One bag holds up to 6kg of everyday clothes. For one person that is roughly a week of wear: a stack of T-shirts, a few pairs of shorts or jeans, gym kit and swimwear.

You do not need to count pieces or weigh the bag at the hotel. Fill it, tie it and hand it over. The driver looks through the bag with you before it leaves, so you both know what went in.

Message us with your name and Hyatt Regency Dubai, and pick a time. Hotel laundry pickup works like doorstep laundry pickup, except the door is the lobby or the concierge desk, if the hotel allows it.

1. Bring the bag down at the time you chose.
2. The driver checks the items with you.
3. A secure link is texted to your phone for payment.
4. Once it is paid, the bag goes to be washed and folded.
5. The clean bag is brought back to the same place.

It is contactless pickup and delivery, so there is nothing to sign and nobody has to wait around in the lobby for long.

A bag works best for the clothes you wear every day and do not need pressed to a sharp finish. On a stay of a week or more, most of what you pack fits that description.

Everything is washed and folded flat, so it goes straight back into your suitcase or wardrobe. If a piece should hang, put it in the Clean & Press service instead and it comes back on a hanger.

Some things should not go in a wash and fold bag. Suits, evening dresses, silk, coats and kanduras need cleaning and pressing, so book those under Clean & Press.

A piece with no care label, or one that is already damaged, is cleaned at the owner's risk. It is better to tell us before the pickup than to find out afterwards.

Hotel towels and robes stay in your room. They belong to the hotel, and they are not part of our service.

The hotel has an outdoor pool, a gym and an indoor ice rink, so plenty of guests end a few days with kit that smells of chlorine or sweat. All of it can go in the bag.

• Swimwear gets a gentle wash with the rest of the bag.
• Sports tops and shorts are washed on a normal setting. Put them in the bag as they are.
• Kit from the ice rink can go in the same bag.

Rinse swimwear in fresh water first if you can, because chlorine is easier to remove when it has not dried in. If a piece has a care label that says hand wash only, tell us in the chat before the pickup, and we will treat it gently.

We read every care label before washing. The number in the tub symbol is the highest wash temperature, and a crossed-out symbol means the maker does not want that step done.

For drying, one dot in the square symbol means low heat and two dots mean medium heat. Most everyday clothes are fine either way, but tumble drying can shrink cotton, so we dry gently and fold each piece by hand afterwards.

If a label is missing, we cannot tell what the maker intended. That piece is cleaned at the owner's risk, and we will mention it when the driver checks your items at the lobby.

Staying for a month or more? Compare the plans with paying for single bags. A plan suits you when you know you will need a bag every week.

• Essential: one bag a week, four a month, for AED 250.
• Family: two bags a week, eight a month, for AED 450.
• Single bag: AED 65 whenever you need one.

Children go through clothes quickly, especially after a day by the pool. Two or three people can share one bag, and a larger bag up to 12kg suits a family of four.

Our detergent is hypoallergenic and biodegradable, and it is mild enough for babywear. Tell us in the chat if a child has sensitive skin and we will note it on the order.

Hand the bag over at the lobby when it suits you, even if the children are asleep, and send a message to say it is ready.

Clean and press is for the clothes that need to look right. Each piece is checked, cleaned on the process that suits the fabric, pressed and put on a hanger.

Your pieces come back on hangers, so they can go straight into the wardrobe or onto a rail in the car. Pickup and delivery are free, and every price is per piece, so you know what the order costs before the driver leaves.

The hotel has a large ballroom and 17 meeting rooms, so many guests arrive for a conference with a handful of shirts. Send them in on day one.

Five shirts for a week is common. Each one comes back pressed, on a hanger, with the collar still sharp. Express suit pressing helps if a presentation moves up the schedule.

Not every piece should be treated the same way, so we ask what it is made of and how you plan to wear it.

• Suits are cleaned and pressed as a set, or as a jacket and trousers.
• Dresses are cleaned on a process that suits the fabric.
• Kanduras, ghutras and jalabiyas are pressed so the cloth falls cleanly.
• Abayas are cleaned as basic or delicate.
• Coats and ties can be sent on their own.

A kandura or an abaya is steamed and pressed, so the fabric keeps its shape and does not shine. Both come back on hangers, ready to wear.

Tell us if the piece has embroidery or a lace trim, and we will treat it with extra care.

Most care labels have a pressing symbol with dots inside it. The dots tell us how hot the press can be.

• One dot means low heat, used for delicate fabrics such as silk.
• Two dots mean medium heat, used for wool and many blends.
• Three dots mean high heat, which cotton and linen can take.

A crossed-out symbol means no pressing at all. We read this on every piece before it reaches the press, so a heat-sensitive item is never pushed too far.

If a label is missing or has worn away, the piece is cleaned at the owner's risk. Tell us what it is made of if you know, and we will use that to choose the process.

Some fabrics, such as silk, crepe and anything with beads or sequins, need a gentler process. We keep them apart from the rest and treat them on their own. Tell us in the chat if you are unsure about a piece.

Bring hung clothes down on their hangers if you can, or fold them into a bag. The driver checks each piece with you before the payment link is texted to your phone.

When the order is paid and ready, it is delivered back to the same lobby or concierge desk, if the hotel allows it. Hung clothes travel on hangers.

Clean and press is usually back within 24 hours. That suits most plans, but a few moments need more care.

• Dinner tonight: book before 2 PM and ask about express, which is 5 hours where your address is covered.
• A flight tomorrow: send the clothes the day before, so they are packed on time.
• A wedding at the weekend: book earlier in the week, to leave room for cleaning and pressing.
