Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery in Silicon Oasis

Every bag from Silicon Oasis follows the same path, whatever kind of home it left.

1. We empty the pockets. Coins, cards, lip balm and receipts come out, because a stray pen can mark the whole drum.
2. Whites and pale colours go in one load, darks and denim in another. Lace and mesh get a cooler setting.
3. Coffee, make-up and sweat marks are treated before the wash. If they met dryer heat first, they could set.
4. The wash is gentle, with hypoallergenic, biodegradable detergent and a thorough rinse. Nothing smells strongly of perfume afterwards.
5. A low-heat dry stops cotton shrinking and keeps elastic bouncy.
6. Each piece is folded by hand and looked at once more, then the bag is packed and driven back to you.

Work shirts and kanduras, which you would hang up, should go in Clean & Press instead.

Booking takes a couple of minutes and there is no app.

• Step one, message us. Send a pin, the name of your building or villa street, and your flat or villa number.
• Step two, pack. Put in everyday clothes only, and check the pockets, since one tissue can leave lint on a whole load. Write your name and flat number on the bag.
• Step three, hand over. We collect from your door at no charge. If your building has a concierge, they can hold it for us.
• Step four, we do the washing. Sorted, washed, dried and folded.
• Step five, it comes home. A WhatsApp message tells you when the driver is on the way to Silicon Oasis. Delivery costs nothing either.

A good test is your machine at home: if it would go in there, it can go in our bag. Leave out anything labelled do not wash or hand wash only. In a typical Silicon Oasis bag you might see:

• Sports kit. Leggings, shorts, running tops and socks.
• Relaxed work clothes. Polo shirts and T-shirts that do not need to hang.
• Off-duty clothes. Jeans, joggers and hoodies. Dark jeans go in inside out.
• Summer clothes. Light cotton tops, linen shirts and dresses. With days above 38°C they are worn and washed a lot.
• Swimwear. Swimsuits and trunks, rinsed in fresh water first.
• Kids' clothes. School uniform, pyjamas and play clothes, with the zips done up.

The wash and fold bag takes everyday clothes only. We look after the pieces below as well, but they are priced on their own. Book them together and a single pickup from your Silicon Oasis home covers everything.

• Work shirts, suits, kanduras and abayas go to Clean & Press, priced per piece and returned on hangers.
• Silk, wool, sequins and beads need dry cleaning, as water can ruin them.
• Bath and gym towels are part of Bed & Bath, with a price for each.
• Knitwear you wash by hand and bras with underwires are best left out. Not sure about a label? A photo on WhatsApp is enough.
• Curtains, rugs and trainers have their own sections higher up the page.

Before a load from Silicon Oasis goes into a machine, we sort it with a few things in mind.

• Bleeding dyes. New jeans and bright cotton can run for their first few washes, so they never go in with whites.
• Heavy and light. Denim and strong zips can rub thin fabrics, so we wash them separately.
• Your own machine. Each customer's clothes go in alone, never with anyone else's.
• A sanitised drum. It is cleaned before the next customer's load.
• The detergent. It is commercial-grade, hypoallergenic and biodegradable. Sweat stays in the seams of gym kit, so that gets a longer rinse.
• The dryer. Too much heat shrinks cotton and stretches elastic. Before we fold, we check cuffs, waistbands and seams are completely dry.
• Anything odd. If a button is loose or a mark would not shift, we message you on WhatsApp.

Silicon Oasis is a regular stop on our Dubai rounds, and pickup and delivery cost nothing wherever you are in it.

• Towers. Tell us the tower, your flat number and drop a pin.
• Villas. There are two villa communities, Semmer Villas and Cedre Villas. Give us your street and villa number.
• Student buildings. Send the building name and your room or flat number.
• The handover. Leave the bag at your door, or with the concierge where your building has one.
• Close by. International City has free pickup as well.

Sending a bag nearly every week from Silicon Oasis? A budget-friendly wash and fold plan works out cheaper than single orders, and the driver visits on a fixed day, so you never rebook.

• Essential is AED 250 a month for four bags, one a week. It fits a single person or a couple.
• Family is AED 450 a month for eight bags, two a week. That is enough for uniforms, gym kit and work clothes.
• One-off bags stay at AED 65 each, booked when you like.

Most bags collected in Silicon Oasis are back the following day, which is our 24-hour return for most of Dubai.

