A 6kg bag holds about a week of clothes for one person. For a business trip that often means five or six shirts or tops, trousers, underwear, socks and a few T-shirts.

Gym kit and swimwear can go in too. If you are travelling with a partner or children, a second bag or the bigger 12kg bag keeps things easy.

Before anything goes in the machine, we sort it by colour and by fabric. Whites stay apart from darks, so a new navy shirt cannot colour your white T-shirts.

Fabrics that need a gentler cycle are washed apart from heavier things like jeans.

A drop of sauce from dinner or a coffee spilt on the way to a meeting is treated by hand before the wash. That gives the detergent a better chance on the mark.

Everything is dried on low heat. That is kinder to cotton and to stretchy fabrics like gym kit, so nothing is shrunk by a hot dryer.

Then it is folded and bagged, and ready for your suitcase.

Most wash and fold orders are back within 24 hours in most of Dubai, so it works as a next-day laundry service. Hand over your bag in the morning, and it can be on its way back the next day.

If the hotel allows it, our driver can meet you at the Dusit Thani Dubai lobby or concierge desk. The driver goes through the items with you there.

Based in Dubai for weeks? A monthly plan saves you booking each time. Essential is AED 250 a month for a bag a week, and Family is AED 450 a month for two bags a week.

With no plan, a single bag is charged at AED 65.

Once the driver has checked your items, a secure link arrives by text. Pay with a debit card, a credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Nobody takes cash or cards in the lobby.

Should an item be lost or damaged, we cover up to 10 times its cleaning price.

Each piece has its own price, shown in the table. A shirt costs less than a suit, and a plain dress costs less than an evening gown.

That is easy to follow when you only have a few good pieces to clean. Send us the list in the chat, and we will confirm what each one costs before you pay.

Items are washed in cool water, then dried with filtered air. This protects colour and shape better than a hot cycle.

After cleaning, each piece is pressed with a hand steamer. A person guides the steam over the collar, cuffs and front, which keeps a shirt sharp for a long day.

Suits and jackets come back on a hanger, ready for the wardrobe.

Every item is checked three times: when it arrives, after cleaning and before it leaves us. Nothing goes back to you unseen.

Pieces come back on hangers in breathable covers, not stuffed in a bag. That helps a shirt or a dress arrive with no new creases.

If you fly out soon after, you can lift them from the hanger and fold them into your suitcase.

Standard items are back in 24 hours. Delicate pieces such as silk can take longer, depending on the piece. We tell you the time at pickup, so book early.
