Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery at Raffles Dubai

Anything you would normally put in your own washing machine can go in. You are charged for the bag, so there is no need to count shirts or socks, and a heavy bag costs no more than a light one up to the weight limit. Most guests fill it with the clothes that pile up on a trip, from the first wet swimsuit to the last pair of creased shorts.

Send us a WhatsApp message with your name and the time you will be in the Raffles Dubai lobby. That is all it takes to start. After that:

1. The driver takes the bag from the lobby, if the hotel allows it.
2. At our plant the clothes are split by colour and fabric.
3. Your load runs in a machine used for nobody else.
4. After a gentle dry, everything is folded.
5. The driver brings the bag back to the lobby.

You get a short message each time the order moves on.

Cotton, jersey, polyester and denim all cope well with a bag wash. Those are the fabrics most people pack, and they return soft and neatly folded.

Check the care label if you are unsure. When it says hand wash, or the piece is silk, lace or beaded, keep it out of the bag and use Clean & Press, or send a photo of the label and we will point you the right way.

A few things need to be dealt with on their own, so please leave them out of the bag. They may be fine, but a bag wash is not the right way to treat them:

• Suits, blazers and dresses that need a proper press afterwards.
• Anything silky, lacy, beaded or sequinned.
• Kanduras, abayas and ghutras, each of which has its own price.
• Leather, suede, or any label that says dry clean only.
• The hotel's towels and robes, which are not ours to wash and should stay in your room.

If you have any doubt, ask us in the chat before you pack, and we will tell you where each piece should go. A quick photo of the label is enough.

Labels come first. We wash at the temperature each label allows, which for most everyday clothes means a cool or warm cycle, and dark colours go in apart from light ones so that nothing bleeds.

Your order has a whole machine to itself, and a guest staying down the corridor never shares your load. We use a commercial-grade detergent that is still gentle and hypoallergenic, with a thorough rinse after.

Drying is slow and low. That helps cotton keep its size and stops elastic from going loose, which is important when you only have a few favourite pieces with you.

Last, every item is folded by hand for the suitcase.

Our driver waits for you in the Raffles Dubai lobby, as long as the hotel allows it. Please tell the front desk to expect us, and write your name on the bag so it can be matched to your booking.

You can also leave the bag with the concierge or bell desk, but ask them first, because we only collect from there when they agree. Wafi is busy at weekends and during events, so a clear time and a named bag save everyone waiting around.

The driver stays downstairs and does not go to rooms.

For several weeks in Dubai, whether on business or for treatment at Dubai Healthcare City, a monthly plan may cost less than booking bag after bag. Your pickup then happens on a fixed weekday and you stop rebooking.

• Essential: one bag a week, billed at AED 250 a month.
• Family: two bags a week, billed at AED 450 a month.
• No plan at all: book one bag, AED 65, whenever you need it.

Normally your bag is back the next day, within 24 hours of the handover. If you cannot wait, book before 2 PM and ask for express. It takes 5 hours when we cover your address, and we confirm that before you rely on it. In other words, same-day laundry service exists for many guests, though not every address.

Mention any stain and what caused it, and we deal with it first. Flying out soon? Put your departure time in the booking, and we will tell you straight if it can be done.

Guest dry cleaning here means we treat each garment separately. Before anything else, someone checks the label, the collar, the cuffs and the underarms, and works on any mark by hand. A shirt that has been through a day of meetings, or a kandura worn in the heat, needs that closer look.

• Cleaning: in the way the label permits, and never mixed into a shared bag.
• Steam: applied by hand, so creases lift without leaving a shine.
• Press: collars, cuffs and pleats are finished sharp.
• Hanger: every garment comes back hanging, covered.

It is ready to wear straight away, whether you are heading to a meeting room, a clinic appointment or the ballroom.

Plain T-shirts, shorts and sports kit do not need a press, so they cost less in a Wash & Fold bag. Garments that are delicate, or marked dry clean only, are explained on the dry cleaning page, with their own prices. If you cannot tell which one fits, send a photo of the label in the chat and we will advise you before you pack anything.

White kanduras are kept away from colour, and the collar and cuffs get extra attention, since that is where marks build up in the heat. Crepe and nida abayas have a gentle wash and a cool steam press, which keeps the black deep and flat.

Jackets are cleaned as the label directs, then shaped on a hanger so the shoulders hold. Shirts get crisp collars and cuffs, with the body steamed smooth.

Silk and similar fabrics that mark easily are pressed through a cloth. We read every label before starting, and if a piece looks like a risk, we write to you first and wait for your answer. We would rather ask than guess.

The driver meets you in the Raffles Dubai lobby, if the hotel allows it, and returns the finished garments to the same spot, hanging. Please tell the front desk we are due, so nobody is surprised.

If you move rooms or check out early, message us and we change the handover.

The usual return is within 24 hours. A delicate garment may take longer, and we tell you at booking. If you have a meeting tomorrow, book as soon as you know and write the start time in the notes.

Express takes 5 hours when you book before 2 PM and we cover your address. Ask on WhatsApp first, so you are not left waiting for a promise we could not keep.

Mention any mark when you book, and what caused it, because wine, sunscreen, coffee and sweat all need different handling.

You can ask for a crease down the front of trousers, or for a lighter press on a delicate piece. Write the request in the chat and the team gets it.

When a stain turns out to be permanent, we tell you before the garment goes back to the lobby, so there are no surprises when you open the cover.