Short of time? Our same-day laundry service is express. When you book before 2 PM, ask for express laundry delivery. At addresses inside the express area the bag returns 5 hours after pickup. Message us to ask if your building is included.

• Point to the mark. A collar with make-up, a coffee drip on a sleeve, a child's T-shirt with sauce: tell us which piece and where.
• Say what you used. If you tried bleach, a spray or hot water, tell us, as these can lock a stain in.
• Air sweaty kit. Gym clothes damp in a closed bag will smell in this heat. An hour on a hanger first helps.

The price listed for a shirt from Silicon Oasis is the full price. Hangers, covers and stain treatment are all part of it.

1. When it arrives, we check every piece against your list and read the label. Loose buttons are written down.
2. Stains get hand treatment before any heat is used.
3. Cotton shirts go through a cool wash that protects the fit. Delicate fabrics get the treatment their label calls for.
4. Pieces dry on hangers in filtered air instead of tumbling, so sleeves stay the right length.
5. Steaming starts at the collar and cuffs, with the body and sleeves last.
6. Three checks at the end, then a cover for the trip back to Silicon Oasis.

Here is the easy way to do it.

• Make a quick list. Something like "three work shirts, a suit and two kanduras", plus your building and flat number. Tell us if you like sharp creases or soft ones.
• Pack in two bags. Hanging pieces in one, folded washing in the other.
• Leave it for us. Outside your door is fine, or at the front desk if your building has one. It costs nothing.
• We take each piece through, one at a time.
• It returns on hangers, normally next day, inside a breathable cover.

If it needs a hanger to look right, choose clean and press. In a Silicon Oasis wardrobe that usually means:

• Work shirts. Poplin, oxford and twill cotton, starting at the collar.
• Linen. It creases the minute you sit down, and steam smooths it out.
• Blouses and skirts. Viscose and crepe wrinkle fast and do best on a hanger.
• Suits and chinos. Wool or cotton blends for the most part. A form holds each jacket while it is steamed, which keeps the lapels flat.
• Kanduras and thobes. White cotton, or cotton mixed with polyester. We steam the front until it lies smooth.
• Ghutras. Laid flat on a table, for you to fold your own way.
• Abayas and jalabiyas. Georgette and crepe are only steamed, so black stays a deep black. Message us for the shayla price.
• Kurta sets. We keep the top and trousers as a pair.

• Clean but creased? Pressing removes the creases and skips the wash.
• Silk, lace, heavy wool, beads or sequins? Choose dry cleaning, as water can ruin them.
• Mostly T-shirts, pyjamas and sports kit? A Wash & Fold bag is the better fit.

Not sure which? A photo of the label on WhatsApp will settle it, and we reply before pickup.

Care labels show heat with dots. Three dots mean a fabric can take about 200°C, so think cotton and linen. Two dots, about 150°C, cover wool, silk and polyester blends, and one dot, around 110°C, means synthetics like acrylic. A crossed-out iron means steam only. Our steamer never goes above the label.

• Dark crepe. Black abayas and dark trousers are only steamed, because a hot plate can leave them shiny.
• Collars and cuffs. They get the most time because they are seen first.
• Your preferred creases. Sharp, soft, none or flat for packing. We keep a note for next time.
• Breathable covers. Summer air here is humid, and plastic traps damp. Ours let it escape on the way home.

We collect hanging clothes free from every part of Dubai Silicon Oasis.

• Tell us: your building name, flat number and a pin.
• Easy landmarks: Silicon Central Mall, the DSO headquarters called the Pineapple Building, or RIT Dubai.
• Nearby: free pickup also in International City and Al Warqa.

Hanging clothes from Silicon Oasis usually return next day. Our aim is 24 hours, same as most of Dubai. Delicate fabrics can take longer, depending on the piece. We say so at booking if a piece will need extra time.

Need a shirt this evening? Book before 2 PM and ask for express. If we cover your address, it is back 5 hours after pickup. Some buildings sit outside the express area, so send the name and we will look.

When you book a pickup in Silicon Oasis, tell us about any of these.

