Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery in Al Karama

Each bag collected in Al Karama follows the same path.

• Pockets first: we take out coins, cards, receipts and pens. A single leaking pen can spoil a full load.
• Sorting: whites and pale colours wash together, and so do darks and denim. Lace and mesh go on a cooler cycle.
• Stain treatment: coffee, make-up and sweat marks get attention before the wash, as hot drying can fix them in place.
• Washing: hypoallergenic, biodegradable detergent and a good rinse, so the clothes smell clean rather than scented.
• Drying: on low heat, so cotton keeps its size and elastic keeps its stretch.
• Folding: by hand, with a last look at each piece, before the bag goes back to Al Karama.

Clothes you would hang, such as work shirts and kanduras, belong in Clean & Press.

1. WhatsApp us your building name and flat number, plus a location pin. No app is needed.
2. Pack the bag with everyday clothes. Empty the pockets, because one stray tissue ends up on everything, and put your name and flat on the bag.
3. Hand it over: leave it by your door, or at the front desk if your building has one. The driver collects it free.
4. We wash, dry and fold it.
5. It comes back: a message tells you the driver is heading to Al Karama, and delivery costs nothing.

Work shirts as well? Pack those in a second bag for Clean & Press and name them in the booking. The same driver takes both.

Anything your own washing machine could handle can go in. Skip items marked do not wash or hand wash only. A typical bag from an Al Karama flat might have:

• Gym kit: leggings, running shorts, sports tops and socks.
• Everyday tops: T-shirts and polos that are never hung.
• Weekend wear: hoodies, joggers and jeans, with dark jeans turned inside out.
• Summer pieces: light dresses, linen shirts and cotton tops, which are washed often in Dubai's humid summers.
• Swimwear: rinse it in fresh water before it goes in.
• Kids' clothes: uniforms, pyjamas and play clothes, with the zips closed.

The bag takes everyday clothes only. We clean all of the items below too, at their own prices. Put them in the same booking and one driver takes everything from your Al Karama door.

• Work shirts, suits, kanduras and abayas: Clean & Press prices each piece and returns it hung.
• Silk, wool, sequins and beads: choose dry cleaning, because water may harm them.
• Towels: these are in Bed & Bath, priced each.
• Underwired bras and hand-wash knits: please keep these at home. A photo of a puzzling label is welcome.
• Curtains, rugs and trainers: each has a service of its own, higher up this page.

Nothing from Al Karama goes into a machine before it is sorted. Here is what we watch for.

• Bleeding dye: new denim and strong cotton colours can run at first, so we keep them from whites.
• Rough pieces: jeans and heavy zips can scuff thin fabric, so they get their own wash.
• One customer per machine: your load is never mixed with anyone else's, and each drum is sanitised before the next load.
• Detergent: commercial-grade, hypoallergenic and biodegradable. Gym kit gets a long rinse, because sweat sits in the seams.
• Drying: too much heat shrinks cotton and loosens elastic, so we dry gently and feel the waistbands, cuffs and seams before folding.
• The last look: a loose button or a stain that stayed means a WhatsApp from us.

Al Karama is on our normal Dubai rounds, and every building gets free collection and delivery.

• Tell us: your building name, flat number and a pin. The streets run on a grid, and the pin shows the driver which block is yours.
• Landmarks that help: ADCB metro station on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road, BurJuman at the western edge, Karama Park and Karama Market.
• Handover: outside your flat door, or at the front desk if there is one.

A budget-friendly wash and fold plan makes sense if you send out a bag most weeks, because a bag on a plan costs less than a one-off order. The driver arrives on the same day each week, so there is nothing to rebook.

• Essential: four bags a month, one a week, for AED 250. A good size for one or two people.
• Family: eight bags a month, two a week, for AED 450. That covers school uniforms, sports kit and work clothes.
• No plan: a single bag is AED 65, booked whenever you like.

Al Karama is on our 24-hour return, so a bag collected here normally comes home the next day.

For a same-day laundry service, book before 2 PM and ask for express laundry delivery. The bag is back 5 hours after pickup, if your address is covered. Ask in the chat if you are unsure.

