Almost anything you wear day to day goes in. That means T-shirts, shorts, jeans, underwear, socks, pyjamas, gym kit and swimwear. A week in a hotel makes a surprising amount of this, because you change for the heat, the pool, the gym and the evening.

Fill the bag we bring up to 6kg and the price stays the same. These are flat-rate laundry bags, so there is no need to count items or weigh anything. If you are not sure whether a piece belongs in the bag, ask us on WhatsApp before the driver arrives.

Keep good shirts, suits and dresses out of it. Those belong in Clean & Press, where each piece is cleaned and pressed on its own and comes back on a hanger. Both services can go in the same pickup from Novotel Al Barsha.

When your bag reaches us, it is sorted by colour and fabric. White T-shirts do not share a drum with dark jeans, and sportswear is set aside for a cool cycle of its own. This one step is what stops a grey shirt or a faded favourite.

We wash with a commercial-grade detergent that is also biodegradable and hypoallergenic. It is made for large machines, so a full bag gets the same treatment as a few shirts.

Your bag goes into a machine of its own, so nothing is mixed with another customer's laundry. The drum is sanitised after every load, ready for the next one.

Everything is dried on low heat. That is kinder to cotton, to stretch fabrics and to swimwear, and it is the best way to stop a favourite T-shirt from shrinking. Hot drying is quicker, but your clothes pay for it.

After drying, each load is folded by hand, so shirts are not left in a heap and the pile looks tidy when you open it. When the bag reaches the lobby of Novotel Al Barsha, you can put it straight into the suitcase or a drawer.

Sunscreen, coffee, red wine, sweat and food are all common on a trip, and most of them are easier to remove when they are looked at before the wash. We check bags for marks and treat them by hand first.

The best help you can give us is the cause. Write it on a note, or put it in the WhatsApp chat when you book. Oil needs a different treatment from wine, and make-up is different again. A line of text is all it takes.

If a mark is old or set in, we do our best. We will tell you if it does not fully come out.

Stretch fabrics lose their shape when they get too hot. We wash gym kit, leggings and swimwear on a cool cycle and dry them on low heat, so the elastic keeps its stretch and the colours stay bright. This matters after a day at the pool or on the beach.

Light tops with trims or beading are checked by hand before they are washed. If something is fragile, put it in a small bag of its own inside the main one and write a short note on it, so it is easy to find.

If a piece is really delicate, such as a silk top, it is better sent to Clean & Press and priced by the item, where it is steamed by hand.

After you book, the driver arrives at Novotel Al Barsha at the time you picked and waits for you in the lobby or by the concierge desk, if the hotel allows it. Please keep the bag with you until then.

The driver takes the bag, counts the items with you and checks them. A secure payment link is then texted to your phone. We do not take cash or cards in the lobby, so it is a contactless pickup and delivery from start to finish.

Delivery starts once the payment is made, and the driver brings the bag back to the lobby.

Staying a few weeks on a work project? A monthly plan may suit you better than single bags. Essential gives you one bag every week for AED 250 a month. Family gives you two bags every week for AED 450 a month.

Most Wash & Fold bags come back within 24 hours. That is a next-day laundry service that fits a normal stay: you hand over the bag in the morning and have it again the day after, usually before you need to pack.

If you need something sooner, we can do express. A bag booked before 2 PM can be back in 5 hours, as long as your address is covered. Message us on WhatsApp first to check that your hotel is in the express area.

Every item starts with a check. We look for marks, read the fabric and decide how to clean it. Items are washed in cool water, and delicate pieces get a gentler process. This is the same whether it is a shirt, a suit or a kandura.

Pieces are then dried in filtered air and steamed by hand. Three checks follow before your order is packed, so you get back what you sent and nothing is missing.

Cool water and gentle drying are what keep a good shirt looking good for longer. A fabric that has been washed hot too often goes dull, and cool water avoids that.

Each piece is steamed by hand, so a collar sits flat and a sleeve falls straight. Nothing is rushed through in a stack. It takes a little longer, but it is kinder to the fabric and the result looks better when you put it on.

A suit takes a beating on a business trip. It is folded in a case, worn all day and left in a warm room. Send it and we clean and press it, then hang it so it arrives ready to wear.

The two-piece suit is priced as one item, and a single jacket or a pair of trousers has its own price. Ties are cleaned as well, so you can send the whole outfit together.

If your meeting is tomorrow, send the suit with the first pickup of the day. If it is later the same day, ask about express before 2 PM. Express suit pressing depends on your address being covered, so check with us on WhatsApp first.

In town for a wedding, an event or a dinner? An evening dress has beading, silk or layers, so we look at it carefully before choosing how to clean it. A dress like this should never be rushed.

Tell us about any sequins or delicate trims when you book. If you can, send the dress a day or two before the event so there is time to do it properly.

Your clothes come back on hangers and in breathable bags, not crushed in plastic. That helps when you are travelling on, because a shirt that hangs well in the wardrobe also hangs well in a garment bag.

Most Clean & Press orders are back in 24 hours. Delicate pieces such as silk, beaded dresses and some traditional wear can take longer. It depends on the piece, and we tell you at pickup.

If you have a deadline, send it with your booking: a meeting, a wedding dinner or a flight. We will tell you honestly whether it is possible, and whether express laundry delivery is available at your address.

Express is 5 hours for orders booked before 2 PM, if your address is covered. Other special requests are noted on your order.
