Every bag from Umm Suqeim gets the same care, whether it is big or small. We don't hurry a heavy bag, and we don't skip any checks on a light one. Here is what happens to it.

• Pockets: coins, tissues, pens and hair ties come out first. One stray pen can mark a whole load.
• Sorting: whites go with whites, darks with darks, and delicates are washed on a cooler setting.

A red top washed with a white shirt can spoil both. That is why the bag is split into groups before any water touches it, and each group gets its own wash. It is a quiet job, but it saves your clothes more than anything else we do.

• Darks: jeans, black leggings and navy school trousers stay apart, so the dye stays where it belongs.
• Delicates: lace, mesh and stretch fabrics get a cooler, softer cycle.

Tell us if a piece is new, because new dark clothes often shed dye in the first few washes. We will keep it with the darks and wash it cool.

Sunset Beach is close to Umm Suqeim 3, so swimsuits and sports kit turn up in plenty of bags. They all go in with your usual washing, and each piece gets the wash that suits it best. Nothing needs to be rinsed or dried before it goes in.

• Swimwear: a cool wash, so the stretch lasts and the colours hold.
• Gym kit: washed gently and dried on low heat, because high heat ruins stretch fabric.
• Rash vests and cover-ups: they join the swimwear load.
• Beach towels: shake out the loose sand before bagging, and the machine rinses out whatever is left.

Don't worry about a damp swimsuit at the bottom of the bag. We will spot it when we sort.

The same goes for kids' swim kit after a day at the shore. It all goes in one bag, and none of it needs separating before we collect.

Two bag sizes cover most homes. A 6kg bag is AED 65 and a 12kg bag is AED 120. Neither one is charged by the item, so you never need to count what goes in. The right size depends on how many people live in your home and how often you book.

• 6kg bag: a good fit for one or two people, or for a quick mid-week wash.
• 12kg bag: better for a family, or for the big wash after a holiday.
• Two small bags: fine too, if you like to keep darks and lights apart.

If you are unsure, pack the 6kg bag until it is comfortably full and book a second one for the rest.

A normal week in Umm Suqeim means school uniforms, work clothes and a few things that need a lighter touch. Here is how we treat each kind, so you know what to put in the bag and what to keep for Clean & Press.

• School uniforms: grass and playground marks are treated before washing, and polo shirts come back folded.
• Work clothes: casual shirts and trousers can go in the bag. Smart shirts do better on hangers, so choose Clean & Press for those.
• Delicates: silk blouses, lace and fine knits are washed on a cool, gentle setting.
• Care labels: we read every one. A label that says dry clean only means that piece goes to Clean & Press instead.

Whatever is in the bag, the aim is the same: it comes back looking like you would want it to, with nothing shrunk, faded or lost.

Dubai summers are hard on clothes. Daytime highs go above 43 degrees in July and August, and the humidity often tops 90 percent. Sweat dries into the fabric, and damp clothes left in a basket turn sour very quickly, especially in a warm flat or a hot car boot.

• Don't let it sit: a sweaty T-shirt is much easier to clean the same week than the next one.
• Keep the bag dry: close it and leave it by your door until the driver arrives.
• Tell us about marks: deodorant and sweat rings are treated before the wash.

Cleaner clothes also feel cooler against the skin on the hottest days.

If your balcony or building has no good place to dry clothes, a bag collected from your door saves a lot of trouble in the warm months.

If you wash every week, a plan costs less per bag than a one-off. A single 6kg bag is AED 65. The Essential plan is AED 250 a month for four bags, one a week. The Family plan is AED 450 a month for eight bags, two a week. Both are paid once a month, with free pickup and delivery.

• Essential: suits one or two people, with a bag collected each week.
• Family: suits larger households with plenty of school and sports kit.
• Booking: ask for a plan on WhatsApp and we set up your pickup day for Umm Suqeim.

You can still book a one-off bag whenever you need one.

Plans are paid monthly, and we agree the pickup day with you when you start, so the driver arrives at a time you can plan around.

Booking takes a minute on WhatsApp, and there is no app to install. It also gives you contactless pickup and delivery, so the driver can collect from outside your door and you needn't be home with the bag in your hand.

• Send: your Umm Suqeim address or location pin, and the time that suits you.
• Leave: the bag at your door, or at the front desk if your building has one.
• Receive: your laundry back within 24 hours across most of Dubai.
• Express: 5 hours if you book before 2 PM and we cover your address. Ask us first.

Clean and press is for the clothes you want to look sharp, not just feel fresh. We take each piece and treat it separately from the bag service, so it gets the attention a smart garment needs.

• Check: we read the care label and look for marks, loose buttons and fragile trims.
• Clean: a cool-water wash suits most fabrics, using gentle detergent.
• Dry: slowly, so the fabric does not shrink or stiffen.
• Press: steamed by hand from collar to hem, then hung straight away.

Your Umm Suqeim order comes back covered and on hangers, so it can go straight into the wardrobe.

A good shirt is all about the collar and cuffs. Those are the first places to show wear, so we check them before anything else. A shirt costs AED 18, and it comes back on a hanger with its buttons counted.

• Collars: sweat marks are treated before washing.
• Cuffs: pressed flat and crisp.
• Buttons: counted on the way in and checked again on the way out.

Blouses, trousers and skirts get the same attention.

Send a few shirts at a time, or the whole week's worth. The price for each is the same, so there is no penalty for sending only two.

