Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery at Meliá Desert Palm

Think of it as everything you would do at home on a day off, handed to someone else. The price is for the bag, so a bag of tees and a bag of holiday shorts cost the same if they fill it equally.

• Checked. We read the care labels and look at anything you flagged in the chat, like a sun cream mark on a white polo.
• Sorted. Whites, darks and bright colours are washed apart, and heavy cotton never shares a load with thin summer tops.
• Washed. At the temperature each label allows, with a hypoallergenic, biodegradable detergent.
• Dried gently. Low heat keeps cotton from shrinking and keeps the stretch in sportswear.
• Folded flat. Each bag is folded by hand and packed so it fits straight back into a suitcase.

Empty the pockets before you hand the bag over, and put a name tag on it so the desk knows whose it is.

This is doorstep laundry pickup for a resort: the driver comes to you. The resort is on Al Awir Road, second right after Dragon Mart, so the driver needs a clear pin to find the right gate.

1. Name the hotel. Start the WhatsApp with Meliá Desert Palm and your villa or room number.
2. Drop a pin. Send it from the main gate rather than from the road.
3. Pack and tag. Everyday clothes only, with your name and room on a tag.
4. Hand over. At the lobby or concierge desk, if the hotel allows it.
5. Pay by link. Once the driver has checked the items, a secure link arrives by text.

Nothing is paid in cash, and no card details are taken in the lobby.

The resort has polo grounds, with riding lessons between October and April, plus tennis and squash courts and a gym called The Stables Fitness Centre. Kit from any of these sessions can go in the bag, and it is some of the hardest-working laundry a hotel stay produces.

• Dusty pieces. Shake off loose dirt first, then bag them with the rest, so the wash can deal with what is left.
• Sweaty tops. Do not leave them damp for days. Bag them soon after the session.
• Polo shirts and socks. Washed with the bag on a gentle cycle and folded flat.
• Technical or padded pieces. Tell us in the chat and we check the label before choosing the wash.

Everything comes back together, folded, in one bag.

Linen creases and thin cotton marks easily, so these pieces get a lighter wash. A resort wardrobe is mostly made of them, and they are what guests tend to worry about.

• Linen shirts and trousers. Gentle cycle, low-heat drying, folded flat. If you want one pressed, send it under Clean & Press instead.
• Cover-ups and beach wear. Washed gently with the lights and dried on low heat.
• Dresses. A day dress can go in the bag. Anything beaded or lined is better cleaned and pressed.
• Sun cream marks. Point them out and they are treated by hand before the wash.

Items with no care label are washed at your own risk, so tell us if you are unsure.

The price depends on the bag, not on how many items are in it. There are two sizes, up to 6kg and up to 12kg, and both are flat-rate laundry bags with free pickup and delivery.

• The 6kg bag suits one traveller on a short stay, with a few days of daywear and one set of sports kit.
• The 12kg bag suits a couple, a family, or a week of riding and sports kit.
• Over the limit? Use a second bag, or step up to the larger one. Ask in the chat if you are unsure.
• Pressed pieces do not go in the bag. They are priced one by one under Clean & Press.

The minimum order is AED 50. You see the price before you pay, so the total on your payment link matches the table above.

Standard return for wash and fold is 24 hours where the address is covered, so for most orders it works as a next-day laundry service.

• Booked before 2 PM. Urgent pieces can come back express in 5 hours, if your address is covered.
• Booked in the evening. Collected the next morning, or at a time you choose.
• Check-out day. Hotel check-out is 12 noon, so book the day before and ask for return by then.
• Late flights. If your flight changes, message us and we move the time.

Put your flight or check-out time in the first message and we plan around it.

A long stay in the Residences, or a family that returns every season, may prefer a plan. It turns repeat washing into one monthly charge on a set day, so there is nothing to book each week.

• Essential: one bag a week, four in the month, AED 250.
• Family: two bags a week, eight in the month, AED 450.
• A single bag stays at AED 65 if you only need one wash during your stay.

