Event & Occasion Linen · London & the Home Counties
Event Linen Right The First Time, On The Date
Tablecloths, napkins, chair covers, runners and drapes for weddings, conferences, banquets, galas and private parties — delivered before the date and collected after it. An event does not get a second attempt, so the linen is checked against your table plan rather than counted into a box.

What goes wrong
An event does not get a second attempt
Every other laundry problem is recoverable on the next round. An event is one dated job with no next round, which is why the things that go wrong here are different.
-
Counts that were never checked against the plan
A headcount is not a linen list. Ninety guests on twelve rounds needs a different order from ninety on a long table, and the difference is only visible if someone reads the table plan rather than the number.
-
Delivery windows the venue will not accept
Most venues have a loading window and a setup slot, and they are rarely the same as the supplier default. A delivery that arrives outside them sits on a pavement.
-
Creases that arrive on the day
Linen folded flat for transport arrives creased at the fold. On a Tuesday that is a nuisance; on a wedding morning there is no time to press 120 cloths.
How it works
Four steps from first enquiry to collection
Almost all of the work happens before the date. Get the plan, the sizes and the venue window right and the day itself is uneventful, which is the point.
-
The plan
We work from your table layout: round or long, how many covers, whether there are overlays and what the top table needs. That is what sets the order.
Table plan, not headcount
-
The sizes
Trestle, 5ft round and 6ft round all take different cloths, and a drop that is two inches short is visible in every photograph. We size to the venue’s actual tables.
Measured to the tables
-
The delivery
We agree the loading window with the venue rather than assuming one, and deliver into the setup slot so nothing waits on a pavement.
Into the venue window
-
The collection
Collection is booked for after the event, at a time the venue accepts. Nobody is chasing linen at midnight.
After, not during
Planning several dates? A venue or planner account keeps one contact and one set of specs across all of them.
How it is processed
Event linen is finished, not just washed
There are two buildings between your linen and ours, and we own both: a production plant in Wembley and our Harrow site. Nothing is passed to a third party in between.
Event linen is pressed and hung or rolled rather than folded flat, because a crease at the fold line is the one fault that cannot be fixed on the morning. Chair covers travel on hangers for the same reason.

Three ways to work with us on an event
Planners, venues and private clients want different things from the same linen, so the account is set up to suit which of the three you are.
- Linen rental
You hire, we handle everything else
Stock, pressing, delivery and collection are ours. You approve the list against the table plan and it arrives finished.
- Your own goods
We launder and finish what the venue already owns
Plenty of venues own their linen and only need it turned round properly between dates. Same finish, no rental.
- Venue partners
A standing spec across every date in the diary
One agreed spec, one contact, and the same finish whether the booking is a wedding in June or a conference in November.
Nothing here needs a long-term agreement — a single date is a normal booking.
The date is the deadline. Everything else works backwards from it.
The five we dress most
Every kind of event, dressed the same way
The linen is the same quality whichever of these you are running. What changes is the table plan, the sizes and the delivery window — so each has its own page.
WeddingsCeremony, breakfast and evening reception — including the top, cake and registrar tables that headcount orders miss.
ConferencesSkirted trestles, stage drapes and refreshment stations, on a spec that repeats cleanly across a run of dates.
BanquetsLong tables and hotel event suites, where skirting, drapes and chair covers matter as much as the cloths.
Galas & awardsAwards nights and charity dinners, where the room is photographed and a two-inch short drop shows in every shot.
Private partiesBirthdays, christenings, anniversaries and wakes — at home, in a marquee or in a dry-hire space with no kit of its own.
Not on the list? Tell us the date and the room — the six above are simply the ones we are asked for most.
What London businesses actually say
-
Grooming generates heavy, fur-filled towels and specialist bedding that a standard machine cannot handle. Everything is collected and returned allergen-free, fluffy and sterilised. Top marks for taking on the difficult jobs.
Natasha Petrov Head Groomer & Manager · Pet grooming & daycare -
LP Laundry has been an absolute game-changer for our 45-room boutique hotel. Turnaround on our bed linens and heavy plush towels is inside 24 hours without a single delay. We could not be happier with the crisp, immaculate finish.
Charlotte Vance Front of House & Accommodation Manager · 45-room boutique hotel -
For high-end short-stay apartments, guest reviews live and die by linen quality. We get hotel-grade crispness that consistently earns us five-star cleanliness ratings, and the communication lines are short when something needs resolving.
Beatrice Dupont Head of Housekeeping · Luxury serviced apartments -
From velvet seat throws to staff aprons and heavy bar towels, our eclectic mix of textiles is handled without fuss. The turnaround times and the account management are what stand out.
Kieran Davies Venue & Hospitality Manager · Boutique cinema & lounge -
Table presentation is everything in Mayfair. They handle our heavy cotton damask tablecloths and chef whites with real precision — stains vanish and the starch finish is always spot on. The daily collection has never let us down.
Mateo Rossi Restaurant General Manager · Fine dining restaurant -
Running a high-end spa means going through hundreds of bathrobes and spa towels daily. Our rotation stays fully stocked with exceptionally soft, hygienically pristine textiles. Guest comfort has noticeably improved since we switched.
Siobhan O'Connor Spa Operations Director · Luxury health club & spa -
Our members expect fresh sweat towels immediately after back-to-back spinning classes. They handle our daily volume seamlessly, and I would single out the punctuality and the clean, long-lasting scent of the eco-friendly detergents.
Marcus Thorne Studio Manager · Boutique fitness studio -
In clinical and aesthetic practice, hygiene standards have to meet rigorous compliance. High-temperature sanitised gowns, drapes and bed covers arrive reliably every week. I trust their quality control completely.

