Dry cleaning in the UAEPicked up free in all seven emirates, returned on a hanger

LPlaundry collects dry cleaning anywhere in the UAE, from a flat on Al Reem Island to a villa in Ras Al Khaimah or a holiday let in Fujairah. Office suits, silk dresses, beaded abayas and the wool coat you only need abroad are checked one at a time, marks are worked on by hand, then each piece comes home finished and hung. Across most of Dubai that's within 24 hours; for the other emirates we confirm the day when you book.

Seven emirates, one list

We pick up dry cleaning from flats, villas, hotel apartments and holiday lets in all seven emirates. Both drives are free.

Abu Dhabi, the capital, sits on an island linked to the mainland by bridges, and we collect there and on the islands around it, Saadiyat and Al Reem among them. Sharjah, third in the UAE by population, is covered too, along with Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.

Over on the east coast, Fujairah looks out over the Gulf of Oman, where summer humidity is hard on silk and wool. Ras Al Khaimah, with Jebel Jais inside it, completes the seven. Dubai has its own dry cleaning page.

Across most of Dubai an order is back in 24 hours. For everywhere else we confirm the day as you book, and a pin on WhatsApp settles if your street is on the route.

Each garment has its own fixed figure, the same in every emirate, so you can total the order before you book.

Each garment carries one figure. A plain abaya is AED 18, a kandura AED 15, an everyday dress AED 45 and a 2-piece suit AED 75, whether it's collected in Ajman or Abu Dhabi.

Trim, fragile cloth and bulk push a piece up the list. A delicate abaya is AED 45, a dress in complex material AED 95 and a heavy winter overcoat AED 251.

Nothing is added for collection or delivery. Bridal gowns aren't listed, so send a photo on WhatsApp and you'll get a figure first.

Why pick LPlaundry for dry cleaning

What we protect on every garment

The pieces that reach us tend to matter. The abaya kept for Eid, the suit for an interview in Abu Dhabi, a silk dress worn once at a cousin's wedding. These are the four things we guard.

    • The cut

Tailoring and abayas are never wrung or tumbled hot, so shoulders and drape stay as the maker meant.

    • The colour

Deep black stays deep, white kanduras stay white, and bright sari dyes stay where they belong.

    • The trim

Each crystal, lace panel and line of embroidery is looked over before cleaning begins.

    • The marks

Sweat, sunscreen, oud oil and food are worked on by hand ahead of the main clean.

A bag on a bed packed with a suit, a kandura, an abaya, shirts and a dress ready for dry cleaning

    Put these in

    • Suits, blazers and silk ties
    • Embellished abayas, saris and sherwanis
    • Gowns, party dresses and jumpsuits
    • Wool coats, padded jackets and knits
    • Silk blouses and pleated skirts
Gym kit, towels, sheets, trainers and a handbag set apart from the dry cleaning bag

    Leave these out

    • Gym kit, T-shirts and anything you machine wash
    • Bed linen and bath towels
    • Footwear and handbags
    • Leather, suede and bridal gowns (ask us first)

Washing that only needs to be clean goes to wash and fold, and plain shirts you want crisp go to Clean & Press, both on the UAE home page. Linen, footwear and handbags have services of their own. One driver can take every bag on the same visit. Wash and fold, by the bag

    Before the driver comes

    1. A bag for dry cleaning and nothing else
    2. Pockets turned out, brooches and abaya pins off
    3. A line on each mark: what, where, how old
    4. Belts and sashes left with their outfit

    Sort by the label

If the label asks for dry cleaning, or a shrunk sleeve would ruin your week, it belongs here. Everyday washing travels in a different bag.

Tailoring, crepe and nida abayas, silk, georgette, beaded gowns and fine wool are the usual dry cleaning. A soak and a spin can shrink them, pull a lining short or fade a deep black, which is why their labels ask for solvent.

Jeans, T-shirts, sheets and towels don't need it. Leather, suede and bridal gowns aren't on our list, so send a message before packing those.

Ahead of the pickup, unclip brooches and abaya pins and jot down every mark along with what caused it.

Dry cleaning in the UAE: your questions

How does dry cleaning work in the UAE?

