Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery at Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel

Anything machine washable that you wear while travelling can go in the bag. T-shirts, underwear, socks, shorts, jeans, gym kit, pyjamas and swimwear are the usual contents. Fill it up to 6kg for the single-bag price, or use the 12kg bag for a longer stay.

Before you hand it over, empty every pocket. Room key cards, coins, receipts and phone chargers hide in jeans and shorts.

If you are not sure about a piece, name it in your WhatsApp message and we will say which service suits it.

When your bag reaches us, it is opened and sorted before anything is washed. Whites go in one load and darks in another, so a new navy shirt cannot turn your white socks grey.

Gym kit and swimwear are kept away from fine cotton. Stains get a hand treatment first, because heat from a dryer sets them for good. Then each load is washed on its own in a machine that was sanitised after the previous customer.

Drying is on low heat. It takes a little longer, but it protects elastic, swimwear and stretch gym fabrics, which wear out quickly in a hot dryer.

Once dry, every piece is folded by hand and packed in the bag, so you can put it straight into your case or the wardrobe at the hotel.

If a shirt matters for a meeting, put it in Clean & Press instead and it comes back on a hanger.

We read the care label on each piece. If a label says something unusual, such as cold wash only, we follow it.

Tell us in your message about a new dark garment that may bleed, a favourite top or a piece you are unsure about.

A hotel stay in Dubai is full of sweaty, sandy and chlorinated clothes. Pool gear, gym kit, beach shorts and the shirt you wore to a long outdoor day all end up in the same corner of the suitcase.

Bag them the same day if you can. Damp clothes left in a case start to smell within a day, and that smell is hard to remove later. Sun cream leaves yellowish marks on white collars, so tell us if you see one and we will treat it by hand before washing.

Swimwear gets a gentle wash and low heat, which keeps the elastic from losing its stretch. Rinsing it at the hotel first is not needed.

• Put wet items in a separate pocket of the bag.
• Mention sun cream or sand marks in your note.

A standard bag comes back within 24 hours of pickup. If you need something sooner, book before 2 PM and ask for express: urgent pieces can be back in 5 hours, if your address is covered.

Express is best kept for the few items you truly need, such as a shirt for tonight. Send the rest in the normal bag.

If you are at Avani Ibn Battuta for several weeks, a monthly plan may suit better than single bags. The Essential plan is AED 250 a month for one bag a week, and the Family plan is AED 450 a month for two bags a week.

A single bag stays at AED 65, with no plan needed.

You do not pay in the lobby and no cash changes hands. After the driver checks your items with you, a secure payment link is texted to your phone.

You can pay with a debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Once the payment is made, your clothes go out for delivery.

Clean & Press is for pieces that should not go in a bulk wash. Each is washed in cool water, dried in filtered air and finished by hand with steam.

Every piece is checked three times along the way. It then comes back on a hanger in a breathable bag, so it can go straight into the wardrobe.

Send the shirt for tomorrow's meeting, the dress for the dinner and the suit for the wedding. Leave T-shirts and gym kit for the wash and fold bag.

Mention the event date and time in your booking, so we plan the order around it.

A suit that has been folded into a case needs more than a quick steam. Send jacket and trousers together, so they are cleaned the same way and keep their matching shade.

Ties go in as well. A silk tie with one dinner stain is easy to rescue if it is sent in soon.

Express suit pressing is possible if you book before 2 PM and your address is covered. The suit then comes back on a hanger, in a breathable bag.

If a shirt is clean and only creased, pressing only is the better fit. If it is casual cotton, the wash and fold bag does the job and comes back folded.

Kanduras, abayas, ghutras, jalabiyas and kurtas all have their own price. The kandura price is AED 15, and a plain abaya has a basic price that is lower than a delicate one.

White garments show marks easily. Oil and dust build up along the collar and cuffs, so tell us where you see a mark and we will treat it by hand first.

Everything comes back on a hanger or folded flat, as the garment suits, and in a breathable bag.

Book before 2 PM and urgent pieces can be back in 5 hours, if your address is covered. That can mean a shirt for tonight or a suit for a morning flight to a meeting.

We confirm the time on WhatsApp first, before the driver comes.

Silk, satin, beaded and lace pieces get more careful handling, so they can take longer than 24 hours. How long depends on the piece, and we tell you at pickup. Tell us the date you need them back by.

Care goes into every piece, and the order is checked with you at pickup. If something is lost or damaged while it is with us, cover is up to 10 times the cleaning price of that item.

Items that were already damaged, or that have no care label, are cleaned at your own risk.
