Same Day Wash & Fold Laundry Pickup & Delivery in Al Barsha

Every bag from Al Barsha goes through the same steps, whether it comes from a one-bed flat or a family villa.

• Pockets emptied: we check for coins, pens, metro cards and tissues. One pen can stain a whole load.
• Colours apart: whites and pale colours are washed together. Dark jeans and black tops are washed separately. Fine lace and mesh get a cooler cycle.
• Stains first: we treat coffee, food and sweat marks before washing, because a hot tumble can lock a mark in.

1. Send a WhatsApp. Share a location pin, your building or villa name and your flat number. If you live in a tower such as Zee Zee Tower, the name helps the driver. You don't need an app.
2. Pack the bag. Everyday clothes only. Empty the pockets first, since one tissue spreads fluff over every piece. Put your name and flat or villa number on it.
3. We pick up. At your door, or at reception if your building has one. It costs nothing.
4. We wash. Your clothes are sorted, washed carefully, dried on low heat and hand-folded.
5. We bring it back. A WhatsApp lets you know the driver is heading to Al Barsha. Delivery is free too.

A simple test: if your own washing machine can take it, so can our bag. Leave out anything labelled hand wash only or do not wash. From an Al Barsha home, you might send:

• Workout clothes: sports tops, leggings, shorts and socks from the gym or a run.
• Everyday office wear: T-shirts and polos that are fine folded.
• Days off: jeans, joggers and hoodies. Turn dark denim inside out.
• Swimwear: swimsuits and trunks. Give them a fresh-water rinse and hang them till dry before they go in.
• Summer clothes: thin cotton tops, linen shirts and sundresses. July and August highs in Dubai are around 43°C, which means these are washed often.
• Kids' clothes: school uniforms, pyjamas and playwear. Do up the zips first.

The bag is for everyday clothes. We still clean the things below, but each one has its own price. Book them at the same time and one driver collects the lot from your Al Barsha home.

• Work shirts, suits, kanduras and abayas: book these under Clean & Press. Each item has its own price and comes back on a hanger.
• Silk, wool, sequins and beading: water can harm them, so choose dry cleaning.
• Bath and beach towels: send them through Bed & Bath. Every towel there has its own fixed price.
• Underwired bras and hand-wash knitwear: keep these out of the bag, please. If a label confuses you, send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll check it.
• Rugs, curtains and trainers: each has its own service, listed higher up this page.

Each Al Barsha load is sorted before it goes near a washer or dryer. This is what we do with it.

• Colours: dye in new denim and bright tops can run at first. We keep them well away from whites.
• Weight: heavy denim and metal zips can rub light tops and make them bobble, so they're washed apart.
• One machine for you: your clothes never share a drum with another household's.
• Sanitised machines: the drum is sanitised after each load, before the next customer's washing goes in.
• Detergent: we use a commercial-grade one that's biodegradable and hypoallergenic. Leftover soap in sportswear can itch in the summer humidity, so we rinse properly.
• Dried on low heat: too much heat shrinks cotton and slackens elastic. Before folding, we check by touch that seams, cuffs and waistbands are dry.
• Last look: a loose button or a stain that won't come out? We'll message you about it.

Al Barsha is on our usual Dubai route. We don't charge for pickup or delivery.

• Essential: AED 250 a month for one bag a week, four bags in all. Enough for a single person or two sharing.

• Tell us what you tried: hot water, bleach or a spray can make a mark harder to lift. Mention it.
• Dry damp clothes first: a sweaty top left zipped in a bag overnight goes sour in the heat. Let it dry first.

• Blouses and skirts: crepe, viscose and fine cotton crease easily, so they're better on a hanger.
• Suits and chinos: mostly wool or cotton blends. Jackets are steamed on a body form, which keeps the lapels flat.
• Kanduras and thobes: mostly white cotton or poly-cotton. We steam them until the front panel is smooth.
• Ghutras: laid out on a flat table and smoothed, so you can fold them as you like.
• Abayas and jalabiyas: georgette and crepe are only steamed, which keeps black fabric from going shiny. For a shayla, message us on WhatsApp for a price.
• Kurta sets: the top and trousers share one ticket.
• School shirts: worth sending before photo day for a sharp collar.

• Clean already, just wrinkled? Pressing takes out creases without another wash.
• Silk, lace, sequins, beading or thick wool? Water is hard on these, so dry cleaning is the safer choice.
• T-shirts, sports shorts, socks or nightwear? These live in drawers, so a Wash & Fold bag is the right place.

The heat symbol on a care label carries one, two or three dots, and our steamer never goes hotter than it allows. Three dots: cotton and linen, about 200°C. Two dots: wool, silk and polyester blends, about 150°C. One dot: synthetics such as acrylic, about 110°C. If the symbol has a cross through it, we use steam and nothing else.