We collect it free, clean it without water, and return it hung. Dry cleaning in the UAE with LPlaundry starts with a pickup from your door in any of the seven emirates. Each garment is checked by hand, marks are treated first, and delicate cloth goes through specialist solvent instead of a wash. It's then finished with steam and brought back on a hanger, so suits, abayas and silk keep their size and colour.

    • No soak, spin or hot tumble
    • Marks treated by hand first
    • Finished, hung and covered

How much does dry cleaning cost in the UAE?

Every garment has a fixed price, starting with a 2-piece suit at AED 75. A kandura costs AED 15, a plain abaya AED 18 and an everyday dress AED 45. Beaded, fragile or very heavy pieces sit higher up the list. The same prices apply in every emirate, collection and delivery are free, and no extra fees are added to the item total.

    • Suit AED 75, kandura AED 15
    • Abaya AED 18, embellished AED 45
    • Evening gown AED 75

Do you collect dry cleaning outside Dubai?

Yes, we collect in all seven emirates, and both trips are free. That means Abu Dhabi and its islands, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, as well as Dubai. Send your location pin on WhatsApp when you book and we'll confirm a pickup time and the day your order comes back to you.

    • All seven emirates
    • Free collection and return
    • Pin us to confirm

How long does dry cleaning take in each emirate?

Across most of Dubai, a standard order is back within 24 hours. In Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, we confirm the return day when you book, so you know it before anything is collected. Fragile pieces such as beaded gowns can take longer. A 5-hour express runs where your location is covered; ask on WhatsApp first.

    • Most of Dubai: 24 hours
    • Other emirates: day set at booking
    • Express: 5 hours where covered

Can you dry clean an abaya with stones or lace?

Yes, embellished abayas go on our delicate line at AED 45. Crystals, beadwork, lace panels and embroidery are checked one by one before cleaning, and the trim is protected while the cloth is cleaned. If a stone is already loose, mention it in your booking so it's noted on the ticket before anyone starts work on the abaya.

    • Delicate abaya: AED 45
    • Plain abaya: AED 18
    • Loose stones noted at booking

Is dry cleaning the same as Clean & Press?

No: dry cleaning uses solvent for clothes that can't take water. Clean & Press, a section on our UAE home page, is for washable clothes such as cotton office shirts and plain kanduras that you want back crisp on a hanger. Send silk, wool, tailoring, beaded pieces and anything labelled dry clean in this bag. If shirts are already clean, our pressing service only finishes them.

    • Dry cleaning: solvent, delicate cloth
    • Clean & Press: washable, crisp
    • Pressing: already-clean clothes

Can I send dry cleaning from a hotel or holiday let?

Yes, we collect from hotel apartments and holiday lets as well as homes. Give us the building name, room or unit number and a pickup time, and check that reception will accept a bag for you. If you host a holiday let, the guest sheets and towels go through our Airbnb laundry service, while your own suits and dresses come here.

    • Hotel apartments and lets
    • Room or unit number needed
    • Guest linen: Airbnb laundry

Is there a minimum order for dry cleaning?

Yes, the minimum order is AED 50. Every garment's price counts towards it. If your dry cleaning comes in under that, we still collect it for a small fee.

    • Minimum order: AED 50
    • Item prices add up towards it
    • Under it? A small fee applies

Should I dry clean winter coats before I store them?

Yes, clean wool coats before they go away for the summer. Food, sweat and body oil left on wool are what moths look for, and stains set harder with time in the heat. Coats come back to you hung and covered. Take the cover off once they're in the wardrobe so the cloth can breathe through the humid months.

    • Coat AED 66, overcoat AED 76
    • Clean before storing
    • Uncover for long storage

Will dry cleaning shift sweat, sunscreen and oud oil?

Most of these marks come out if they're treated early. Every item is checked and stains are worked on by hand before the main clean. Summer in the UAE regularly runs above 40 °C, and sweat and oil set into fabric fast in that heat, so send things soon and tell us anything you've already tried at home.

    Beyond dry cleaning

The driver taking your suits and gowns can take the rest of the house's bags on the same trip.

Give each service its own bag. The dry cleaning stays together, and the week's washing, a few shirts for pressing or a pair of trainers travel apart, so nothing ends up in the wrong process.

A single WhatsApp covers every bag and one driver picks them all up. Each comes back once its own service is finished.

    • One bag per service
    • Picked up together
    • Returned as each is done
