What happens to your bag
Every bag gets the same care, whether it holds a few T-shirts or a full 6kg load from a long stay at Four Seasons DIFC.
- Sorted by hand: the bag is emptied, care labels are read, and whites, darks and colours are split.
- Stains first: marks are treated by hand before anything goes in the machine.
- Washed alone: your clothes run in a machine of their own, and it is sanitised when the cycle ends.
- Dried gently: low heat keeps cotton from shrinking and gym kit from losing its stretch.
- Folded by hand: everything is folded and packed in your bag, ready to go in a suitcase.
A small bag gets exactly the same care as a full one.
Booking from your room
Booking takes about a minute in WhatsApp. There is no app and no account to set up. Message from your room, the lobby or the taxi back from a meeting.
- Send a message: write Four Seasons DIFC, your name and roughly what is in the bag.
- Pick a time: choose an hour that suits your day, such as before breakfast or after the last meeting.
- Meet the driver: hand the bag over at the lobby or concierge, if the hotel allows it.
- Check and pay: after the driver checks your items, a secure payment link is texted to your phone.
What can go in the bag
Almost anything machine washable can go in. If you wear it often and it does not need a hanger, it belongs in the bag.
- Everyday clothes: T-shirts, polo shirts, jeans, chinos, shorts, leggings and pyjamas.
- Gym and pool kit: workout tops, shorts, socks and swimwear from the rooftop pool. Hotel towels and robes stay in the room.
- Underwear and socks: washed at a temperature that suits the fabric, and returned folded.
- Children's clothes: washed with the same mild detergent as everything else.
- Casual shirts: if you do not need them pressed, they can go in the bag and come back folded.
Pack the bag loosely, and check pockets for cards, coins and chargers first.
What to keep out of the bag
A few pieces need a hanger or a different process, so leave them out of the folding pile.
- Suits, jackets and ties: send these under Clean & Press instead, so they come back hung.
- Silk, beaded or sequinned outfits: these need dry cleaning, not a machine wash.
- Shirts for a meeting: they come back on hangers, not folded, so book them as Clean & Press.
- Shoes and bags: these have their own services, and the driver can take them in the same visit.
Washing for Dubai heat and long days
Dubai summer runs from late April to early October, with days that regularly pass 38 C and coastal humidity that can top 90%. A shirt takes on sweat quickly, even on a short walk across Gate Village.
- Do not leave damp kit in the suitcase: gym clothes and swimwear turn sour within a day, so bag them as soon as you can.
- Lighter fabrics: cotton and linen are still dried on low heat, so they do not shrink.
- Sand and dust: after a desert trip, shake out your clothes before packing them, and mention the trip when you book.
- Pool days: swimwear is washed gently, and a quick rinse before bagging helps with chlorine.
For most of this, a normal 24 hour return is plenty, and no rush order is needed.
Handing over at the hotel
Contactless pickup and delivery is how most guests prefer it, and it keeps things quick.
- Name on the bag: put your name on a note inside, so the right bag is matched to the right guest.
- Lobby or concierge: if the hotel allows it, the driver meets you there. Ask the front desk if you are unsure.
- Payment: a secure link is texted to you after the driver checks your items. Nothing is paid in the lobby.
Staying longer? Monthly plans for long stays
If you are in Dubai for weeks, or you keep a suite here for work, a plan saves you booking every time. Pickup happens on the same weekday each week.
- Essential, AED 250 a month: a bag every week, four over the month.
- Family, AED 450 a month: two bags every week, eight over the month.
- Single bags: AED 65 each, with no commitment at all.
You can change plans in the chat at any time, and pickup stays free.
Turnaround and express
Standard wash and fold is back within 24 hours, so it works as a next-day laundry service for most orders.
- Express: 5 hours if you book before 2 PM and your address is covered. Ask on WhatsApp first, with the hotel name.
- Checking out soon: book the pickup a day early and tell us your flight or checkout time, so the return is planned around it.
- Same-day hotel laundry: possible when express is covered for your address.

