What goes wrong
Home laundry is four hours a week you do not get back
Most people do not send laundry out because it is hard. They send it out because of what it costs them in evenings, in radiator space, and in clothes that came out of a domestic machine worse than they went in.
-
The machine is always mid-cycle
A household load is not one job, it is five: sort, wash, dry, fold, put away. Spread across a week it eats an evening, and the drying is the part nobody has room for.
-
Duvets do not fit
A king duvet does not fit a domestic drum, and washing one in a machine too small for it is how the filling ends up bunched at one end permanently.
-
The good things get ruined at home
Wool, silk and anything tailored need a different process from a cotton wash. One hot cycle is all it takes, and it is never the cheap things it happens to.
How it works
Four steps, and three of them are ours
There is nothing to install and nothing to be home for if you would rather not be. The only part that is yours is putting it in a bag.
-
Book a slot
Pick a collection day. Weekly, fortnightly or a one-off — a single bag is a normal order and there is no minimum spend.
Online or by phone
-
Leave the bag
Left with a concierge or in a porch is fine; you do not have to be in. Separate anything for dry cleaning and we will treat it separately.
Doorstep, porch or concierge
-
We sort and wash
Everything is sorted by fabric and colour at the plant, not tipped in together. Anything tailored, woollen or delicate is pulled out before it reaches a drum.
By fabric, not by bag
-
Back folded
Returned folded, or on hangers where that is right for the garment, on the day you chose. Ironing is a line you can add or leave off.
Typically 48 hours
Sharing a flat? One round can be split across several people with separate bags and separate bills.
How it is washed
The same plants that wash for London hotels
There are two buildings between your laundry and clean clothes, and we own both: a production plant in Wembley and our Harrow site. Nothing goes to a third party, which is not true of every service that collects from doorsteps.
A commercial plant is not a bigger version of a domestic machine. It rinses more, it controls temperature per classification rather than per dial setting, and it dries at a temperature chosen for the fabric — which is why things come back soft rather than baked.

Three ways households use us
Nothing here is a contract. Pick the one that matches how often the washing actually piles up, and change it whenever that changes.
- One-off
A bag when you need one
The end of a holiday, a house move, a duvet before winter. Book a single collection, pay for that collection, nothing recurring.
- Weekly round
The same day every week
The most common arrangement. A fixed day, a bag on the step, back folded — the point is that you stop thinking about it.
- Subscription
A set volume each month
Cheaper per kilo if the volume is steady and predictable. Households with children and flatshares usually land here.
Flatshares can split one round into separate bags and separate bills.

What London households actually say

LP Laundry has been an absolute game-changer for our 45-room boutique hotel. Turnaround on our bed linens and heavy plush towels is inside 24 hours without a single delay. We could not be happier with the crisp, immaculate finish.
Charlotte Vance Front of House & Accommodation Manager · 45-room boutique hotel -
Table presentation is everything in Mayfair. They handle our heavy cotton damask tablecloths and chef whites with real precision — stains vanish and the starch finish is always spot on. The daily collection has never let us down.
Mateo Rossi Restaurant General Manager · Fine dining restaurant -
Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa -
Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio -
In clinical and aesthetic practice, hygiene standards have to meet rigorous compliance. High-temperature sanitised gowns, drapes and bed covers arrive reliably every week. I trust their quality control completely.
Dr Elena Rostova Clinic Director · Private healthcare clinic -
Running a busy dining room alongside eight letting rooms needs a versatile laundry partner. Kitchen aprons, table runners and bed sheets all go in one collection, and the seven-day pickup schedule flexes around us.
Liam Gallagher Operations & Pub Manager · Gastro pub with rooms -
For high-end short-stay apartments, guest reviews live and die by linen quality. We get hotel-grade crispness that consistently earns us five-star cleanliness ratings, and the communication lines are short when something needs resolving.
Beatrice Dupont Head of Housekeeping · Luxury serviced apartments -
We use dozens of salon towels and client gowns every day. Stubborn hair dye and product stains come out effortlessly and our capes still look new. They are an indispensable part of the daily flow here.

