Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery in Oud Metha

5. We deliver: a WhatsApp tells you when the driver sets off for Oud Metha. That trip is free too.

Rule of thumb: if it survives your own washing machine, it can go in the bag. Leave out hand-wash-only and do-not-wash items. A bag from Oud Metha might hold:

Before a machine is loaded, every Oud Metha order is sorted. Here is how.

• Colour: brand-new jeans and bright cottons may bleed in early washes, so whites never share with them.
• Weight: heavy denim and metal zips scuff thin tops into bobbles, so they are washed alone.
• Your own machine: another household's clothes never join yours.
• Sanitised drum: the drum is cleaned once your load is out and before the next one goes in.
• Detergent: commercial-grade, biodegradable and hypoallergenic, rinsed out thoroughly because leftover soap itches in humid weather.
• Drying: too much heat shrinks cotton and slackens elastic, so we dry gently and run a hand over waistbands, cuffs and seams to confirm they are dry.
• Final look: a loose button or a stubborn mark earns you a message from us.

• Mark the spot: tell us if the sauce is on a cuff, the sun cream on a collar or the juice on a uniform sleeve.
• Mention home remedies: bleach, hot water or a spray used earlier can make a mark stubborn.
• Air sweaty tops: clothes shut in a bag overnight turn sour in the heat, so let them dry first.

What you see for a shirt from Oud Metha is the full price. A stain, the hanger and the cover carry no extra charge.

• On arrival: we clear the pockets, study the label and make a note of loose buttons.
• Stains by hand: a mark can set in warm water, so we work on it by hand before washing.
• Cleaning: cotton and cotton blends are washed cool so they do not shrink, and delicate pieces get specialist care.

Pieces that crease after a single wear belong here. In an Oud Metha wardrobe, expect to send:

• Office shirts in poplin, oxford or twill, always begun at the collar.
• Blouses and skirts in viscose, crepe or fine cotton, which wrinkle quickly and hold their shape on a hanger.
• Suits and chinos in wool or cotton blends, with jackets going on a body form so the lapels stay flat.
• Kanduras and thobes mostly white cotton or poly-cotton, steamed smooth at the front.
• Ghutras are laid flat and smoothed. You can fold them at home.
• Abayas and jalabiyas in georgette or crepe only meet steam, so black fabric does not shine. A shayla has no listed price, so ask on WhatsApp.
• Kurta sets travel on a single ticket.
• School shirts that need a crisp collar before photo day.

• Already clean but creased? Pressing takes the creases out without another wash.
• Silk, lace, heavy wool, sequins or beads? Water may harm them, so dry cleaning is the safer route.
• Tees, socks, pyjamas or gym shorts? Drawer clothes go in a Wash & Fold bag.

Dots on the care label show the safe heat, and our steamer never goes above them. One dot (synthetics such as acrylic) means roughly 110°C, two dots (wool, silk, polyester blends) roughly 150°C and three dots (cotton, linen) roughly 200°C. A crossed-out symbol is steam only.

• Dark crepe only meets steam, because a hot plate can polish it to a shine. Black abayas and dark trousers are treated this way.
• Collars and cuffs get extra time, since they are the first thing people see.
• Your crease preference (sharp, soft, none or a travel fold) is saved with your order.
• Covers that breathe: summers here are humid and plastic holds damp in. Ours keep dust out and let moisture out on the way to Oud Metha.

Hanging clothes are picked up free from every address in Oud Metha, exactly as a wash and fold bag is.

Want a shirt today? Book before 2 PM. In the express zone it returns 5 hours after collection. Some addresses sit outside the zone, so give us your building name and we will look it up.

When you book from Oud Metha, mention any of these.

• Food or drink on a work shirt, and what it was.
• Yellowing collars: sweat gathers inside white collars and kandura necklines in a Dubai summer, and early treatment works best.
• Deodorant: white marks on dark cloth and yellow marks on pale cloth need different treatment.
• Perfume oil and oud can leave a ring on pale cotton, so show us where.
• Anything else, such as a button to sew on, a travel fold or no crease at all. Add it to your message.