Event linen — the questions we get most
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as the date and the table plan are settled — but late bookings are normal and usually workable. The constraint is rarely stock; it is the venue's loading window and, for large colour matches, the sash and cover availability.
- Peak Saturdays in summer go first, so a June wedding booked in January has more colour choice than one booked in May.
- A change of numbers is easy; a change of colour close to the date is not. Fixing the palette early is what protects the rest.
- We will tell you honestly if a date is tight rather than take the booking and hope.
Do you work from a headcount or a table plan?
The table plan, always. A headcount is not a linen list. Ninety guests on twelve rounds needs a different order from ninety on long tables, and the difference is only visible if someone reads the layout.
- Round or long changes the cloth size and the drop, and a drop two inches short shows in every photograph.
- Top tables, cake tables and registrar tables are usually different sizes from the rest and get missed on headcount orders.
- Overlays and runners are counted against the plan, not estimated as a percentage.
- Send the plan and we will build the list — you approve it rather than assemble it.
Can you deliver into our venue's loading window?
Yes, and we agree it with the venue rather than assuming one. Most venues have a loading window and a setup slot that are not the same as a supplier's default, and a delivery outside them sits on a pavement.
- We contact the venue directly if you would rather not — the access conversation is one we have every week.
- Collection is booked for after the event, at a time the venue accepts. Nobody is chasing linen at midnight.
- Marquees and dry-hire spaces work the same way, with the window agreed against your setup schedule instead.
Do you hire, or can you launder linen we already own?
Both — and there is a third option for venues.
- Linen rental: stock, pressing, delivery and collection are ours. You approve the list and it arrives finished.
- Your own goods: plenty of venues own their linen and only need it turned round properly between dates. Same finish, no rental.
- Venue partner: one agreed spec and one contact across every date in the diary, whether it is a June wedding or a November conference.
- Mixed is fine — own cloths, hired chair covers is a common arrangement.
Do you cover venues outside central London?
Yes — we deliver across 1,034 areas of London and the Home Counties, up to roughly 100 miles from our plants, taking in around 6,200 hotels, event venues and attractions.
- Country venues and marquee sites are normal work, not an exception.
- Distance affects the delivery schedule, not the finish — a Surrey barn gets the same pressed linen as a Mayfair ballroom.
- Tell us the venue and we will confirm the window before you commit to anything.
What kinds of events do you cover?
Weddings, conferences, banquets, galas, private parties and celebrations of every size — from a christening lunch for thirty to a livery hall dinner for six hundred.
- Weddings are the largest share of what we dress: ceremony, breakfast and evening reception, including top, cake and registrar tables.
- Corporate — conferences, awards nights, AGMs and company dinners, where the same spec usually repeats across several dates in a year.
- Banquets and galas in hotel event suites and livery halls, where skirting, drapes and chair covers matter as much as the cloths.
- Private parties and celebrations — anniversaries, birthdays, christenings and wakes, at home, in a marquee or in a dry-hire space.
- Marquee and outdoor events work the same way, with the delivery window agreed against your setup schedule rather than a venue's loading bay.
What sizes and colours can we actually get?
Round cloths in 90", 108", 120" and 132", trestle sizes, napkins at 20"x20", runners at 14"x108", skirting to 14ft and drapes from 8ft to 12ft.
- Over 50 sash colours, with the full chart available on request rather than a short list on a page.
- Chair covers in spandex modern fit or a classic cut, in satin and other finishes.
- Napkins flat-packed or pre-folded to a requested style — pre-folding needs asking for, it is not automatic.
- Colour matching across cloths, napkins and sashes is set once and held for the date, so nothing arrives a shade off.
Will the linen arrive creased?
No — event linen is pressed and hung or rolled rather than folded flat. A crease at the fold line is the one fault that cannot be fixed on the morning, and there is no time to press 120 cloths before a ceremony.
- Chair covers travel on hangers for the same reason.
- Everything is checked against the table plan before it leaves the plant, not counted into a box.
- Anything that fails the check is replaced before dispatch rather than sent with an apology.
What happens if numbers change close to the date?
Numbers moving is expected and is easy to absorb; colour changes close to the date are the hard ones.
- Tell us as soon as you know rather than on the morning — an extra round table is straightforward with notice.
- We carry contingency on standard colours, so small increases rarely need a new order.
- A reduction does not become a penalty — you are not charged for tables that did not happen.
Something specific to your date?
Ask us directlyThe greenest wash is the one you do not repeat
Event linen has a particular waste problem: stock ordered for one date and never used again. Hire exists precisely so a cloth used at one wedding is used at the next.
- Hired stock is used across hundreds of dates rather than bought for one and stored.
- Ordering against the table plan means fewer cloths sent and fewer sent back unopened.
- Marked linen is repaired and returned to rotation rather than written off.
