Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery at The Dubai EDITION

You do not count pieces. Whatever fits in the bag, within its size, is sorted, washed, dried and folded for one price. Here is what happens inside.

• Sorted first. Whites, darks and bright colours are washed in separate loads, so a new dark T-shirt from the mall cannot stain a white shirt.
• Washed to the label. Cotton marked 40°C gets 40°C, and sportswear and synthetics go in cooler.
• Dried as the label allows. Items marked for the tumble dryer are tumbled. Items marked otherwise are dried gently.
• Folded for the case. Tops are folded flat, socks are paired, and the stack goes back in the bag.

It is an affordable laundry service for a stay of a few nights or a few weeks. Pickup and return cost nothing, and the price you see is the price you pay.

Message us on WhatsApp with the name of The Dubai EDITION, the bag size and a time. The driver meets you in the lobby, or collects from the concierge if the hotel allows it. Please ask the front desk first, because the hotel decides what it will hold for outside services.

Hand over without fuss. The driver checks the items with you, and then we text a secure payment link. You pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. There is no cash or card payment in the lobby, and the clothes go out for delivery once you have paid.

That is contactless pickup and delivery from start to finish, and it is hotel laundry pickup that never needs a room bill.

A bag does not have to be a plain stack of T-shirts. These are the pieces guests most often put in it.

• Kit from the fitness centre. Leggings, vests and sports socks wash well together at a cool setting.
• Swimwear. A swimsuit that has met chlorine or sun cream is washed cool and dried gently.
• Day clothes. Polo shirts, shorts, light trousers and linen shirts that you do not need pressed.
• Underwear and socks. They go in the same bag and come back folded.

If a piece is delicate, say so before the driver leaves.

One tip: put socks, underwear and small items loose in the bag, not in a pile of pockets, so nothing gets left behind in a machine.

The bag is for ordinary washables. Some pieces are better handled another way, and a quick message will sort it out.

• Suits, jackets and ties. These belong in Clean & Press, where they are cleaned and pressed on hangers.
• Evening dresses with beads or sequins. Send them for the careful process instead.
• Kanduras and abayas. They have their own prices, so list them separately.
• Anything without a care label. We clean it, but at your own risk, since we cannot see how it was made.

Items that are already damaged are cleaned at the owner's risk too, so show the driver any weak spots when you hand over.

If you are not sure where a piece belongs, send a photo of its care label in the chat before the driver arrives, and we will tell you which service suits it best.

Most bags are back within 24 hours. That is our next-day laundry service for guests who hand over in the morning and fly out the day after.

Delicate pieces in a bag can take longer, and we tell you before the driver leaves.

Your flight or check-out time is the best thing to tell us. We plan the pickup around it and say honestly if the timing is tight. It is far easier to help when we know the deadline at the start than when the driver is already at the door.

Dubai heat means more laundry than most guests expect. A few small habits help the bag come back better.

• Tie damp swimwear in a separate bag. It keeps the smell off the rest of your clothes.
• Mention sunscreen marks. Cream on collars and straps shows up yellow if left, so tell the driver.
• Empty the pockets. Cards, coins and tissues cause real trouble in a machine.
• Shake out the sand. A beach day leaves grit that is best tipped out before packing.

Our detergent is mild and hypoallergenic, so it is gentle on skin as well as fabric.

If you have been out in the sun, pack the damp things separately and let us know which ones, so they are washed first and do not sit for long.

If you are in town for weeks, a plan may cost less than single bags. Essential means one bag a week at AED 250 per month. Family means two bags a week at AED 450 per month. One 6kg bag on its own is AED 65.

You pay only through a secure link that we text to you after the driver has looked over the items with you. Debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work. Once the payment goes through, your clothes are sent back out.

Should anything go missing or come back damaged, our cover is up to 10 times the cleaning price of that item. An item that was already damaged, or that has no care label, is cleaned at the owner's risk.

LPlaundry is separate from the hotel and its group, so claims come to us, not to the hotel. If you are worried about a piece, say so when the driver arrives.

Every item is looked at on its own and never tipped in with a pile. This is what each piece gets.

• Checked first. We read the label and look for marks before any cleaning starts.
• Washed or cleaned to suit. The fabric decides the process, from a cool-water wash to a gentler method.
• Steamed by hand. Creases come out without a hot press crushing delicate cloth.
• Returned on a hanger. Pieces come back hung in breathable covers, not folded in a bag.

Pickup and return are free, and standard timing is 24 hours.

1. Message us The Dubai EDITION, your list and the day of the meeting.
2. Lay the suit flat or hang it up. Creases do not matter, because we press them out.
3. Hand it to the driver in the lobby, who checks it with you.
4. It returns on a hanger, usually within 24 hours.

For express suit pressing, book before 2 PM and ask. The earliest return is 5 hours, if your address is covered.

Clean & Press covers most of what a guest brings for work or an event. Every price is in the table above.

• Shirts and blouses. Each shirt is AED 18, cleaned and pressed.
• Suits and jackets. A two-piece suit is cleaned as a set so the shade matches.
• Dresses. Basic dresses and evening dresses have separate prices.
• Kanduras and abayas. A kandura is AED 15, and an abaya is basic or delicate.
• Trousers, skirts and coats. Each is listed on its own line, and winter coats are priced separately.

Send one list for everything and we add it up for you.

Some guests send only one or two pieces, and that is fine too. A single shirt or a single dress is priced like any other item.

Pieces on the list but not in the table, such as a waistcoat or a scarf, are priced from the same price list, and we confirm the cost in the chat before the driver collects. Nothing is added after you have paid.

Beaded, sequined or lace pieces take the longer delicate process. How long depends on the piece, so tell us when you book and we give you an honest return time at pickup. If something has no care label, we clean it at your own risk.

Leather trims, heavy beading, delicate lace and anything with a special print can need the longer process. If you are unsure, send a photo in the chat first.

If an evening is on your calendar, hand over the dress or suit a day early. Do not leave it until the morning of the event, because delicate pieces can take longer.

Tell us the date and the time you need it by. Pieces are returned on hangers in covers, so they can go straight from the The Dubai EDITION lobby to the car without needing another press.

Weddings and galas often need several pieces at once, such as a suit, a tie and a dress, so send the whole list in one message. We write the price for each item before the driver leaves.

The safest way to a smooth evening is a day of margin. Pieces that come back early are easy to hang up, while a late piece is hard to fix.

For a wedding party, send everyone's pieces together under one booking, and the driver collects them in one trip. Each person's items are tagged, so nothing is mixed up on the way back.

Hang the clothes on their hangers and carry them down together. The driver checks each item with you, and the hanger stays with the clothes.

Tip: keep hangers on the garments rather than carrying them folded. The driver takes them as they are, hung, and brings them back the same way, in covers. A tie goes on the suit's hanger.

Tell the driver what a mark is and roughly when it happened. Coffee and sweat lines are treated by hand before cleaning, and so is makeup on a collar. Some marks do not lift fully, and we will say so before you pay.

The sooner a mark is treated, the better it lifts. Tell us if it is old. Do not rub it or wash it in the sink first, because that can set the mark into the cloth.

A kandura is AED 15 and is steamed by hand, then returned on a hanger. Tell us if it is starched, and we follow your note. An abaya is basic or delicate, and the delicate rate suits beads and lace.

Ghutras, jalabiyas and kurtas are on the price table too, each as its own item, so you can see the cost before you book.
