What goes in a 6kg bag
Think of the bag as the washing from a few days away. T-shirts, shorts, swimwear, gym kit, pyjamas, underwear, socks and children's play clothes all go in. Cotton, polyester and blends are fine, because everything gets the same careful wash and the same gentle dry.
If you are staying at Lapita Dubai Parks & Resorts for a long weekend, one bag is often enough for the whole family. Pack it on the last evening, write your name and room on a note, and hand it over at reception. Nothing is weighed at the door and nothing is counted. A full bag and a half-full bag cost the same.
- T-shirts, shorts, swimwear and gym kit
- Pyjamas, underwear and socks
- Children's clothes and light jackets
Good suits and special dresses are better in the clean and press tab, where each piece is priced on its own.
How your bag is sorted and washed
When the bag reaches our laundry, we open it and sort the clothes by colour and fabric. Whites and darks are washed apart, and stretchy or delicate pieces go on a cooler cycle. The care label decides the programme for each piece.
Stains on shirts and shorts get hand treatment before the machine. That helps with sunscreen, sauce and ice cream, which turn up on most holiday clothes. If you tell us what caused a stain, we can pick a better treatment.
Your bag then gets a machine to itself, so it never mixes with another customer's washing. The machines are sanitised after every cycle.
The detergent is biodegradable and hypoallergenic, so it is gentle on skin. Children's clothes and swimwear are washed the same way as everything else.
How drying and folding work
Clothes are dried on low heat, which is kinder to cotton and keeps stretch fabrics from wearing out. Anything the care label says should not go in a dryer is dried flat instead. High heat is where most shrinking and fading starts, so we avoid it.
After drying, each piece is folded by hand, not stuffed back into the bag. T-shirts, shorts, swimwear and pyjamas come back in neat stacks, ready to go straight into your suitcase.
That matters on the last morning of a stay, when you want to pack in ten minutes and head for the airport or the next hotel. A tidy stack takes up less room in the case, too.
Why not dry it at home
A hotel room is not set up for drying laundry. There is no washing line, and Dubai's balcony rules ban airing washing outside. Damp clothes in a suitcase also smell by the time you land.
Wet swimwear is the usual problem. It can take a whole night to dry in an air-conditioned room, and by morning you have another wet set from the pool.
Letting us wash and dry your bag means everything comes back dry, folded and ready to pack. It saves you an evening of hanging clothes around the bathroom.
Your pickup, step by step here
Message us on WhatsApp with your name, the hotel and a time that suits you. Say you are at Lapita Dubai Parks & Resorts, and we book the pickup and confirm the slot.
At the agreed time, bring the bag down to the lobby or the concierge desk, if the hotel allows it. The driver checks what is inside with you. Nobody asks for cash or cards in the lobby.
After the check, we text you a secure link. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the bag goes to be washed. Then it returns to the hotel, free, usually within 24 hours.
- Book on WhatsApp with your name and the hotel
- Meet the driver at reception
- Pay by the secure link we text you
Which things belong in clean and press
The bag is for everyday clothes. Some things are better in the clean and press tab, where each one is priced per piece and handled on its own.
Send suits, jackets, evening dresses, silk blouses and good shirts there, so they come back pressed on hangers. Kanduras, abayas and ghutras belong there too. Shoes and bags have their own services, which you can find in the list of other services further down.
Not sure where something belongs? Ask on WhatsApp before pickup. We will say which service gives the best result and what it will cost.
Bag sizes and monthly plans
A standard bag takes up to 6kg and is AED 65. The bigger 12kg bag is AED 120, which suits a family after a week at the parks. Monthly plans are made for people who live in Dubai, but you can ask about one if your stay is long.
The Essential plan is one bag a week, four a month, for AED 250. You get a single bill for the month.
The Family plan is two bags a week, eight a month, for AED 450. Compare either plan with paying AED 65 for each bag to see which suits your washing better.