• Dark crepe gets steam only: a hot plate can leave it shiny. Black abayas and dark trousers are kept well away from one.
• Collars and cuffs get extra time: they're what people look at first.
• Your crease choice is saved: sharp, soft, none or a travel fold. We write it on your ticket and use it again next time.
• Covers that breathe: in summer, Dubai's humidity can average over 90%. A plastic bag would hold that damp in. Our covers stop dust and let moisture out on the drive back to Al Barsha.

Hanging clothes are picked up free anywhere in Al Barsha, just like a bag of washing.

• Tell us: your building or villa name (Zee Zee Tower or Al Murad Tower, for example), your flat or villa number and a location pin.
• Name a landmark: Mall of the Emirates, its metro station or Al Barsha Pond Park helps the driver find you.

Shirts and other hanging clothes from Al Barsha are normally returned the next day. That's our standard 24 hours, which covers most of Dubai. Delicate fabrics can take longer, depending on the piece. If something on your list needs more time, you'll hear how long at pickup.

Shirt needed today? Book by 2 PM. When your address falls inside the express area, the shirt is back on its hanger 5 hours after we collect. Not all addresses qualify, so send your building name and we'll confirm.

• Food and drink: tea or curry on a work shirt. Let us know what it was.
• Yellow collars: summer highs in Dubai reach about 43°C. That heat leaves sweat stains inside white collars and round kandura necklines. The sooner we get them, the better they come out.
• Deodorant: on dark fabric it shows white, on light fabric yellow. Each needs a different treatment, so tell us which.
• Oud and perfume oils: they can leave a ring on pale cotton. Show us the spot and name the oil.
• Other requests: no crease, a travel fold or a loose button. Add it to the chat.

The price per item covers collection from your Al Barsha home, the cleaning and the drive back. Sheets and pillowcases go through our bed linen wash and fold. They're washed, checked for dry seams and folded flat. A pillowcase gets the same care as a king duvet. It just dries faster.

• Checked by hand: the corners, the seams and any stain you pointed out.
• Your own sanitised machine: your bedding never mixes with anyone else's. A duvet has to move freely in the drum. Squeezed in, the outside gets wet and the middle stays dry.

Any duvet or comforter, from single to king, is AED 56. They're not all handled the same way.

• Duvet: a filled inner that sits inside a cover. Covers are priced on their own and washed apart.
• Comforter: stitched through in a pattern, often printed, and used without a cover. Its quilted pockets don't all dry at once, so each one is checked.
• Blanket: AED 26 for a regular size. Large ones cost more.
• Bedcover: AED 29. It sits on top of the bed and collects dust. When the shamal wind blows, fine sand gets into Al Barsha homes too. Tell us if yours has a fringe, tassels or beading.

Torn seam or filling coming out? Send a photo first. We'll let you know whether it can go in the wash.

In hot weather, sheets and pillowcases get changed a lot more than duvets do. That means they wear out sooner.

• Sheets: AED 25 each, flat or fitted. Turn fitted ones inside out first, because socks get caught in the corners.
• Pillowcases: AED 9. Hair oil and face cream sink into cotton and leave greasy marks. Show us where, but don't rub at them.
• Pillows: AED 19 each. Fold one in half and release it. If it doesn't open back out, the filling is finished and washing won't revive it. Memory foam must stay out of water.
• Mattress protectors: AED 35. Heat can harm a waterproof backing, so send us the label on WhatsApp first.

Towels are AED 7 each and bathrobes AED 19. Leftover soap makes towels stiff, so every towel gets two rinses and a full dry.

• Pool towels: send them straight after a swim day. Left wet in a bag overnight, a towel soon smells.
• Gym towels: a small towel from a workout gets sweaty quickly. Hang it to air before it goes in the bag.
• Bathrobes: the thick collar takes longest to dry, so we check it again before folding. Thread the belt through a sleeve so it doesn't get lost.
• Sofa covers: AED 46 each for a standard cover with a zip. Before taking them off, mark which cushion each cover belongs to. If a pet sleeps on the sofa, brush the hair off first.
• Tablecloths: AED 19. If something was spilled, let it dry and tell us whether it was juice, oil or sauce.

Pack damp towels away from your duvet. In a humid Dubai summer, damp soon gets into the filling.

No washing machine can handle these safely. Please keep these at home in Al Barsha:

• Electric blankets or anything with wiring or a plug.
• Weighted blankets, filled with glass or plastic beads.
• Memory foam pillows and mattress toppers.

In duvet and comforter laundering, the slow part is the drying. A cover is dry fairly soon. The filling is a different story. Down, feather and polyester fillings keep water deep inside for hours. Fold a duvet away while it's slightly damp and it will smell musty, air conditioning or not.

• 48 to 72 hours: thick bedding from Al Barsha stays with us for this long. Dry on the surface isn't good enough. The centre has to be dry as well.
