At floor level a room looks fine. From a balcony or a stage camera, uneven drops and mismatched overlays are the first things you see.

Sponsor tables are photographed most and ordered last, which is exactly the wrong way round.

A gala runs to a stage call. Once guests are seated there is no opportunity to swap a cloth.

How it is processed
Galas & awards linen is finished, not just washed
There are two buildings between your linen and ours, and we own both: a production plant in Wembley and our Harrow site. Nothing is passed to a third party in between.
Gala linen is pressed and hung or rolled, never folded flat. From a balcony a fold line runs down the centre of every table in the frame, and it is the one fault that cannot be fixed once the room is seated.

Why does linen matter more at a gala?
Because the room is photographed, usually from above. Uneven drops and mismatched overlays are invisible at floor level and obvious in the pictures.
- Cloths are sized to the actual tables so the drop is even across the room.
- Pressed and hung or rolled, never folded flat, so there is no crease line down the centre of every table in frame.
- Sashes matched across the whole room, not per batch.
What if something is wrong on the night?
Everything is checked against the table plan before it leaves the plant, and anything failing the check is replaced before dispatch rather than sent with an apology.

The room is being filmed — does that change anything?
It raises the standard rather than changing the process. A camera on a jib sees the same faults a balcony does, for longer.

Can you handle sponsor and host tables differently?
Yes, and they are named on the plan rather than counted in with the rest. Sponsor tables are usually the most photographed in the room and the last to be specified.

- Counted against the plan, not estimated as a percentage of the room.
Do you dress the stage as well?
Yes — backdrops, staging skirts and podium dressing. On an awards night the stage is in every photograph taken all evening.

Can you turn a conference room into a gala for one evening?
Yes, and it is a common booking. A closing gala on the last night of a conference is usually the one evening that room is photographed.
