Finding your area

Drivers collect bags from every part of Dubai, from Deira and Al Karama by the Creek to the towers of Business Bay, and out to Mirdif and The Springs. There's no charge either way.

The list groups Dubai into 13 zones, named the way you'd say them to a taxi driver: Downtown and Sheikh Zayed Road, the Jumeirah coast, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills and so on, 137 areas in all.

A wallet from International City costs the same and travels free, just like a handbag from Palm Jumeirah. Beyond Dubai, every emirate is covered, with weekly runs to Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Every figure is where the price starts. A larger, older or heavily marked piece may cost more, and you'll hear the number before work begins.

    What the piece is decides

Each item has a starting price based on what it is. The final number is agreed after we've seen it, and both trips are free.

Smaller leather costs least: a belt from AED 100, a purse or clutch from AED 110 and a wallet from AED 200.

A regular handbag begins at AED 325 and a briefcase at AED 325. A rucksack starts at AED 250, a large tote at AED 450 and a suitcase at AED 350.

Those are starting points. WhatsApp a photo and we'll give the figure for your own bag before anyone drives over. Pickup and return are free.

    How we keep leather alive

Good leather lasts for years with care, and a Dubai summer works against it. These are the four things we watch.

    • Shape kept upright

Padded with tissue and supported as it dries, so nothing slumps.

    • Moisture put back

Conditioner goes heaviest where sun and AC dry leather out: grips and folds.

    • Dye tested

Every product is tried on a hidden patch first so colour can't lift.

    • Metal kept dry

Clasps, chains and zips are hand polished and never soaked.

    Before the driver comes

    1. Turn out every pocket, the zipped inner one too
    2. Fill it with tissue so the shape holds
    3. Slip it into its dust cover if you have it
    4. Take off charms, scarves and long straps

    One photo, a fast answer

Nearly any leather or fabric bag can come in. A handful need a quick word before booking.

We clean, condition and coat leather and fabric bags. If a strap has broken, a zip sticks or a clasp is hanging, WhatsApp us before booking so we can tell you what we'd do with it.

Some leather has gone too far. Peeling or flaking won't look better after a clean, and anything with a battery or charger built in should stay at home. Exotic skins are welcome once we've seen a picture.

    Bag cleaning questions

What is bag care in Dubai?

It's a careful hand clean for handbags, wallets, belts and luggage. LPlaundry collects the piece from your home anywhere in Dubai, works out what it's made of and cleans it part by part with pH-balanced products. Leather is then conditioned and coated against spills, the metalwork is polished, and our driver returns it without charge.

    • Hand cleaned, part by part
    • Conditioned, then coated
    • Driver trips are free

How much does it cost to clean a designer handbag in Dubai?

It depends on the bag's size and type. The prices section above shows each starting figure: a regular handbag, designer or not, starts from the same line, while totes, clutches and wallets each have their own. We confirm the exact amount after seeing the bag, often from a WhatsApp photo, and collection costs nothing.

    • Starting price per type
    • Exact figure agreed first
    • Figures in the price list

How often should a leather bag be cleaned in Dubai?

Every few months for a daily bag, or before and after the hottest stretch. Khaleej Times reported in August 2026 that a parked car in the UAE summer can pass 60°C, and leather that rides around in one dries quickly. A clean and condition before July and after the summer keeps grips and folds from cracking. Pieces you use less can wait longer.

    • Daily bags: every few months
    • Before and after summer
    • Less-used pieces can wait

Do you clean the inside of a bag as well as the outside?

Yes, the lining is cleaned as well as the leather. Dust, crumbs and fine sand from a day on the beach at JBR settle in the lining corners and the zip teeth, where a quick shake leaves some behind. We empty out the grit, clean the lining where its fabric allows, then work on the outside. Please clear every pocket before pickup.

    • Lining and outside both
    • Sand cleared from corners
    • Pockets emptied first

Can you restore the colour of a faded leather bag?

Cleaning and conditioning bring back depth, but we can't promise the original colour. Dubai gets around 3,570 hours of sunshine a year, and a bag that always sits by a window or on the dashboard fades on the side facing the light. Conditioning makes it supple again and evens it out a little. Send a photo and you'll get an honest view first.

    • Suppleness comes back
    • Original colour not promised
    • Honest view from a photo

How long does handbag cleaning take?

Longer than everyday laundry; we'll give you the date when you book. Leather has to dry slowly and absorb its conditioner, and suede must be bone dry before it's brushed, so a bag isn't rushed through. Tell us on WhatsApp if you need it back for a trip or an occasion and we'll say whether that works.