Each price includes collection from your Oud Metha home, the cleaning and the return. Sheets and pillowcases are bed linen wash and fold items: washed, felt along the seams for damp, then laid flat to fold. Pillowcases get the same attention as a king duvet but are ready sooner.

• Hand checked: edges, seams and any mark you told us about.
• A sanitised machine to yourself: your bedding has the drum to itself. A duvet needs space to move about, since a tight fit wets the outside and leaves the core damp.
• Mild detergent: biodegradable and hypoallergenic, which matters most for pillowcases, as you sleep with your cheek on them.
• Dry in the middle: a duvet leaves the dryer only when the centre feels as dry as the edge. The cover is ready long before the filling, so we go by feel rather than a timer.
• Bagged dry: nothing damp is ever packed for the drive back to Oud Metha.

Duvet covers are AED 31, and each cover is taken off and washed apart from the duvet.

1. Tell us what is going, for instance "a king duvet, six sheets and four towels", with your Oud Metha building or house, its number and a pin.
2. We reply with a pickup slot and a return day.
3. Pack: each duvet goes rolled into its own bag, while sheets and towels can share.
4. Free collection at your door, or at reception where your building has a desk.
5. WhatsApp updates follow until the delivery.

A single, double, queen or king duvet or comforter is AED 56, though the two are handled differently.

• Duvet: the padded inner. Its cover is charged separately and washed apart.
• Comforter: quilted right across, usually patterned, with no cover needed. Each stitched section dries at its own pace, so we test them one by one.
• Blanket: AED 26 for a regular size, more for larger ones.
• Bedcover: AED 29. It lies over the whole bed, so dust settles on it and a shamal wind brings sand. Tell us about beads, tassels or fringe.

A split seam or stuffing poking out? Send a photo and we will tell you whether it is safe to wash.

In hot weather the sheets and pillowcases go through the wash far more often than the duvet, so they wear out first.

• Sheets are AED 25 each, flat or fitted. Fitted sheets should be turned inside out, as stray socks tend to cling inside.
• Pillowcases are AED 9. Face cream and hair oil sink into cotton and can leave greasy patches, so show us where they are.
• Pillows are AED 19 each. Press one flat and release: when it stays flat the filling is spent and washing will not restore it. Keep memory foam dry.
• Mattress protectors are AED 35. Heat can ruin a waterproof backing, so send us the label on WhatsApp first.

Sending bedding from several bedrooms? List how many sets come from each bedroom so we can tick them off on return.

A towel is AED 7 and a bathrobe AED 19. Soap left behind makes towels scratchy, so every one is rinsed twice and dried right through.

• Pool towels: send them straight after swimming; a damp towel kept in a bag overnight turns smelly.
• Gym towels: hand towels from the gym hold moisture, so hang them up to dry a while first.
• Bathrobes: the collar is the thickest part and dries last, so it gets a second check. Keep the belt tucked in a pocket.
• Sofa covers: AED 46 each for a regular zip-off cover. Note which cushion each cover fits and shake off pet hair first.
• Tablecloths: AED 19. If something was spilled, say what it was (juice, oil or a sauce) once it has dried.

In the bag, keep damp towels away from your duvet. Moisture moves into the filling quickly in a humid summer.

No machine can wash the following safely, so they need to stay at home in Oud Metha:

• Electric blankets and anything with a plug or wiring.
• Weighted blankets filled with glass or plastic beads.
• Memory foam toppers and pillows.

Drying is the slowest stage of duvet and comforter laundering. Covers dry fast but the filling lags: down, feather and polyester keep water deep inside for hours. A duvet put away slightly damp goes musty, even in an air-conditioned room.

• 48 to 72 hours: thick bedding from Oud Metha stays this long so the core dries as well as the surface.