Small habits that make it easier
Empty the pockets before you pack the bag, and take out anything you would hate to lose, like jewellery or room keys. Put wet swimwear in a small separate pouch inside the bag so that it does not dampen everything else.
Write your name and room number on a note and slip it in. That helps the driver and the team match the bag to you.
If a shirt has a stain, tell us on WhatsApp what caused it. Finally, book before 2 PM if you need clothes back sooner, and ask us about express when you do.
Clean and press per piece for hotel guests
Each shirt, dress, suit or kandura is cleaned and pressed as its own piece. A shirt costs AED 18 and a kandura AED 15. The driver collects at reception at Lapita Dubai Parks & Resorts, we check every piece by hand, and it comes back on a hanger, usually within 24 hours.

What clean and press means
Clean and press means the piece is cleaned first, then pressed by hand, and finally returned on a hanger. It is our guest dry cleaning tab, and a different job from the bag service, where clothes are tumbled together and folded.
Each piece is priced on its own, so you can see exactly what an order will cost before you book. A shirt for a meeting and a suit for a wedding are handled one at a time. Nothing is mixed into a big load.
This is the tab to use for anything you want to wear straight from the hanger.
Three checks on every piece
We look at each piece three times. First we read the care label. Then we check for marks and stains. Then we check the fabric for anything delicate, like trims, beads or loose threads.
Marks are treated by hand before cleaning, and the cleaning method follows the label. When the work is finished, every piece is looked over once more before it goes into its cover.
This is why a clean and press order takes a little care and a little time, and why it suits the clothes that matter most to you.
Work shirts, suits and dresses
Business trips and events are the most common reasons hotel guests use this tab. A shirt for tomorrow's meeting, a two-piece suit for a conference and an evening dress for a gala dinner all fit here.
Suits are cleaned and pressed as a set so jacket and trousers match. Dresses are checked for beads and lace first. Blouses and ties come back flat and fresh, and everything returns on a hanger so you can hang it in the wardrobe.
If you have a fixed time, like a flight or a dinner, tell us the day and hour when you book. Same-day hotel laundry is possible for urgent pieces booked before 2 PM, where your address is covered.
Kanduras, abayas and ghutras too
Traditional wear is cleaned and pressed with the same care. A kandura is AED 15 and a basic abaya is AED 18. Ghutras, jalabiyas and kurtas are priced too, and they are all on the price list.
Say if an abaya has beading or fine embroidery, as that changes how we handle it. Tell us the date you need each piece, and we plan around it.
Hangers, covers and the return
Your pieces return on hangers, each in a cover that lets the fabric breathe. That is the best way to carry them for the short walk from the lobby to your room, and then into the wardrobe.
Delivery is made to reception at Lapita Dubai Parks & Resorts, or to the concierge, if the hotel allows it. We message you when the driver is on the way, so you can be there to collect.
Not every piece should hang for long. Heavy knitwear is better folded, and we will tell you if that applies to something you sent. Keep the covers for the trip home, as they keep dust off your clothes in the case.
How long it takes
Most pieces are back within 24 hours. Delicate pieces take longer, because they are handled more slowly. How long depends on the piece, and we tell you at pickup.
If you need something sooner, book before 2 PM and ask for express. A 5-hour return is possible where your address is covered, and we check the hotel address first.
Send your list the evening before an event or an early flight, and ask us to confirm the time on WhatsApp.
Special requests are welcome
Tell us anything special in the chat. It might be a stain you want treated, a piece you want pressed a certain way, or a hard deadline like a morning flight.
We note every request on your order and the team follows it. If something cannot be done, we say so before pickup rather than after, so you can make another plan.
When a piece has no price
Not every garment is on the price list. If you have something unusual, send a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it costs before the driver comes.
Pieces without a care label, or ones already damaged, are cleaned at your own risk. We will say so clearly in the chat first, so the decision is yours before anything leaves the hotel.

Why guests choose LPlaundry