What each price covers
The price shown is the full price for that piece. It includes pickup, cleaning, pressing and the trip back to Four Seasons DIFC.
- Inspected on arrival: the label, the seams and any marks are checked.
- Cleaned to suit the fabric: cotton, wool and delicates are not treated alike.
- Pressed and hung: pieces return on hangers, not folded.
- Nothing extra: there is no separate fee for pickup or return.
Booking Clean & Press from your room
Message us on WhatsApp with Four Seasons DIFC and a list of what you are sending, like 4 shirts, 2 kanduras and 1 suit.
- Say when you need them: a dinner tonight is different from a flight tomorrow.
- Mention marks: a coffee spill or a pen line is worth telling us.
- Ask about express: it is 5 hours if you book before 2 PM and your address is covered.
Pieces that suit this service
Choose this for anything you want to wear straight off the hanger, the pieces you would normally take to a dry cleaner.
- Shirts and blouses: cotton, linen and poplin, with collars and fronts pressed flat.
- Trousers and skirts: office trousers, chinos and day skirts keep a clean line.
- Suits and jackets: cleaned and pressed as a set or alone.
- Traditional wear: kanduras, ghutras, abayas, jalabiyas and kurtas.
- Evening dresses and coats: priced as their own items.
When another service is better
T-shirts and gym kit cost less in the wash and fold bag. If your clothes are clean and only creased, ask for pressing only and skip the wash. Silk and beaded pieces go under dry cleaning.
Reading the care label first
We read the label on every garment before doing anything else. The symbols are easy once someone has shown you.
- The wash tub: a number shows the highest wash temperature, and a hand means hand wash only.
- The triangle: if it is crossed out, no bleach goes near the piece.
- The iron symbol: the dots show how much heat the fabric can take, and a cross means no pressing with heat.
- The circle: this means a solvent clean, which is dry cleaning, not water.
- Fibre content: wool, silk and cotton are treated differently, so the label guides our choice.
If a label is missing, the piece is cleaned at your own risk, and we tell you before we start.
Hang them up
Pressed clothes stay crisp for longer if you treat them well once they are back.
- Hang straight away: a shirt left on a chair creases again within the hour.
- Give hangers room: a little space stops sleeves from crushing each other.
- Suits on the plane: hang a suit in a garment bag, or fold it once only.
- Let it settle: if the room is humid, give a pressed shirt a few minutes before you put it on.
Delicate pieces take longer
Most Clean & Press orders come back within 24 hours. Delicate pieces such as silk or beaded outfits can take longer because they need slower, gentler care. We tell you the time at pickup.
- Plan ahead: if you need a delicate piece for a specific night, book it early and ask us how long it will take.
- Express: 5 hours if you book before 2 PM and your address is covered.
Common marks on shirts and suits
A few marks turn up on almost every business trip, and each has its own treatment.
- Collar rings: sweat builds up at the neckband, so we pre-treat it before cleaning.
- Coffee and tea: best treated early, so tell us when it happened.
- Pen and ink: point to the spot so we can find it.
- Cigar smoke: a jacket worn in a lounge can carry the smell, and cleaning helps lift it.

Why Four Seasons DIFC guests choose LPlaundry
Travel creases clothes fast
A few days at Four Seasons DIFC can leave you with creased shirts, sweaty gym kit and a suit for dinner. Here is what we wash, what we press and what each piece costs.
-
Care labels read before every wash
We read the label on each piece and pick the wash to match. If anything is unclear, we ask you first.
-
Mild detergent
Hypoallergenic and biodegradable, with only a light scent left on the cloth.
-
Stains treated first
Marks are treated by hand before the wash. Tell us the cause, because coffee and ink are not treated the same way.
-
Dried on low heat
Low heat stops cotton shrinking and keeps stretch fabrics in shape. Nothing goes in a hot dryer unless its label allows it.
-
Your own machine
Your clothes run in a machine of their own, sanitised at the end of each cycle.
-
Folded neatly
Wash and fold items are folded by hand and packed in your bag. Pressed pieces come back on hangers.
