Think of the bag as a small suitcase of worn clothes. Up to 6kg takes roughly a week of T-shirts, shorts, underwear, socks, gym kit and a couple of pairs of jeans. Staying longer than planned? Book another bag whenever you like. A second bag costs the same as the first, and the driver comes back to the hotel for it. If your washing is heavier, the 12kg bag is there for that.

Booking a hotel laundry pickup takes a few minutes, and most of it happens in one chat.

1. Send a message. Tell us you are at Sofitel Dubai Downtown and pick a time that suits you.
2. Hand over the bag. The driver meets you at the lobby, or the concierge takes it if the hotel allows that.
3. Pay the link. After the driver checks your items, we text you a secure payment link.
4. Get it back. Once it is paid, your clothes go out for delivery, usually within 24 hours.

Dubai is hot and humid for much of the year, so you may change clothes more than once a day, and a bag fills faster than you expect.

Everything is washed with a mild, biodegradable detergent, so it is gentle on skin too, and the light scent will not follow you around the hotel.

Some clothes need a different process, and the bag is not the right place for them. Silk, beaded pieces, suits and anything marked dry clean only should go to Clean & Press, where each piece is handled one at a time and returned on a hanger.

If you are unsure about a piece, send a photo of the care label on WhatsApp and we will say which service fits. It is better to ask first than to find out after the wash.

We read care labels before anything goes in a machine. Sturdy cottons get a normal wash, and delicates and darker colours get a gentler one. Each group is dried on a low heat, which keeps colours from running and cotton from shrinking.

If a label says do not tumble dry, tell us when you book and we will dry that piece gently. Items with no care label at all are cleaned at the owner's risk, so it is worth checking before you hand them over. The same goes for anything already damaged.

Plan the bag like you plan a taxi. Most orders are back within 24 hours, so a bag handed over in the morning is usually back the next day, which makes this a dependable next-day laundry service for a stay of several nights. Staying a few weeks in one of the hotel's studio or one-bedroom apartments? A monthly plan can save you booking each time. The Essential plan is AED 250 a month for one bag every week. The Family plan is AED 450 a month for two bags every week.

A single bag is AED 65, which is the better choice for a stay of a few days. Plans are set up on WhatsApp, and pickup and delivery stay free on every collection. You can ask us which one fits before you commit to anything.

Holiday clothes pick up marks that office clothes do not. Sun cream leaves a yellow patch on collars, sand hides in pockets and sauces from a long lunch land on a white top. Tell us what a mark is and where it sits, and we will treat it by hand before the wash.

We cannot promise every mark will lift, and we will tell you if one stays. Marks that have been through a hot wash are harder to shift, which is another reason to tell us early.

Each piece goes through the same short routine. A person checks it for marks and reads the care label, then it is cleaned the way the label asks and dried gently. Then it is steamed by hand, not pushed through a machine, and finished with a final check before it goes into a cover.

We press men's and women's shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts and basic dresses. Suits are priced as a two-piece set, and a jacket can be done on its own. Traditional pieces include the kandura, ghutra, abaya, jalabiya and men's kurta.

Winter coats are on the list too, which helps if you fly on somewhere cooler. Everything is priced by the item, so you can see what the order will cost before you send it.

Hung clothes travel best when they stay hung. Bring them down on the hanger from your wardrobe, or lay them flat over your arm, and meet the driver at the lobby. If you would rather leave them with the concierge, check with the hotel first that this is allowed.

When the schedule is tight, message us as soon as you know the time.

Collars and cuffs show wear first, and make-up and coffee are the usual culprits. Point them out in your message and we treat them by hand before cleaning. We cannot guarantee every mark lifts, and we will say so when one does not. Tell us what caused it, because that helps us choose how to treat it.

Traditional wear is routine work for us. A kandura is cleaned, steamed and hung so the front and sleeves stay flat. A ghutra is pressed flat to keep its shape, and an abaya is handled according to its fabric. Basic and delicate abayas have separate prices, so tell us which you have.

Send pieces for the same event together and they come back together, hung and covered, so nothing is crushed on the way to the occasion.