    • Return date given at booking
    • Leather dries slowly
    • Mention any deadline

Do you clean suitcases after travel?

Yes, suitcases and cabin bags are cleaned too. Dubai International is the world's busiest airport for international passengers, and a case comes back from its belts with grime on the shell and streaks on the wheels. We clean the shell, wheels, handle and inside by hand. Unpack it fully first, and the prices section shows where a case starts.

    • Shell, wheels, handle, lining
    • Unpack before pickup
    • Old airline tags off

Do you repair bag handles, straps or zips?

Send us a photo first and we'll tell you what we can do. Our service is cleaning, conditioning and a protective coat, and we don't want to promise a repair before we've seen the damage. A snapped strap, a zip that won't run or a loose clasp is worth a WhatsApp before you book, so you know where you stand before the driver comes.

    • Photo before booking
    • No repair promised unseen
    • Answer before pickup

Can you clean suede and exotic skins like python or croc?

Yes, but each gets its own method, and exotics need a photo first. Suede and nubuck get a cleaner made for napped leather and a brush once fully dry, never conditioner. Python, ostrich and croc have scales or quill bumps that need a lighter touch, so we study the skin and test on a hidden patch before anything else.

    • Suede: brushed, not conditioned
    • Exotics: photo first
    • Hidden-patch test

Is bag pickup and delivery free across Dubai?

Yes, both trips are free in every Dubai zone. Hand the bag over at your door, or at the concierge if your building has one, rather than leaving it outside in the heat. If your gated community needs a visitor pass for the driver, mention it when you book. The other six emirates are covered as well.

    • Visitor pass? Say so
    • Both trips cost nothing

    Bag care, the Dubai way

Leather has a hard time in Dubai, and most of it comes down to swings in temperature. Khaleej Times reported in August that a car parked in the UAE summer sun can heat up to 60°C or more, and a handbag left on the passenger seat bakes along with it. Half an hour later the same bag might be in the air-conditioned chill of Mall of the Emirates, the mall that houses Ski Dubai. Hot, then chilled, then hot again: that's how grips go stiff and the edge paint along a strap starts to split.

    More on Dubai leatherRead less

The sun does the rest. Dubai logs around 3,570 hours of sunshine a year, and its UV index averages above 9. A bag that always rides on the dashboard side, or lives on a chair by a west-facing window, fades on one face only. Tan leather darkens, cream yellows and bright dye can turn chalky. We can clean and condition it so it feels like leather again, but faded colour may not fully come back, so keeping it out of the light is the best advice we can give.

Then there's sand. An afternoon on the beach in front of Jumeirah Beach Residence, or a stroll along the 1.7 km of The Walk, sends fine grit into every seam. It works into zip teeth, settles in the corners of the lining and rubs at the leather from inside. Tip a beach bag out outdoors the same day, and send it to us when the grit won't shift.

Then there are the malls. Dubai Mall, beside Burj Khalifa, has over 1,200 shops and counted 105 million visitors in 2023, and the Dubai Shopping Festival fills the weeks from mid-December to late January. If last winter's festival bag has been used hard since, the cooler months are the time to have it cleaned and conditioned, well before July and August push average highs past 43°C.

Luggage gets its turn too. If you fly through Dubai International, the world's busiest airport for international passengers, your case comes off its belts with grime on the shell and streaks on the wheels. Send it in once it's unpacked. As for the handover, give any bag to the driver at your door, or to the concierge if your building has one; in a gated community that needs a visitor pass, say so when you book.

    • Not in the carA parked car in summer can pass 60°C. Carry the bag in with you, even for a short errand.
    • Grit in the liningAfter a beach day, tip it out outdoors. Sand left inside wears the lining and the zip.
    • Shade, not the sillStore it away from sunny windows and AC vents, in its dust cover, padded with tissue.
    • Who takes it inYou at the door, or the concierge if your building has one. Need a gate pass? Tell us.

    Pack the bag by itself

Since the driver is calling for your bag anyway, set out anything else by the door in separate bags and it rides along free.

Give the handbag its own space, in its dust cover if possible, so heavier things can't press on it. Clothes, footwear and household pieces each go in a separate bag for their own service.

List on WhatsApp what's coming and the driver takes everything in one visit. Each item comes home once its own service is finished.

    • Handbag kept separate
    • A single visit takes all
