled and launder them at our own plant. Single-use rags look cheap per box and stop looking cheap once you add disposal, inconsistency and the bin they fill.

What goes wrong
Single-use rags are inconsistent by definition
A box of mixed offcut rag is a different product every time it arrives, and what it costs you is not what is on the invoice.
-
You never get the same cloth twice
Offcut rag is whatever was available. Absorbency, lint and size change box to box, so the amount your people use to do the same job changes with it.
-
Everything goes in the bin
Used once and discarded means volume in your waste stream, and where the cloths carry oil or solvent it is not ordinary waste either.
-
The real cost is not the box price
Per-box, rag is cheap. Add disposal, the extra cloths used because absorbency is poor, and the storage, and the comparison changes.
How it runs
Four steps, on a loop
The service is a circle, which is the only reason it works out cheaper.
-
Scope the work
What is being wiped — oil, solvent, ink, water — and roughly how much. That sets the cloth type and the volume; a precision microfibre and a heavy degreasing cloth are different products.
Before the first delivery
-
Deliver clean
A working stock delivered on schedule, in containers we supply, so nobody is storing boxes of rag in a corner.
On the round
-
Collect soiled
Soiled cloths leave on the same visit that brings the clean ones, in the containers provided. No separate collection to arrange.
Same visit
-
Launder and return
Washed at Wembley on programmes matched to the contaminant, inspected, and returned into the loop. Cloths past useful life are taken out.
At our plant
Priced per contract on volume and cloth type.
Standards
Contaminated cloths are a question worth asking
Industrial wipers come back carrying whatever they were used on. What we can and cannot accept depends on the contaminant, and that is a conversation to have before a contract rather than after a delivery.
Tell us what is being wiped when you enquire. Solvents, heavy oils and inks are all handleable in the right programme; some substances are not ours to take at all, and we would rather say so up front.

Where reusable actually wins
And where it does not, because it does not always.
- Volume
Steady, repeated use
If you get through cloths every day, the loop is cheaper and more consistent than buying boxes. That is the case it is built for.
- Consistency
Same cloth every time
Purpose-made cloths behave the same way each delivery, so the number used for a given job stops varying.
- Honestly
Occasional use — just buy rag
If you use a handful of cloths a month, a managed service is overkill and we will tell you so.
We would rather turn down a contract that will not save you anything.
Collected and returned on our own vans, on a fixed round.

Industrial wipers, answered
How does an industrial wiper service work?
It is a loop. We supply the cloths, deliver clean on a fixed round and collect soiled on the same visit, in containers we provide.
Soiled cloths are laundered at Wembley on a programme matched to the contaminant and returned into service.
What contaminants can you accept?
It depends entirely on the contaminant — and it is the first thing to tell us.
Solvents, heavy oils and inks are all handleable on the right programme. Some substances are not ours to take at all, and we would rather say so before a contract than after a delivery arrives.
How often do you collect?
On a fixed round agreed up front, most commonly weekly.
Clean in and soiled out happen on the same visit — there is no second collection to arrange.
What happens when cloths wear out?
They come out of the loop and are replaced, at our cost.
Cloths are inspected on every return; anything past useful life does not go back into service.
Is it cheaper than buying rags?
At steady volume, usually. Per box, rag is cheaper; the comparison changes once you add disposal and the extra cloths used because offcut absorbency is inconsistent.
At a handful of cloths a month it is not worth it, and we would rather tell you that than sell a contract.
Do you supply containers for soiled cloths?
Yes, supplied and exchanged on the same round.
Soiled industrial cloths sitting in an open bin is both a housekeeping and a safety problem; the containers are part of the service, not an extra.
How is it priced?
Per contract — volume and cloth type.
No published rate, because a low-lint precision cloth and a heavy degreasing cloth are different products used at different rates. Send rough volumes and what you are wiping.

This is the one service where the environmental case and the cost case are the same case.
- A laundered cloth returns to service instead of going to landfill after one use.
- Purpose-made cloths absorb more than offcut rag, so fewer are used for the same job.
- Cloths ride existing rounds — no dedicated vehicle.
- Cloths are taken out of the loop when they stop working, not before.
- Reused
- Laundered and returned, not binned
- Fewer used
- Purpose-made rather than offcut
- Same round
- No extra vehicle
- Wembley
- One plant, no sub-contracting
Where a claim is not measurable, it is not made.
Tell us what you are wiping
That single answer decides the cloth, the programme and whether we can take it at all.
- We supply the cloths and the containers
- Clean in and soiled out on the same visit
- We will tell you if buying rag is cheaper for you