Plans are billed monthly. You can change the collection day on WhatsApp.

Payment is simple, and nothing is taken in the lobby.

• Pay by link. After the driver checks the items, a secure link arrives by text. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work.
• No cash. Nothing is paid at the desk, and no card details are taken there. Because the payment is by link, this is contactless pickup and delivery: hand the bag over and nothing changes hands.
• Out for delivery once paid. Your clothes are released as soon as the payment goes through.
• Cover. Loss or damage is covered up to 10 times the cleaning price of that item. Pieces that are already damaged, or have no care label, are cleaned at your own risk.

Take one pale shirt that has been worn to a meeting. Its price covers every step below, so you pay for the piece, not for the process.

1. Collected free from the lobby, hung or folded loosely so it does not crush.
2. Marks treated by hand before the shirt goes near water.
3. Washed cool with gentle cleaners, so cotton does not shrink at the collar.
4. Dried in filtered air, not in a hot tumble.
5. Steam pressed by hand: collar, cuffs, then the body.
6. Checked three times, then hung with a breathable cover.
7. Returned within 24 hours as standard.

A business trip often needs a fresh shirt each morning, and a hotel room is not the place to deal with creases.

• Count them. Send five shirts and we check that five come back.
• Say how you wear them. Hung or folded, collar soft or sharp.
• Book before 2 PM if you need one back the same day, where your address is covered.
• Pack them apart. Keep pressed pieces in their own bag, away from any wash and fold bag.

A wedding, a conference dinner or a business lunch all call for a jacket that looks sharp. A suitcase leaves its mark, and one proper steam press fixes most of it.

• Send the pair together. A two-piece suit comes back as a set, on matching hangers.
• Name the event. If it is tomorrow evening, say so, and we book the earliest slot that works.
• Empty the pockets. Cards, pens and room keys should stay with you.
• Coats. A coat of any length counts as one item, cleaned and pressed.
• Ties. Send them in the same bag as the shirt and they come back together.

An evening dress is checked by hand and never rushed. Tell us about beading, sequins or lining when you book, so the right process is chosen.

• Fabric first. Silk, chiffon and satin each need a different approach, so name the fabric if you know it.
• Hung on return. The dress comes back on a hanger in a breathable cover.
• Blouses and coats. Lighter pieces are priced per item too, and listed in the table.

Traditional wear is priced piece by piece, and each type has its own price in the table.

• Kandura. Cleaned and pressed from collar to cuff, and hung ready for a family dinner.
• Abaya. Basic and delicate abayas are priced differently, so say which you have and mention any beading.
• Ghutra. Pressed flat so it sits properly again.
• Jalabiya and kurta. List the count and colours in the chat so every piece is matched on return.

Send traditional outfits a day before the occasion if you can, so they hang ready and have time to settle. If a piece is starched or has a special finish, tell us when you book and we note it on the order.

If a piece cannot wait, say so in the first message. Express laundry delivery can bring it back in 5 hours when you book before 2 PM and your address is covered.

• Send only what is urgent. A shirt and a suit jacket move faster than a full wardrobe.
• Name the deadline. A meeting at 9, a wedding at 7, or a flight at noon.
• We confirm first. If 5 hours is not possible for your address, we say so before pickup.

Every piece has its own line in the table, so the laundry price per item is clear before you book. The driver confirms the count at pickup, and your payment link shows the total.

• No weight charges. Clean and press is never priced by the kilo.
• No surprises. The figure you see is the figure you pay.
• Not listed? Ask in the chat and we give you the price before pickup.

• List it. A rough count in the chat: five shirts, one suit, two kanduras.
• Hand over. At the lobby or concierge desk, if the hotel allows it, with a name tag on the bag.
• Pay by link after the driver checks the items. Nothing is paid at the desk.
• Return. On hangers to the same spot, usually within 24 hours.
• Check on receipt. Count the pieces against your list when they arrive.