Home laundry — the questions we get most
What can I send, and what do I keep at home?
Almost everything a household washes — and every line below has its own page with prices.
- Wash, dry and fold — everyday washing by the bag, sorted by fabric and colour at the plant and returned folded.
- Duvets, pillows and bedding — the things a domestic drum is genuinely too small for.
- Dry cleaning and pressing — suits, dresses, wool and silk on the right process rather than a cotton wash.
- Towels, robes and bath linen — washed to come back absorbent rather than just clean.
- Bed linen, returned pressed and ready to put straight back on.
- Curtains and blinds — taken down, cleaned and rehung, measured before they are moved.
- Keep back anything with a live stain you have already treated with something, and tell us what you used, so we do not set it.
How long does it take?
48 hours as standard, and a lot of rounds run faster than that.
- Wash and fold is the quickest line and usually the one that sets the return day.
- Duvets and heavy bedding take longer to dry properly, and drying them properly is the whole job — a duvet returned slightly damp is a duvet that smells in a fortnight.
- Dry cleaning runs on its own timetable and can come back separately if you would rather not wait for it.
- Tell us if there is a deadline when you book, rather than after.
Will my clothes come back the way I sent them?
Sorted by fabric, not tipped in together — that is the difference from a domestic machine.
- Everything is sorted at the plant by fabric and colour before it goes near a drum.
- Wool, silk and anything tailored is pulled out and put on the right process rather than the convenient one.
- Drying temperature is chosen for the fabric, which is why things come back soft instead of baked and slightly smaller.
- Bag your delicates separately if you want to be certain, and label them — we would rather you did.
We share a flat — can we split one collection?
Yes, and it is one of the more common set-ups we run. A shared flat is not one household, and billing it as one is what makes people give up on a round.
- Separate bags, separate bills. Each person is billed for their own bag, so nobody is left chasing housemates for a share of one invoice.
- One collection day for the address, so the driver makes a single stop and the bags are split at the plant rather than on the doorstep.
- Someone moving out comes off the round with a phone call, and it does not disturb anyone else's arrangement or price.
- Students work the same way, and a term-time-only round that pauses over the holidays is a normal booking rather than something we have to be talked into.
- Label the bags however you like — first names are fine, and it is the labels we sort back to.
Do I have to be in for the collection?
No. Most collections happen with nobody home.
- A porch, a doorstep or a concierge is fine — tell us where when you book and that is where the driver goes.
- Flats with a door code work the same way; the code sits on the round, not with one driver, so a cover week does not become a missed week.
- You pick the day, and the same day comes back every week once a round is set up.
- Returns follow the same rule, so nothing waits on the step longer than it needs to.
What does it cost?
By the bag for everyday washing, by the item for dry cleaning, and the full list is on the household price page.
- No minimum order — a single bag is an ordinary booking, not a surcharge.
- A subscription is cheaper per kilo if the volume is steady, which for most families and flatshares it is.
- Ironing is a line you add or leave off, not something bundled into the price whether you want it or not.
- Nothing here is a contract. A one-off is a one-off.
Can you use non-bio or fragrance-free detergent?
Yes — ask for it when you book and it stays on your account.
- Non-bio and fragrance-free are both available and neither costs extra.
- Say so before the first collection, not after, because it changes which run your bag joins.
- Households with babies or eczema are the usual reason and it is a normal request — you do not need to explain it.
- It applies to every line on your account, not just the wash and fold.
How is this different from a local launderette?
Where it is washed, and what happens to it in between.
- It is washed at our own plants — Wembley and Harrow, both ours. Plenty of doorstep collection services hand the bag to a third party and never see it.
- The same plants wash for London hotels, so the equipment and the classifications are commercial rather than a row of domestic machines.
- Temperature is controlled per classification, not by whichever dial the last customer left it on.
- It is collected and returned, so the trip to the launderette and the wait there is the part you are actually buying out of.
Something specific to your household?
Ask us directlyOne round beats forty domestic washes
A commercial plant uses less water and less energy per kilo than a domestic machine, and one van doing a street does less than forty households each running their own cycle and their own tumble dryer.
- A commercial wash uses less water per kilo than a domestic machine on the same load.
- One van on a fixed round replaces the separate trips of every household on it.
- Drying at the right temperature makes clothes last longer, which is the bigger saving.

Home laundry collection, area by area
We run fixed rounds across Greater London and the Home Counties — 1,034 areas in all. These are the highest-volume school catchment areas in each region; every page carries its own collection days, plant distance and the venues we already serve there. There is no public count of households the way there is of hotels or restaurants, so these are ranked by school density — a school catchment is a family catchment, and families are the volume in household laundry. Home laundry pages are not generated per area yet, so each link opens that area page in the meantime.
