Ironing service in the UAEPressing only, for clothes you've washed yourself

LPlaundry's ironing service in the UAE is for washing that's done but creased. Our drivers collect shirts, kanduras, abayas and work trousers in all seven emirates, from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah up to Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Every piece is steam pressed by hand and comes home on a hanger, within 24 hours across most of Dubai; elsewhere we confirm the return day when you book. You pay per piece, and never for a wash.

Where we collect pressing

LPlaundry collects pressing from flats, villas, hotel stays and holiday lets right across the UAE, and the pickup and return are free.

Our drivers work Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. That means towers in Dubai Marina and villas on Yas Island, and it includes hotel rooms and short-let flats as well as homes.

Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah have weekly collection days. The pressing price list is the same in every emirate, and the trip costs nothing.

Further out, say Al Ain or Khor Fakkan? Send your location pin on WhatsApp and we'll check before anything is booked.

    Priced per garment

You pay for each garment pressed. No washing is added to the bill, and the pickup and drop-off are free.

Nothing is weighed; we count the pieces. A shirt is AED 11, a kandura AED 12, a plain abaya AED 15 and trousers or jeans AED 17, and those figures hold in every emirate.

Because there's no cleaning in it, pressing costs less than Clean & Press, where the same shirt is AED 18. Gowns, suits, delicate abayas and saris each have their own line on the full list.

Pickup and delivery are free on top of that.

    Pressing that respects the cloth

The aim is simple: lose the creases, keep the fabric exactly as it was. These are the habits behind that.

    • Setting from the tag

Heat and steam follow the care label and never go above it.

    • Lines held

Jackets and dresses are pressed over shaped forms so seams and shoulders stay true.

    • Looked over by hand

Someone checks each piece before it is hung and covered.

    • Hung while warm

Board, hanger, cover, in that order, so the finish survives the drive back.

    Fine to send

    • Washed shirts, blouses and tees
    • Work trousers, denim, skirts and shorts
    • Kanduras, abayas, ghutras and saris
    • Day dresses, gowns and jumpsuits
    • Suits, blazers and coats that are already clean
Worn clothes and a knit jumper kept on a chair, apart from the bag of clean shirts

    Keep these back

    • Clothes worn since their last wash
    • Anything with sweat lines or sunscreen on it
    • 'Dry clean only' pieces that need a clean
    • Knits you'd rather weren't steamed

Pressing doesn't clean anything, and heat can fix a mark for good. Worn or marked pieces go on Clean & Press, where they're cleaned before they're ironed. See Clean & Press

    Getting the bag ready

    1. Only clean, fully dry clothes
    2. Fold them loosely; creases are what we're for
    3. Pockets emptied, collar bones out
    4. Write down any crease you do or don't want

    Clean enough to press?

Washed and not worn since? Then it's fine to press. Anything that still needs a clean travels separately.

Pressing is for washed clothes only. Shirts, trousers, kanduras, abayas and dresses are all welcome, provided nobody has worn them since they came out of the machine.

An iron cleans nothing. It actually bakes a sweat line or a streak of sunscreen into the fibres, often for good. A worn kandura or a marked suit belongs on Clean & Press, in a separate bag on the same pickup.

Check everything is bone dry as well. Clothes bagged damp in coastal humidity, from Abu Dhabi to Khor Fakkan, start to smell within hours.

    • Washed and unworn
    • No visible marks
    • Bone dry before bagging

    Pressing service questions, answered

What is an ironing service in the UAE?

It's pressing for clothes you've already washed yourself. LPlaundry's ironing service in the UAE collects clean, creased clothes from your door in any of the seven emirates, steam presses each piece at the heat its fabric allows, and returns it on a hanger. No washing is involved, so you pay only for the pressing.

    • Pressing only, no wash
    • Clean, creased clothes
    • All seven emirates

How much does a pressing service cost in the UAE?

A pressed shirt is AED 11, and every other piece has its own price. Trousers or jeans are AED 17, a kandura AED 12 and a plain abaya AED 15. Gowns, suits and delicate abayas sit on separate lines of the UAE price list, which is the same in every emirate. Pickup and delivery are free.

    • Shirt: AED 11
    • Kandura: AED 12
    • Same list in every emirate

Do you collect ironing outside Dubai?

Yes, from all seven emirates, not only Dubai. Drivers collect pressing in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah as well. The four northern and eastern emirates have weekly collection days, so drop your location pin on WhatsApp and we'll tell you the day that fits your address.

    • Abu Dhabi and Sharjah too
    • Weekly days in the north
    • Send a pin to check

How long does pressing take outside Dubai?

We confirm the return day when you book. Across most of Dubai, pressing is back within 24 hours of pickup. In Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates the timing depends on where you are and the collection days there, so we give you the day in the booking chat rather than guess it here.

    • Most of Dubai: 24 hours
    • Elsewhere: confirmed at booking
    • Live updates either way

Is pressing the same as Clean & Press?

No: pressing irons clean clothes, Clean & Press cleans them first. If a shirt was washed at home and hasn't been worn since, pressing is the cheaper route. If it's been worn, has a mark, or is a dry clean only suit that needs a clean, send it on Clean & Press so it's cleaned before the iron touches it.

    • Pressed shirt: AED 11
    • Cleaned and pressed shirt: AED 18
    • Both returned on hangers

Can you press kanduras, abayas and saris?

Yes, and each has its own line on the pressing list. Kanduras are pressed long and straight with the placket and cuffs crisp. Abayas are steamed to hang from the shoulder without any shine, with crepe and nida on a separate delicate price. Saris get room on the board and a cool plate near silk or zari borders.

    • Kandura: AED 12
    • Abaya: AED 15
    • Delicate abaya: AED 24

Can I send ironing from a hotel or a holiday let?

Yes, pressing isn't only for people at home. If you're in a hotel on a work trip or staying in a short-let flat, send your pin and the driver collects from your door, or from reception where there is one. Holiday-let hosts can send their own clean clothes the same way; guest linen has a separate Airbnb service.

    • Hotels and short lets
    • Reception where there is one
    • Same price list

Is there a minimum order for pressing?

Yes, the minimum order is AED 50 for free collection and delivery. That covers the driver's trip whichever emirate you're in. If your pressing comes to a bit less, we still collect it for a small fee. Just mention it on WhatsApp when you book.

    • Minimum order: AED 50
    • Free pickup and return
    • Under it? Small fee

Is there an express ironing option?

Yes, a 5-hour express runs where your location is covered. It has to be booked before 2 PM, and it doesn't reach every address, so ask on WhatsApp before you rely on it. Send your pin and say what needs pressing, and we'll tell you straight away whether express works for you that day.

    • 5-hour express
    • Book before 2 PM
    • Check your area on WhatsApp

How do I book an ironing pickup in the UAE?

Message us on WhatsApp or book online; there's no app. Share your location pin, a pickup time and a rough count of pieces, and a person on our team confirms it. Support runs 24/7, so a Sunday-night message about Monday's shirts is fine.

    One visit, several bags

The driver who collects your ironing can take other bags on the same visit.

Keep the pressing bag for clean clothes. Worn shirts and marked pieces go in a Clean & Press bag, the everyday wash in a Wash & Fold bag, and footwear in its own.

List what's going out in the WhatsApp chat and the driver collects everything in one stop. Each bag comes back when its own service is finished.