• Point to the mark: make-up on a scarf, tea on a sleeve, ketchup on a school top. Say where it is.
• Say what you used: if you tried a spray, bleach or hot water, let us know, as they can set a mark.
• Air gym kit first: if it is packed damp, it goes sour in the heat. An hour on a hanger helps.

The price shown for a shirt is the whole price, with no extras for stain treatment, hangers or covers.

• On arrival: we count each piece against your list, read the care label and note any loose buttons.
• Marks: treated by hand before heat touches the cloth.
• Cleaning: a cool wash for cotton shirts so they hold their size, and whatever the label asks for on finer cloth.
• Drying: pieces hang in filtered air with no tumble dryer, so sleeves keep their length.
• Steaming: we start with collar and cuffs, then do the front, back and sleeves.
• Finishing: three checks, a cover, and the drive back to Al Karama.

1. Make a list, such as "six shirts, a suit and two kanduras", with your building, flat and the creases you prefer, sharp or soft.
2. Use two bags: one for clothes that hang, one for washing that folds.
3. Hand over: outside your door, or at the front desk where your building has one. Collection is free.
4. Piece by piece: each item is finished before we start the next.
5. Return: usually the next day, on hangers and under a cover that breathes.

Clothes that look better hanging are the ones to send. In an Al Karama wardrobe, that tends to mean:

• Work shirts in poplin, oxford or twill, with the collar done first.
• Linen shirts and trousers, which crease fast and need steam to smooth.
• Blouses and skirts in viscose or crepe, which crumple easily.
• Suits and chinos in wool or cotton mixes. We steam jackets on a form to keep the lapels flat.
• Kanduras and thobes in white cotton or blends, smoothed down the front.
• Ghutras, laid flat on a table. You fold yours the way you like.
• Abayas and jalabiyas. Georgette and crepe get steam only, which keeps black even and deep. Ask us on WhatsApp about a shayla.
• Kurta sets, kept together as a pair.

• Already clean, but creased? Pressing smooths them without a second wash.
• Silk, lace, heavy wool, beads or sequins? Water can ruin these, so choose dry cleaning.
• Just T-shirts, socks, gym kit and pyjamas? A Wash & Fold bag fits those.

A photo of the care label on WhatsApp is enough if you are unsure. We reply before the driver arrives in Al Karama.

Heat on a care label is shown with dots, and our steamer stays below the limit they give. Three dots allows about 200°C, which is fine for cotton and linen. Two dots is closer to 150°C, for wool, silk and polyester blends. A single dot, near 110°C, covers synthetics like acrylic. A crossed-out symbol means steam only.

• Black and dark cloth: plate heat can leave it shiny, so black abayas and dark trousers are steamed only.
• Collars and cuffs: they take longer, since they show first.
• Your crease: crisp, soft or none, or flat to fit a suitcase. It stays on your file for next time.
• Covers: plastic traps damp in summer humidity. Ours let air through on the way back to Al Karama.

Collecting hanging clothes is free anywhere in Al Karama, as it is for each of our services.

• Needed: building name, flat number and a pin.
• Handy landmarks: ADCB metro station, BurJuman, Karama Park and the Dubai Central Post Office.
• Close by: we also collect free in Za'abeel.

Clothes collected in Al Karama usually return the next day, in line with our 24-hour target across most of Dubai. Delicate cloth can take longer. It depends on the piece, and we tell you the time at pickup.

If you need a shirt this evening, book before 2 PM. Where we cover your address, express brings it home 5 hours after collection. Send your building name and we will confirm.

Let us know about any of these when you book in Al Karama.

• Drinks and food: tea, coffee, sauce or wine. Tell us what spilled.
• Make-up: foundation and lipstick on collars. Point to the spot.
• Sweat: Dubai summers turn white collars and kandura necklines yellow, and fresh marks are easier to clear.
• Deodorant: white streaks on dark cloth and yellow patches on pale cloth need different treatment.
• Perfume oil or oud: a few drops can mark white or cream cotton. Say where, and which oil if you know.