• Food and drink. Spills like tea, coffee, wine or ketchup. Say which one it was.
• Make-up. Foundation and lipstick on collars. Point to the place.
• Sweat. White collars and kandura necklines go yellow in the Dubai summer, and a mark treated early comes out more easily.
• Deodorant. White streaks on dark cloth, yellow patches on pale cloth. They are treated differently.
• Perfume oil and oud. A drop can ring light cotton. Show us where and name the oil if you know it.

Each price includes the pickup from your Silicon Oasis home, the cleaning and the return trip. Our bed linen wash and fold gives back sheets and pillowcases clean, dry and folded. Pillowcases receive as much care as a big duvet, they just dry sooner.

• First look. Seams, corners and any stain you mentioned are checked.
• A machine for your order only. The drum needs room for a duvet to move, otherwise water will not get to the middle.
• Mild detergent. It is hypoallergenic and biodegradable, which counts for pillowcases that touch your face all night.
• Dried through. A cover dries before the filling does, so we feel the filling by hand and do not trust the dryer clock.
• Packed dry. Nothing is bagged damp. Bedding is folded and returned to Silicon Oasis.

Duvet covers are AED 31. The cover is taken off and washed separately, so each part gets the right cycle.

Start with a message listing what you have, for example "two single duvets, four pillowcases and a set of towels". Add your building, flat number and a pin.

• We reply with a collection time and the day it will be back.
• Roll each duvet tight into a bag of its own. Sheets and towels can share another bag.
• Collection is free, from your door or from your concierge if your building has one.
• We keep you updated on WhatsApp until it is back.

You can write to us at any hour. Are guests coming tomorrow? Book tonight so the spare bed's sheets are ready.

Duvets and comforters cost AED 56 each, from single to king, and each type is handled a little differently.

• Duvet. This is the filled layer that slides into a cover. The cover is priced and washed separately.
• Comforter. Stitched through in squares, often with a pattern, and used without a cover. Some squares dry slower than others, so we check each one before packing.
• Blanket. A standard blanket is AED 26. Bigger blankets cost more.
• Bedcover. AED 29. It lies on top of the bed and collects dust. Shamal winds carry fine desert sand, and some ends up on beds. Tell us about tassels, beads or a fringe.

If a seam has split or filling is coming out, send a photo first and we will tell you if it can be washed.

In Dubai's heat you wash sheets and pillowcases much more often than duvets, so they wear out first.

• Sheets are AED 25, flat or fitted. Fitted sheets go in inside out, since small items catch in the corners.
• Pillowcases are AED 9. Cotton picks up night cream, make-up and hair oil. Point these out rather than scrubbing.
• Pillows are AED 19 each. Once a pillow is flat and lumpy, a wash will not rescue it. Never wash memory foam.
• Mattress protectors are AED 35. Heat can damage the waterproof layer, so send a photo of the label first.

Sending bedding from several bedrooms? Say which set goes where, so each one returns to the right room.

A towel is AED 7 and a bathrobe AED 19. Soap left in the loops makes towels stiff, so each gets two rinses and a full dry.

• Bath towels. Send them soon after use. Overnight in a closed bag, a damp towel smells by morning.
• Gym towels. Small towels hold sweat, so dry them on a rail before packing.
• Bathrobes. The collar is thick and dries last, so it is checked twice. Loop the belt loosely around the robe.
• Sofa covers. A regular zip-off cover is AED 46. Brush off pet hair and note which cushion each cover fits.
• Tablecloths. AED 19. Tell us what was spilt, and leave the stain alone rather than rubbing.

Keep damp towels out of the bag with a duvet. In humid weather the filling takes up moisture quickly.

These can not go in a machine, so please leave them out of your Silicon Oasis bedding order.

• Electric blankets and anything with a cable.
• Weighted blankets filled with glass or plastic beads.
• Memory foam pillows and toppers.
• Anything labelled do not wash. If you are unsure, photograph the label and we will answer before pickup.

Clothes are a separate order: folded items such as T-shirts and jeans in Wash & Fold, hanging items such as shirts and abayas in Clean & Press. Use one bag per service and one driver will take them together. More bedding tips are in our home linen guide.

Drying is where duvet and comforter laundering spends most of its time. Covers dry quickly, but down, feather and polyester fillings hold water for hours. Even slight dampness inside will make a duvet musty when stored.

• Two to three days. Thick bedding from Silicon Oasis stays with us for 48 to 72 hours so it dries right through to the middle.
• Return day. We message you the date once you book.