Traditional clothes are a big part of what we clean for customers in Umm Suqeim. Each piece is washed to suit its fabric, then steamed and hung. Nothing is folded unless you ask for it.

• Kandura: AED 15. Tell us about collar or cuff marks so we can treat them first.
• Ghutra: washed gently and steamed flat.
• Abaya: a basic abaya and a delicate one are priced differently. Say which you have, and mention any beading or embroidery.
• Jalabiya and kurta: long pieces are hung, never folded, so they keep a clean line.

For anything unusual, a quick message with a photo helps us give you a straight answer on the best way to clean it.

Every piece is checked again before it leaves us, so the collar, hem and cuffs look right when you take it out of the cover.

Suits, silk and wool need careful handling. We choose a cleaning method to suit the fabric. Each jacket is pressed with attention to the shoulders and the collar, so the shape holds after a day in the office.

Wool, silk and structured jackets are cleaned gently and hung straight away, which stops creases from setting in.

A stain on a favourite piece can feel like the end of it. Often it is not, as long as the right treatment comes first, before the garment gets any heat.

• Tell us what it is: coffee, oil, ink and make-up each need a different approach.
• Say how old it is: a fresh mark is easier to shift than one that has already been through a wash.
• Don't rub it: rubbing pushes the mark deeper into the fibres.
• Keep it cool: heat from a dryer can set it for good.

We treat marks by hand before the main clean. Some old marks won't shift completely, and we will tell you if that is the case rather than promise too much.

If a mark is still faintly visible after cleaning, we say so when we return the piece. It is better to know than to be surprised later.

Pressed clothes are only as good as the way they travel. Everything from Umm Suqeim goes back on a hanger, inside a breathable cover. It is never squashed into a bag with other things.

• Shirts: one to a hanger, buttoned at the top.
• Long pieces: hung at full length, so there is no fold line.
• Delivery: free, to your door or the front desk if your building has one.

If you need to carry something home from the front desk yourself, the cover makes it easy. Hang the pieces up as soon as you can.

Most clean and press orders come back within 24 hours across Dubai. Delicate pieces such as silk, beaded abayas and heavy suits can take longer, because they need slower drying and more care. How long depends on the piece, and we tell you at pickup.

• Ask first: send a photo and a short description in the chat.
• We quote: you get the price before we collect anything.

That way there are no surprises when the bill arrives.

We would rather quote clearly than guess, so ask about anything unusual before the pickup.

Duvet and comforter laundering is the job most homes in Umm Suqeim can't manage well. A duvet soaks up a lot of water and needs real room to dry. A home machine rarely has the drum size, and the damp middle can stay damp for days. A duvet cover is AED 31.

• Covers: washed with your sheets, then folded.
• Duvets: washed in a large machine and dried through to the centre.
• Comforters: quilted ones get the same slow dry, so the filling stays even.
• Time: bulky pieces take 48 to 72 hours in Dubai.

Tell us the bed size when you book, so we can quote the right price. A clean duvet makes the whole bed feel new, and you will notice it the first night.

If a duvet has not been cleaned for a long time, it can feel heavier than you remember. That is normal, and it goes away once it has been washed and dried through.

Sheets are washed hot enough to freshen them and dried fully before folding. Pillowcases are washed with them, so a whole set comes back together and matches.

• Flat and fitted: both are priced the same.
• Pillowcases: counted in and counted out, so none go missing.
• Folded: a clean set is ready for the bed straight away.

Sheets that are washed often last longer, so a regular weekly set is a good habit. Book a repeat pickup if you like the rhythm.

Thick throws and bedcovers take more drying than any other piece, which is why they take longer to come back. A standard blanket is AED 26, a bedcover is AED 29 and a duvet is AED 56. It is all bulky item washing, done in large machines.

• Blankets: washed alone, whether cotton or fleece.
• Bedcovers: checked for loose threads and trims first.
• Drying: slow and thorough, which is why bulky bedding takes longer.

Bigger blankets cost more, and we will confirm the price before collecting.

Because these pieces take longer, we suggest sending them early in the week if you need them back by the weekend.

Pillows go flat and heavy over time, and a home machine rarely gets them properly clean. A pillow is AED 19, a pillowcase is AED 9, a mattress protector is AED 35 and a bedsheet is AED 25.

• Pillows: washed in a large machine and dried slowly.
• Mattress covers: washed gently, so the backing is not damaged.
• Together: send them with your sheets for a whole bed refresh in one go.

Clean pillows and covers are a simple way to make a bed feel fresh, even when the sheets are already new.

Towels go stiff when they are washed too often at home with too much detergent. We wash them apart from clothes and dry them well, so they come back soft and absorbent. A towel is AED 7 and a bathrobe is AED 19.

• Bath towels: soft and fully dry, and folded.
• Bathrobes: washed with the towels, then folded.
• Sofa covers: a regular one is AED 46.
• Table cloths: AED 19.

Beach days leave their mark. Umm Suqeim 3 sits right on the water, and towels often come home sandy and stained with sun cream. Both are easy to deal with if you know what to do before the wash.

• Sand: shake it off outside before bagging, so it does not end up all over your hallway.
• Sun cream: tell us if there is a lot of it on a towel, and we will treat it first.
• Salt: a full wash removes it completely.

One more tip: keep a spare towel in the car for the beach, so the sandy one goes straight in the bag when you are home.