One price covers collection from your Al Karama flat, the wash and the return. Our bed linen wash and fold returns sheets and pillowcases folded, clean and fully dry. They get the same care as a duvet, but they dry far sooner.

• Inspection: we check corners and seams and look for any stain you told us about.
• A drum of its own: only your bedding goes in, and a duvet gets space so the water reaches the centre.
• Gentle detergent: hypoallergenic and biodegradable. That counts on pillowcases, where your face rests all night.
• Drying: covers dry well before fillings, so we feel the filling by hand and never go by the timer alone.
• Packing: only when dry, folded and bagged for the drive back to Al Karama.

A duvet cover is AED 31. It comes off and is washed on its own cycle, apart from the duvet.

1. List what you have, such as "one king duvet, a pair of pillows and some bath towels", with your building, flat number and a pin.
2. Confirmation: we reply with a pickup time and your return day.
3. Packing: roll a duvet into its own bag. Sheets and towels can share another.
4. Handover: free from your door, or from the front desk if your building has one.
5. Progress: messages on WhatsApp until it is home again.

You can write to us at any hour. If guests arrive tomorrow, book tonight so the spare sheets are ready.

Any size from single to king, a duvet or comforter costs AED 56. We handle the two types a little differently.

• Duvet: the soft filling that goes inside a cover. The cover is priced and washed apart.
• Comforter: quilted, and used with no cover. Quilted sections dry at different speeds, so we feel each one before packing.
• Blanket: AED 26 in a standard size. Bigger ones cost more.
• Bedcover: AED 29. Lying on top of the bed, it collects the most dust, and the shamal wind in Dubai brings fine desert sand that settles on beds. Mention tassels, beads or fringe.

If a seam has split or filling is escaping, send a photo before booking and we will tell you if washing is safe.

Heat means sheets and pillowcases are laundered much more often than duvets, so they wear out first.

• Sheets are AED 25, flat or fitted. Fitted ones go in inside out, as small items hide in corners.
• Pillowcases are AED 9. Greasy patches from hair oil, face cream or make-up are common. Point them out, and don't scrub.
• Pillows are AED 19 each. A wash can't revive one that is flat and lumpy, and memory foam must never get wet.
• Mattress protectors are AED 35. Strong heat can spoil the waterproof layer, so photograph the care label for us first.

Bedding from several bedrooms? Label which set came from which room.

A towel is AED 7 and a bathrobe is AED 19. Soap trapped in the loops leaves a towel stiff, which is why our towel laundry service rinses twice and dries fully.

• Bath towels: book soon after use, because a towel left damp in a shut bag turns smelly overnight.
• Gym towels: sweat keeps them wet. Hang them on a rail until dry before packing.
• Bathrobes: the collar is the thickest part and dries last, so we feel it twice. A loose knot in the belt keeps robe and belt together.
• Sofa covers: AED 46 for a standard cover that zips off. Say which cushion each cover belongs to, and shake off any pet fur.
• Tablecloths: AED 19. Tell us what was spilt, such as tea or wine, and blot it rather than rub.

Don't pack wet towels with a duvet. In humid air the filling soaks up the moisture.

Please leave these out of a bedding order from Al Karama, as a washing machine would damage them:

• Electric blankets, heated throws and anything with a cable.
• Weighted blankets with beads sewn in.
• Memory foam pillows and toppers.
• Anything labelled do not wash. If you are not sure, send a photo of the label and we will answer before pickup.

Clothes need their own booking. Jeans and T-shirts fold, so they suit Wash & Fold. Hanging pieces such as shirts and abayas suit Clean & Press. Put each in its own bag and one driver takes the lot. For bedding care tips, see our home linen guide.

For duvet and comforter laundering, most of the time goes on drying. Covers dry quickly. Down, feather and polyester filling can stay wet for hours, and damp left in the centre makes a duvet smell musty in the cupboard.

• 2 to 3 days: heavy bedding needs that long for its middle to dry, not only its edges.
• Return day: confirmed in the chat after you book.
