Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery at Swissotel Al Ghurair

Once your payment link is settled, the bag goes to our laundry. This is what happens to it.

• Pockets checked: pens, coins, room keys and tissues come out, because one pen can mark a whole load.
• Sorted by colour: whites and lights go together, jeans and darks go together, and lace gets a cooler cycle.
• Marks treated first: sun cream, coffee and make-up are dealt with before the wash, since heat can lock them in.
• Mild detergent: hypoallergenic and biodegradable, rinsed until only a faint clean smell is left.
• Low-heat drying: this keeps cotton from shrinking and stretchy fabric from losing its shape.
• Folded by hand: your bag is counted and checked before it is sealed.

1. Message us on WhatsApp with Swissotel Al Ghurair and the time you want us. No app is needed.
2. Fill the bag with everyday clothes. Check the pockets and keep your room key out of it.
3. Meet the driver at the lobby or concierge desk, if the hotel allows it, and go through the items together.
4. Pay by secure link sent to your phone after that check. No cash or cards change hands in the lobby.
5. Get it back at the same spot, with a message before the driver arrives.

If it is safe in a home washing machine, it is safe in our bag. Leave out anything labelled hand wash only or do not wash. What guests usually put in:

• Tops: T-shirts, vests and polos.
• Sports kit: gym tops, shorts and socks.
• Casual trousers: jeans, chinos and joggers.
• Nightwear and underwear: in a separate small bag if you like.
• Swimwear: rinsed in fresh water first.
• Light dresses: cotton and linen that are washed often in this heat.

The bag is for everyday clothes. Anything else is welcome too, charged separately, on the same booking and with the same driver.

• Smart and traditional pieces: shirts, suits, kanduras and abayas go under Clean & Press, one price per piece, back on hangers.
• Silk, thick wool, sequins: water is too rough for these. Book dry cleaning, our guest dry cleaning for the pieces that matter most.
• Underwired bras and hand-wash knitwear: keep them out of the bag and wash them by hand in your room.

A few careful minutes at the start protect your clothes through the whole wash. Here is what we guard against.

• Colour run: a new red shirt or dark jeans can bleed in the first wash, so they never touch whites.
• Scraping: jeans and metal zips are washed apart from fine cloth.
• No sharing: two customers' clothes never go into one drum.
• Clean drums: each drum is sanitised before the next order.
• Commercial-grade detergent: it is hypoallergenic and biodegradable. Gym clothes are rinsed for longer, to clear the sweat.
• Careful drying: stretchy fabric gets a lower heat than jeans do.

We collect from guests at Swissotel Al Ghurair, beside Al Ghurair Centre on Omar bin Khattab Road. Collection and return are both free.

A bag collected from Swissotel Al Ghurair is normally back the next day, in line with our 24 hour target for most of Dubai.

In a hurry? We also run a same-day laundry service for hotel guests. Order before 2 PM and, if we cover your address, express laundry delivery brings it back within 5 hours of pickup. Message us and we will confirm.

• Show us marks: sun cream on a collar, coffee on a cuff, or sauce on a T-shirt.
• Tell us what you tried: hot water, bleach or a spray may have set the stain.
• Let kit breathe: gym clothes sealed in a bag go sour in this heat, so hang them up for an hour first.

The price shown for a shirt is the whole price. The hanger and the cover cost nothing extra, and neither does the pre-treatment of marks.

• Counted in: the driver counts each piece against your list and reads its label.
• Marks first: stains are treated by hand before any heat can set them.
• Cool wash: cotton shirts are washed cool so they do not shrink, and finer cloth follows its label.
• Hang dried: this keeps the sleeves their proper length.
• Steam order: we start at the collar, then work down to the sleeves.
• Final look: every piece is checked once more before it goes into its cover.

1. Message us what you are sending, such as "two shirts and a suit", plus the hotel and the day you need them.
2. Bring them hanging if you can, or folded in a bag.
3. Meet the driver at the lobby or concierge, if the hotel allows it.
4. Pay by secure link once the driver has checked the items.
5. Collect them hanging, in covers, normally the next day.

Send these under Clean & Press, because they look best hanging:

• Work shirts: poplin, oxford or twill, with the collar done first.
• Linen: shirts and trousers crease fast in a suitcase, and steam smooths them.
• Blouses and skirts: crepe and viscose crease easily when folded.
• Suits and jackets: wool or cotton blends, with the lapels kept flat.
• Kanduras and thobes: white cotton, with the front steamed smooth.
• Ghutras: returned flat for you to fold.
• Abayas and jalabiyas: dark fabrics are steamed, not pressed hot.

• Already clean, just creased? Pressing only removes the creases without a wash.
• Silk, lace, thick wool or sequins? Choose dry cleaning.
• Only T-shirts and gym kit? A Wash & Fold bag is better value.

Care labels show an iron with dots. We press below the heat the label allows. Three dots allows roughly 200°C, fine for cotton and linen. Two dots, roughly 150°C, is for wool, silk and polyester blends. A single dot, roughly 110°C, is for synthetics. An iron crossed out means steam alone, and no hot plate touches the cloth.

• Dark cloth: hot metal makes black fabric shiny, so dark trousers and black abayas only meet steam.
• Collars and cuffs: these get the most time, as they show first.
• Your crease: tell us sharp, soft or none.

We collect from guests at Swissotel Al Ghurair for free, the same as for every other service. Please send the day you need your clothes and the time that suits you.

• Please send: the hotel name, the day you need them back and a pin if you are meeting elsewhere.
• Reference points: Al Ghurair Centre and Fish Roundabout, both close by.

Hanging orders normally return the next day, our 24 hour target for most of Dubai. Delicate fabrics can need longer. It depends on the piece, and we tell you the time at booking.

Want a shirt back tonight? Book before 2 PM. When your address is covered, it returns 5 hours after pickup. Send the hotel name and we reply to confirm.

When the driver checks your items, it helps to point out any of these.

• Spills: coffee, tea, sauce or wine. Say which one.
• Make-up: lipstick or foundation on a neckline. Tell us where.
• Sweat: heat turns it yellow on white collars and kandura necklines, and fresh marks come out better.
• Deodorant: pale streaks on dark cloth and yellowing on light cloth need different treatments, so say which.
• Oud and perfume oil: one drop can mark pale cotton. Show us where.
