Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery at Vida Creek Harbour

Take a 6kg bag from a four-night trip: trousers, T-shirts, pyjamas, kit from the hotel fitness centre and a pile of socks. This is what happens to it.

• Looked over first. Each piece is checked by hand, so a mark is found before the wash, not after.
• Sorted. Lights away from darks, and stretchy gym kit away from heavy jeans.
• Washed. A biodegradable, hypoallergenic detergent, at the temperature each care label allows.
• Dried on low heat. High heat shrinks cotton and wears out stretch fabric.
• Folded and checked. Everything is folded flat, checked again and packed together for the return to Vida Creek Harbour.

The bag stays together as one order, so nothing goes missing or mixes with another guest's clothes. If you want something washed on its own, such as baby clothes or running kit, write it in your message and we add it to the order.

There is no app and no account. One WhatsApp message starts it: the hotel name, your name, what you are sending and a time.

1. You pack. Any bag works for the first collection. Fill it with clothes that can go in a machine.
2. We collect. The driver meets you at the lobby or concierge, if the hotel allows it, and checks the items with you.
3. You pay. We text a secure link. Pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never take cash or cards in the lobby.
4. We wash, dry and fold. The same routine every time.
5. It comes back. Within 24 hours as standard, to the same lobby or concierge, once you have paid.

Check the care label in each piece. A tub symbol means a machine wash is fine, and a number in the tub is the hottest wash it takes. If you are unsure, send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we tell you before the pickup.

• Jeans, chinos, leggings and joggers
• Gym kit, swimwear and sports socks
• Pyjamas, loungewear and underwear
• Children's clothes, if you are travelling with family
• Cotton kanduras you are happy to have folded rather than pressed

Everything here leaves Vida Creek Harbour in one bag and comes back folded together. Light cotton dries fast on low heat, and thick items like jeans take a little longer, which is why we use a flat bag price rather than counting pieces.

Some pieces need more than a machine wash. A hand-wash symbol, a crossed-out tub or the words "dry clean only" on the label all mean the same thing: this piece should not go in the bag.

Both can leave Vida Creek Harbour on the same pickup, in separate bags from your wash and fold bag. Just tell the driver which bag is which, and write it in your message too.

A trip brings its own kinds of laundry. Here is how to pack each one so it comes back well.

• Swimwear. After a swim in the hotel's open-air pool, rinse the suit and keep it in its own bag. Wet fabric turns sour quickly in a closed suitcase.
• Sand. Shake beach clothes and shorts out before packing, so grit does not spread through the bag.
• Gym kit. Do not zip sweaty tops into a bag. Hang them in the air-conditioned room until the driver arrives.
• Hot-weather shirts. Dubai's July and August highs go over 43 C, so a shirt often needs washing after one outing.
• Flight clothes. What you wore on the plane has sat in a cabin for hours. Add it to the bag before your next trip.

If anything is still damp, say so in your message.

Tell us about a mark when you book. A stain treated before the wash has the best chance of coming out.

• Sunscreen. It leaves an orange-yellow line on white collars and swim tops. Point it out, because a normal wash can set it.
• Deodorant. Pale, stiff patches under the arms of dark tops need a look before washing.
• Food and drink. Coffee, sauce and wine marks are easier to treat when we know the cause.
• Pockets. Check them for pens, receipts and tissues, which can mark a whole load.

Most guests need one bag, and a one-off bag at AED 65 is all they book. If you are staying at Vida Creek Harbour for a month or more, a plan saves you booking each time.

• Essential, AED 250 a month: four bags a month, one collected each week.
• Family, AED 450 a month: eight bags a month, two collected each week, for a group with children's clothes in every wash.

• Lobby or concierge: hand the bag over at the desk, if the hotel allows it, and tell us in the chat.
• Payment: a secure link is texted after the driver checks the items. Clothes go out for delivery once paid.
• Minimum: every order starts at AED 50, and one small bag is enough to get there.

Take a white shirt worn through a hot day of meetings. By the evening it has a grey line inside the collar and marks on the cuffs. Here is what its single price pays for.

• Looked at closely. Collar, cuffs and underarms are checked by hand, and marks are treated before the wash.
• Washed in cool water. That protects the fit and keeps the colour.
• Dried in filtered air, not a hot drum, so the shirt keeps its size.
• Steam-pressed by hand. Collar points and cuffs get the most attention.
• Checked again, then hung. It returns on a hanger inside a breathable cover.

Clean and press suits the clothes you would wash and press yourself if you had the time. Send a short list on WhatsApp, such as four shirts, a pair of trousers and a kandura, so the driver knows what to expect.

Keep the pieces on hangers or flat in their own bag, apart from any wash and fold bag. The driver collects them at the lobby or concierge, if the hotel allows it, and checks every item with you. After you pay the secure link, they come back on hangers.

• Kanduras: sweat yellows a collar fastest in summer, and hot water sets that mark into cotton for good. We lift it in a cool wash, then press the front and the sleeves sharp.
• Plain abayas: black crepe and nida turn shiny under a hot, dry press. Steam keeps the black matt and the drape soft.
• Ghutras and gathras: pressed flat and even, so the fold sits properly when you wear it.
• Jalabiyas and kurtas: handled the same careful way, and priced one by one.

Abayas with beading, crystals or lace need more than water. Tell us when you book, and we read the label before we decide how to clean them.

• Shirts: cotton poplin, oxford cloth and linen blends. Tell us if you like a softer collar.
• Trousers and chinos: a sharp crease if you want one, none if you do not.
• Skirts and day dresses: cotton, viscose and polyester pieces with a washtub on the label.

Prefer some pieces folded for the suitcase? Say so in your message and we pack them that way.

Many guests at Vida Creek Harbour pack a suit or a formal dress for a meeting, a wedding or a gala. Creased by a suitcase is the usual problem, and a good press fixes it.

• Two-piece suits: the jacket and trousers are priced together as one item, and come back on hangers.
• Jackets alone: send just the jacket if you wear it with other trousers.
• Evening dresses: cleaned or pressed on their own.
• Blouses and ties: pressed flat and returned ready to wear.
• Coats: a larger job with its own price.

For a suit you need tonight, ask about express suit pressing on WhatsApp before 2 PM. It returns in 5 hours if your address is covered.

Clean and press uses cool, gentle water, but it is still water. A letter P or F in a circle on the label, or the words "dry clean only", mean the piece should not be washed. Silk, structured wool and beaded evening wear belong in that group. Send them to our dry cleaning page. The same driver can collect them with your shirts.

• Hang pressed clothes in an air-conditioned room as soon as they arrive. Humid air softens a fresh press quickly.
• Leave a finger's width between hangers, so collars do not crush each other.
• Keep the breathable cover on anything you will not wear for a few days.
• Pack shirts folded in thirds with the collar flat, on top of the case.
